So We Meet Again
"Mom, you can't be serious! That's impossible. I won't, mom. I just won't!" you yelled as you threw your fork across the room. It fell to the floor.
Your mom went over to pick it up. You could see sadness in her eyes and tears were forming at the edge of her eyes. Your heart sunk and you could feel it drop in your stomach.
You slid off the chair slowly and walked over to your mom. She was staring at you and looked deeply into your brown eyes.
"Why do you not want to go, Meenah? Is it because of Dongho? Are you such a big fan that you love him in 'that' way and you just can't bare to see him because he might not remember the many precious memories that he's shared with you?" your mom asked, placing her warm hands on your cheeks.
All of a sudden you felt hot and your eyes were stinging. All your feelings that you've held inside all of these years, it all felt like it was washed away along with each tear that flowed out of your eyes. You hugged your mom tightly and dug your wet face into her t-shirt. You cried and cried for about 10 minutes until you finally stopped.
Your mom looked down at you and brushed your hair out of the way as she wiped the remaining tears from your face. "Aigoo---my daughter has liked someone for so long without me noticing? She seems to really like him a lot but it hurts too much for her," she cooed. Your mom smiled at you, kissing your red cheeks. She led you over to the couch and you both sat down.
"Mom, I never knew how much I've liked him ever since we were little kids because I just kept all of my feelings bottled up inside and thought that liking him was pointless. I didn't think I would be able to get to ever see him again and then this opportunity just shows up and I can't handle it all at once. I'm sorry for yelling at you, mom." you sniffed. You suddenly felt tired from all of the crying.
You rested your head on your mom's shoulder and she started running her fingers through your knotted hair. "Honey, it's fine. You're 17 and I thought that it was just odd for you not to like anyone!" she joked.
You managed a smile and closed your eyes.
"Yah, you don't have to worry about getting your heart broken by Dongho. If it does, you'll definitely find someone else and I promise you that." she reassured.
You took a deep breath and at that moment, you knew you would follow your mom's desires and move to Korea despite your feelings.

A couple of weeks later, you said bye to all of your friends and best friends and left for Korea. You tried your very best to keep in the tears but they unknowingly fell down. You looked over at your mom and both of you stared at each other for awhile.
"Meenah-ah, just think of this as starting over if you want to. Don't be so sad! You'll be able to come back and visit them if you want to but now it's time to start anew and actually have fun for once!"
You nodded your head and looked out the window. It was going to be a long flight so you popped out your iTouch started listening to heartbreaking songs. You just couldn't help but pretend like you were in a drama because whenever you're listening to music and looking out a window, you just had that instinct to.
Before you knew it, they announced that you would be landing shortly and you sighed. Once you got off of the plane, your mom threw open her arms and yelled, "Korea! We're back!"
You laughed and shook your head as if you were ashamed. She called for a taxi and she showed the driver the address to---Dongho's---house. As it headed towards the house, you watched the scenery outside of the window. You tried recalling the images of Seoul from back when you were just a little girl and realized how much Seoul had changed.
"Mom! Seoul has changed quite a lot ever since we left," you said to your mom. She nodded back, apparently mesmerized by how much activity was going on around the two of you.
You had always lived in a small urban place in ia and rarely went to the big cities except for really special occasions. As the taxi went farther and farther, the bustling activity faded until you arrived at a surburban neighborhood kind of like yours back home. It was quite spacious and you liked the air. You looked up at the house that you were to live in for who-knows-how-long.
It wasn't big like a mansion but it was just...big. It looked cozy because of all the plants and flowers that were surrounding it. You couldn't help but smile because it looked so bright. You and your mom both unpacked everything from the taxi and thanked the driver. You opened the gate, dragging the luggage inside and onto the doorstep.
You looked around and realized that the furniture that your mom had shipped over here had arrived and was sitting outside by the side of the house. You and your mom both looked at each other one more time before you pressed the doorbell.
A familiar figure opened up the door and you gasped. He was taller than you had expected but there he was. Standing right in front of you like a beautiful statue was the one and only---Shin Dongho.
