“I think we went too far” Suddenly, I felt someone tap me and I turned around, causing me to get the biggest shock out of my life…

I saw Eunhyuk glaring at me with intensity in his eyes. It was horrifying. I have never seen him like this before. He seems like he is going to kill me just with his eyes I started backing away when I felt my back hit the wall. He was advancing towards me with each step I take. When he was directly in front of me, his face was inching towards mine. I couldn’t help but to shut my eyes in fear. Fear of him hurting me.

Suddenly, I felt a pair of warm hands gripping onto my wrist and dragging me away. I opened my eyes and saw that it was Eunhyuk. His expression on his face changed. I could see that it was not the one I had just seen but it was the expression, which he wears whenever he was about to break down.

He pulled me into his room and closed the door behind him, not wanting anyone to disturb us. His head was down. His hair covering his eyes causing me to be unable to see what was he doing. I was about to take a step towards him when he looked up.

“I…” he said. Looking directly into my eyes. He had never looked at my eyes directly. Whenever we were to make eye contact, he would look away immediately, not wanting to prolong the feeling. I tilted my head a little, waiting for him to continue his sentence.

“I…” He was still stuck. I didn’t want to probe him since I was afraid that he would break down or lose control of his emotions. I waited for him to speak quietly. He can’t seem to stand still. It has already been 15 minutes an he still have not say anything. He practically walked around his whole room. If he were to really stand at one spot, he would shift from foot to foot.

When he suddenly walked towards me, I thought he was finally ready. However, I was wrong he led me to his study table chair and asked me to sit. I was starting to get impatient but I still didn’t allow myself to show my emotions.

The knock on the door broke the silence in the room. “Hyung, dinner is ready. Come down and eat.” It was Ryeowook.

“I will be down in a minute.” He shouted back and we could hear Ryeowook’s footstep getting softer and softer before hearing the main door shut close.

I stood up and smiled. “ Tell me some other day instead ok? Let’s go for Dinner don’t let everyone wait for us.” I held his hand and pulled him out of his room. When I turned around, I saw him looking down with a slight blush on his face. I couldn’t help but smile to myself.

The next few days passed and Eunhyuk has not told me what he wanted to say in his room. It was then my birthday. I decided to plan a surprise for myself. I was quite disappointed when I realise that none of the boys remembered that it was my birthday today. However, I received messages from Yoora and Soo-Yun. I felt really happy even if the boys don’t remember.

What angered me was that they treated me like a servant today. “Haemin help me… Haemin clean my room…” Haemin this Haemin that. I then had enough. However, someone spoke up and it was a request I cannot deny.

“Haemin, could you help me take my jacket upstairs, I need to go for recording.” I was Eunhyuk. I headed upstairs and did not know what was in store for me. When I opened the door, the house was pitch black. It was weird since it was early afternoon.

I switched on the lights and…

“SURPRISE!!!” The whole of Super Junior were up here and wearing party hats and popping party streamers and decorated the whole house. I then heard footsteps behind and turned around. It was Eunhyuk. He was smiling and I cannot help but to smile back.

When I turned back around, I heard them singing happy birthday to me. Then I felt someone push me gently into the house. I know that it was Eunhyuk since he was the only one behind me. I was very touched. They changed the whole birthday song into a new version, Super Junior version.

“Happy birthday to you….” Ryeowook ended the song with his melodic voice.

“This is Super Junior Version of happy birthday.” Leeteuk said. I didn’t know why but I burst out into tears. All of them came towards me.

“Don’t cry Haemin.” All of them said. I looked up and can’t help laughing. They were like children comforting me. They said it all together and it was really very funny. I wiped away my tears.

“Thank you so much everyone. I really appreciate your thought.” I said. And smiled reassuring them that I was more than alright. I felt wonderful.

“Here comes the highlight of the day.” Shindong said. I then saw Ryeowook from the kitchen holding a cake.

“ Blow the candles. I baked this specially for you.” It was cheesecake, Oreo cheesecake, my favourite. I closed my eyes and made a wish. A wish for my success later. I then bent forward and blew the candles. It was a good thing that they did smash the cake in my face or Ryeowook’s efforts would be wasted.

Each member had a slice of cake. Hankyung then walked out of the kitchen with a bowl.

“Seaweed soup. I know that if it is someone’s birthday, it is a must to drink seaweed soup.” Hankyung smiled and passed it to me. I gladly accept it. I placed the bowl onto the table and gave him a hug.

“Thank you Hankyung.” I then release him, but I realised that it was not a good idea to hug him.

“I want a hug too.” Ryeowook said

“ Me too.”

“Me too.” Everyone then said they wanted a hug. I then gave each person a hug. They came up one by one. The last one was Eunhyuk. He came up very slowly. He opened his arms and I embraced him slowly. The feeling he gave was totally different from others. I felt warmer, comfortable and more protected in his embrace. He smells like strawberry, just like everyday. I felt so comfortable that I didn’t want to let go. However, knowing that there were other members looking at us, I broke free from his embrace and I instantly felt something missing, and that something was his warmth.

