Jongin: Maybe This Was A Bad Idea...

Call to the Sea

Right now Jongin felt like he’d definitely made a horrible decision coming here with no clue what he was in for. He had already lost the most valuable possession, he has ever owned and he had absolutely no idea where he was going. He missed Krystal and her witty comments, he missed the stray dog that he fed everyday, he missed the smell of fresh bread, he missed the pond where he and Krystal would hide out during the day, but more than anything, he missed having a horse to ride.

Suddenly he thought of the man he met in the middle of the village. He was tall, like gigantic. His voice was so deep and it sent shivers down Jongin's spine just thinking about it. He was also lean looking and handsome. Very handsome, if Jongin had anything to say about it. Why Jongin took note of that, he didn't know. The man was a pirate, that Jongin was sure of. He dressed the way Jongin always though pirates would dress; fancy but stylish and (maybe) affordable. Jongin also noticed a black and gold shimmering gun strapped around his waist and what looked like a knife tied around his leg. That seemed like a pirate-y thing to Jongin. Jongin couldn't help but wish he had learned that man’s name. He bet it was a nice name.

He'd only been walking for maybe 40 minutes when he saw them. Both the men who stole his horse were laughing and walking out of a tavern. Thank the gods this place has so many bars... Jongin thought. Jongin didn't think about anything when he made the (poor) decision to charge the men. He had effectively knocked one to the ground, but then it hit him (literally), there were two.

The first man Jongin knocked down was groaning while the other was pulling an angry Jongin off his friend. Jongin was trying to look intimidating, he hoped he didn't like an angry kitten. “Who are you?” asked the man holding Jongin back, despite his struggles.

“You stole my horse! I need it!” Jongin yelled.

“What if we need it more?” the man holding Jongin asked.

“Were you going to try and steal our horse?” asked the man Jongin knocked down. His hair was bleached and looked dirty. Again, Jongin wasn't sure why that was noteworthy.

Before Jongin could reply the bleach haired man slammed his fist into his stomach. “You can’t steal from us.” he growled.

He hit Jongin again then nodded his head to the side. The other man easily dragged Jongin into the alley behind the tavern.

Once they decided they were far enough from the public eye Jongin felt more fits against his body, all over. He never thought the expression ‘seeing stars’ made sense until right now when he was sure the tiny lights floating about his blurred vision were stars. Suddenly he was tossed to the dirty and wet ground. Before he could move much something was jabbed into his stomach. It was like a quick, sharp sting that made his head rush and entire body tense and shiver. The two men chuckled to each other and began walking away. What they were saying Jongin couldn't quite make out.

Jongin heard a sudden crashing sound and many groans and yells, but still no distinguishable words. Jongin tried to focus his thoughts to count how many people were here but when he tried to move his head up he found he couldn't. Weak was the only thing he could think of to describe how he felt. So weak, weaker than ever before. He felt blood running along his body, but he still couldn't move his head to look. His arms were too heavy to move as well, everything was too heavy. The blood he felt was warm, a stark contrast to how cold he felt.

Everything was getting colder by the minute, so uncomfortably cold. His entire body was shivering uncontrollably despite his best effort to make it stop. He wanted so bad to make it stop. He thought of how nice a warm bed would be right now. Or anything warm really. It was just so cold.

His vision was blurry but he thought maybe he could see someone standing over him. He blinked a few times, at least he thought he was blinking, but his vision wasn't focusing. It was an angel, Jongin could tell. He couldn't explain how or why, he just knew. He was being taken by an Angel. He wondered what it was like in the heavens.
