Pairing:woogyu

Call me your last

"Let's break up." The words spitted out like venom and Sunggyu didn't even know if he was dreaming or not. But he'd rather be dreaming because this was not possible. None at all. Yet the fact he wasn't asleep with a nightmare became in light as there's no playfulness in Woohyun's eyes.

His face was stern, the way that he rarely used and nothing was more fearful than his serious look in his face. Sunggyu awkwardly laughed with such hope to lift up the mood, "What nonsense are you talking, Woo? It’s not funny to joke like that."

He wished that this wasn't real but with Woohyun standing so tensely in front of him, it's impossible for him to joke around. "I'm not joking, Sunggyu." The tone in his voice startled him for a while and worst was when he called him with his true name, not the cute nicknames anymore.

"You're not?" Sunggyu gradually stopped his fake laugh to Woohyun's remark. "Then why?" He bit his lips slightly just as Woohyun approached him in a very tough like a soldier. The moment his own back touched the wall, he realized he had been backing away from the man he loved.

"Things changed." He uttered shortly and Sunggyu could see how hard it was for Woohyun to say those words. "I don't think anything changes, Hyun." He tried to sound as gentle as possible cause a slight raise of tone will only make it worst for them.

Woohyun's hands abruptly gripped his arm rather harshly until Sunggyu let out a sad whimper. "Everything has change damn it! Can't you see it?!" It wasn't good, Woohyun's emotion were not stable and it’s good to be true.

"What did--Ouch!" The pain was too much to bear any longer. The grip tightened more and his whimpers were useless in the condition. Woohyun was not going to let him go and it was the last straw for him. In a blink, Sunggyu flipped their position, pinning Woohyun on the wall with his sudden increase of stamina.

The younger was astonished with his action but never commented about how hurt Sunggyu slammed him on the wall. Well he kinda deserve it. Woohyun looked at him with sad eyes and once again his lover confused him. First, he was mad and ready to break up and the next thing, he looks miserably awful. His right hand reached up on his face, caressing the cheekbone gently.

"This is what changes." He lowly whispered but still audible to Sunggyu and just then he realized Woohyun was staring intensely into his eyes. Sunggyu mentally scoffed, of course that would be the reason. Woohyun no longer saw the hazel eyes he adored so much. All in front of his eyes were a pair of crimson red eyes, which can only belong to one mythical creature-

Vampire.

He hanged his head down, no longer allowing Woohyun to stare into his eyes. The strength he put against Woohyun gradually decreasing followed with the colour of his eyes. They were back to hazel.

"Only because of that? Only because you found out I'm a blood monster?" His eyes were fixated on the floor but his voice was stern yet shaky. The raven haired realized he can easily pushed Sunggyu off him but he didn't, he let Sunggyu's arm pressing on his chest lightly.

"I'm sorry." Of course, the usual break up words.

"I trusted you!" He yelled with he hit Woohyun's chest quite hard over and over. "How could you? How could you do this to me? I trusted you with everything. I gave you my all and I told a secret that I would never tell anyone else. How could you be so cruel to me?" His words were shaky in the end indicating he could no longer hold back his tears. It's true that Sunggyu was the one who told Woohyun about his secret being a vampire, damn, it was because they were dating for 2 years and Sunggyu trusted him with all of his heart and soul.

"We're just not meant to each other." Woohyun says, finally pushing Sunggyu off him slightly.

"Don't you still love me?" The need to ask the question was very big so he did, although he could guess the answer. The question halted the younger from going out of the room, he knew the elder will keep bothering him if he didn't answer this. "Haven't you heard a saying 'No matter how much we loved someone, the love will fade in the end eventually' Well, guess what, my love for you has faded." With that, he left Sunggyu, crying on the floor all night long.

"My love for you has faded." Those words kept on replaying in his mind like a broken film and what worst, his heart kept on shattering accompanying with his tears

---

Sunggyu felt an arm draping on his waist and followed by a tinkling breathe against his nape. He didn't flinch anymore because he knew the owner of the arm very well now. "Hyung, let's go out to eat." He persuaded him like the other members did, but he's quite different because he didn't give up like the others. Other members knew about the break up. He didn't have to give them details. They knew straight away once both of them stared to ignore each other.

"I'm not hungry, Myung." Sunggyu lied and his hoarse voice gave it all away. Myungsoo was not dumb. He noticed how thinner Sunggyu became and honestly he hated it. "Please hyung." He tried again, of course he would, and he won't give up just yet, not until Sunggyu agrees in eating even just a bite. But what he didn't know was- Sunggyu didn't have to eat, he just need to feed on blood.