They even had a party all set up. We enjoyed the whole day with Heechul’s ‘Horrible’ Karaoke skills and I had many live Super junior performances. Them fooling around, singing songs by other artists. Really enjoyed myself. Nighttime soon came and it is time to take action. Since all of them went back to their rooms, I headed to the room, which I will carry out my mission.

I knocked on the door. “Coming” I heard the owner of the room call out. The door opened a few seconds later.

“Hae… Haemin” Eunhyuk stuttered at my presence.

“Are you not inviting me in?” I asked. He then stood to the side indicating that he welcomed me into his room. I sat on his bed while he ruffled his half dried hair. He was dressed in a singlet and track pants. He was not looking at me nor standing in front of me. He was standing at the window as if when I was going to attack him so he stood at the nearest escape route.

“I have something to tell you.” I said knowing he was listening. He nodded his head in approval of what I was about to say.

“Hyuk, promise me that we will still be friends even after what I said.” He then nodded again. I took in a deep breath and stood up. He didn’t seem to notice me advancing towards him since he has his back facing me.

I was then behind him, putting my arms around his waist. I could feel him jump due to the sudden contact. He turned his head around. He wore a shocked expression. I smiled and loosen my grip. He then turned his whole body around, looking at me curiously.

“It seems like yesterday when I felt that you were my Oppa. I don’t know when I had been feeling for you. I could not stop thinking of you. I then realised that if I don’t put my attention on you, I would feel bad. I wanted to be nicer to you.” I said with my back facing him.

“… I never thought that I would end up this way, end up liking you, Lee Hyukjae.” I then took a step forward wanting to walk towards his bed. However, I was stopped by a strong grip around my wrist. I turned my head around and eventually my body.

He started speaking. “ I thought you liked Donghae? He even confessed to you.” Eunhyuk said.

“You were there?”

“I didn’t mean to eavesdrop. I hear it by accident.” He looked down, afraid that I would bet angry.

I reached my hand to his chin and tilt his head up to look at me. “It’s ok. Don’t have to feel bad Hyuk.”

“But I thought the both of you are dating, I even hear you telling your friend Yoora.”

I giggled a little. “ You didn’t hear the full story. I told her yes we are but then later I told her that I was just joking.”

“So you mean that you and Donghae are not dating?” I shook my head and smiled.

“Then that day I saw you about to kiss him.” He exclaimed.

“It was our plan.”

“What plan?”

“Plan to see if you liked me and if you are you would be jealous.”

“You really like me?” I nodded my head blushing a little.

“You like me but…”

“If you don’t I don’t mind remaining as friends.”

“ I love you.” He then pulled me into a hug. I hugged him back. It felt so comfortable. I couldn’t help it but tears stated pouring out of my eyes…

Eunhyuk’s POV

I was so happy that she liked me back. All along I thought that she was together with Donghae. They seem so close. It seems like it is all a misunderstanding.

I pulled her into my embrace. She has a very comfortable floral smell. It was so intoxicating. I could not have enough of her smell. I hope that time would remain like this forever. Suddenly, I heard sobbing. It came from Haemin. I pulled her away.

“Why are you crying? Did I say something or do something wrong?” I asked anxiously.

“I am just very happy. Its like my best birthday present ever.” I kissed her forehead and wiped her tears with my thumb.

“Can I stay here with you today?” She asked suddenly. I got a shock. She wants to stay in my room with me?

“Ok. But won’t the other members realise?”

“I am normally the earliest riser so it’s no problem.” She smiled.

“Ok then. I am fine with it.”

“I go and grab some stuff.” She smiled and walked out of the door. I looked at her back and found it very attractive. Not saying she is not pretty but I didn’t know why I was attracted t her back. Within minutes, she was back. She laid some things on my table and went to change to her pajamas. She came back with an oversized shirt and boxers. I couldn’t help my stifle a laugh.

“What’s so funny?”

“You don’t look yourself.”

“Ok. If you say so.” She climbed into the bed and covers the lower half of her body with the comforter. I wanted to take a pillow when she suddenly grabbed my wrist.

“Where are you going?”

“Sleep on the couch?”

“You can sleep here. It’s your bed.”

“Ok but isn’t it a little weird?” She shook her head and pulled me causing me to lie on my back. She then pulled the comforter over me. I suddenly felt warm and it reminds me of my mother who tucks me in when I was young.

She was sleeping on her side with her back facing me. I inched forward and s my arms around her waist…

Haemin’s POV

I was about to fall asleep when I felt that familiar warmth around my waist. I turned around and saw Eunhyuk hugging me. I felt a little happy and turned my body around. He was awake.

“I’m sorry if I woke you up.”

“I was not asleep.” He was about to draw his arms away.

“Don’t. Just stay like this.” I said. And placed my head on his chest. I fell asleep instantly not know what tomorrow brings…

When Haemin fell asleep, I have the urge to protect her. She is already me girlfriend and I have more responsibility to protect her. She seems like a gift from above. I couldn’t bear to lose her. I then hear a knock on the door…
