Not a Burden
NeverlandYIFAN'S POV
I've decided to call Suho first about the incident and call for a pack meeting. It is better if he will be the one to talk to the school's principal as well because I am still seething with anger over the incident. I am protective of the maknaes of the pack. This is also the reason why I've decided to live on the opposite end of Seoul, away from the estate owned by my ancestors. I wanted to protect the maknaes from the harsh wolf training and if I and my six other brothers can handle the pack business, I will not ask the help of the young ones. I think that as long as they can defend themselves from possible attacks if they were not with us, that is already enough. I want them to have a choice to live their lives, choice that we were not able to experience. I know some of them don't even want to be a wolf and have their powers.
One of them is Chanyeol. His ability to produce fire in the palm of his hands is both a gift and a curse. His ability is also connected to his emotions, an angry Chanyeol can burn anything that surrounds him. The same goes for our Sehunnie, his wind can become tornadoes if he is angry, which may hurt not only his enemies but also those he wishes to protect. That's why he chooses to stay quiet most of the time with his face on. That is his way of not getting involved in things that might irritate him. Baekhyun on the other hand already knows what he wants since he was a toddler. Although his Appa did not approve of him studying fashion design, as the new Alpha I choose to stand by his side and support his career choice. Because if I also have the choice I wanted to become a professional basketball player and a commercial pilot. But I have responsibilities to fulfill. Maybe in another lifetime, I will get to choose my path.
When I opened the door of my office, I saw one of the nannies assigned to Sophie, pacing back and forth in the hallway. The look on her face when she saw me going out of my office only confirmed my fears, Sophie is not well. "What did I say about Sophie is my priority, why you did not inform me right away that something is wrong with her?" Before she can answer, I immediately rushed to Sophie's room. I found her crying on her bed. This is not good for Sophie. Because of her weak heart, too much emotion is bad for her, especially negative emotions. That is why we don't want her to feel fear, sadness, loss, and disappointment. I slowly approached Sophie and cradle her in my arms. "Baby, I am sorry if Appa is mad awhile ago. I'm just worried about the four of you." I gently rub her back to calm her down while pressing my lips on her forehead. "Appa, I am sorry, I am a burden. It is not Sehunnie's fault, I am the one not listening to the teacher." "Shhh, baby doll, who said you are a burden
