Chapter 22 - The Box
The UnexpectedKyungsoo POV
Today's weather is the total opposite of Friday's weather. It is scorching hot. Waking up this morning, I was covered in sweat. I had to take a cold shower just to cool down. If it's going to be this hot, I'm not looking forward to P.E. today. Lucky for me, I'd prepared everyone's lunches last night or I would have been burning in the kitchen right now. Speaking of lunch, it was time to leave so I packed the lunch boxes, grabbed my backpack and headed out the door. I was halfway through my yard when I see Jongin standing at the gate. "Hey," I greeted, opening the gate's door. "Good morning!"
"Morning," he greeted back, reaching out and grabbing the bag of lunch boxes from me. "Weird weather we're having."
"Yeah," I agreed. I tried to take the bag back but he moved it away from me, putting it behind him. "You don't have to carry that today. It's not that heavy."
"It's okay. I want to," he said, smiling at me. "Come on! Let's go."
"Okay."
Talking about how weird the weather was, we arrive at school in half an hour. Jongin told me he had to leave so I said my goodbye. I took the bag from him and turn away. I was about to leave but Jongin tugged on my sleeve. "Hmm?"
"See you at lunch," he said, leaning in and kiss my cheek. He smiles at me when he pulled back, but I stood there, rapidly blinking at him. With this heat and Jongin surprise attack, I think my face could catch on fire any second now.
"I...it’s really hot," I stuttered, fanning myself with one hand. I tighten the grip of the lunch bag I had hold in the other hand and turn around, running away from him towards my locker. I don't know why but my feet move on its own. He calls out my name so I stop and slowly turn around.
"See you at lunch," he repeated.
"Erm... Yeah. See you," I said before turning around and sprinting away.
Taehyung POV
Upon arriving to class, I see a square red box sitting on my desk. Confused, I walk up to it. "Maybe someone forgot it," I said to myself, but it was unlikely. There was no one around when I got here and class doesn't start until nine, it's only eight-thirty. I place my bag down beside me as I sat down. I pick up the box to see if it had a name on it but it doesn't. I brought it to my ear and shook it. It sounds like chocolate.
"What's that," a voice crept up on me. I turn to see Jungkook standing beside me, leaning on his desk.
"Oh... Hi Jungkook," I greeted him, shaking the box. "I think it's chocolate."
"You think? Where did you get it," he asked, walking towards his seat.
"It was on my desk when I got here," I told him. I set the box down on the corner of my desk. "I think someone misplaced it here."
"I doubt that," he said, taking out his supplies. "Throw it away if you don't want it."
"I don't want to be mean," I pouted. "If it is for me, I don't want to throw it away. It w