"I won't eat until you eat." He exclaimed like a little sulky kid and Sunggyu on the other hand, sighed. He turned his body around with some efforts until he faced the younger.

"Be a good boy and listen to hyung, Myung ah. Go on and eat, hyung is not hungry yet."

"But-"

"Please. Don't add my worries anymore." Sunggyu practically begged Myungsoo for it. He really didn't have time to deal with other problems. Woohyun was a big deal. Forgetting the man he loves so much was something impossible.

Maybe he said an awful thing because there's a hint of sadness blooming in his eyes. "I wish I could be the one who you worried the most, hyung."

. How could he forgot about that fact?

"Oh, Myung." Myungsoo pulled Sunggyu closer, hugging him so tight like his life depends on it.

"Why can't you think of me more? Why must you keep looking at jerk who hurt you so damn much?! I can treat you better, I know I can! So please hyung, forget him. He walked away from your heart, hyung and I really wish I can take his place."

How can he forget that Kim Myungsoo loves him? He confessed to him a few times but always get dejected because Kim Sunggyu belonged to Nam Woohyun. Even the members knew about this, well it was hard hiding a secret from each other. And now because Woohyun had leave his princess behind, Myungsoo will be the knight who save him.

"No more. Please, no more, Myung." Sunggyu didn't want his friendship with Myungsoo worsen even more. It's enough that things become worst after the awkward confession of his.

"But I can treat you better. I will give you all my love, hyung. You will never be hurt or cry again. I promise with all my heart that I will love you and only you." His words were assuring indeed and that was all Sunggyu needed to let his wall down.

"Will you hurt me?" Obviously, he was scared of that thing over again.

"Never, hyung. I will never hurt you. How can I when I love you so much." His voice was so sweet and so gentle.

One last question.

"Will you still love me if I am a monster?" Myungsoo smiled because Sunggyu looked like a five-year-old kid, asking for a lollipop. "Even if you're a monster, it will never change my love towards you." And that was Sunggyu needed-love.

"Okay." Sunggyu answered and there's no turning back anymore. "Huh?" "I said okay. I will be your boyfriend." Myungsoo's face lit up with happiness and the big smile he was wearing was the proof of it. At least, he can make someone happy.

"You don't know how much it means to me hyung! I'll love you, I will love you will all my heart. Take my words hyung."

"You'd better." Sunggyu smiled as well as he could see how happy the younger was. "Thank you, hyung. I love you. I love you so damn much." Myungsoo didn't have to wait for Sunggyu's reply because he knew it will take some times for Sunggyu to really fall in love with him.

Instead, he leaned closer, capturing those lips which he wanted to kiss so badly. Sunggyu flinched at first but quickly loving how gentle Myungsoo's lips against him. It felt weird to be having someone's taste on his lips once he already used to the previous taste for two years. The kiss was not wonderful and mind blowing like Woohyun's kisses but it is still sweet and he liked it a lot.

Don’t worry, Sunggyu. Love grows.

---

Everything was going well for Sunggyu, well half well but it was enough for him. Woohyun had gone for two weeks thanks to his individual activity in Japan. Also in this two weeks, Myungsoo kept on giving him the love he wants, maybe just maybe, this thing could work up between them.

The other members didn't say a word about his new relationship but Sunggyu knew they were happy because it stopped him from being miserable enough. Though things will be awkward between him and Woohyun, hell it will never be the same anymore for them, the members only stayed quite.

Once Woohyun was back from Japan, he never tried to talk to Sunggyu and same went for Sunggyu. There was nothing more to talk between them it was all over. But Sunggyu was wrong, Woohyun had something to talk.

"Are you with Myungsoo now?" He asked, stopping Sunggyu from going into the practice room.

"It's none of your business." Sunggyu grunted, not sparing a gland towards Woohyun.

"I take that as a 'yes'". He said and finally leaving the elder. Sunggyu didn't dare looking back at Woohyun and if he did, he would notice how hard Woohyun was gripping his own knuckle.

---

Everything happened in a blink of an eye in the dance room. Sunggyu couldn’t comprehend what just happened. He heard the members yelling over his name and he realized he was falling, falling into darkness.

---

It felt like a joke, a terrible joke right now. Sunggyu smiled bitterly, thinking about what just happened. The doctor's words rang inside his head and he still won't believe him.

Sunggyu was given some time alone, no, actually he was the one requested to be alone because he needs to put the puzzles together. There were too many questions lingering in his head and he couldn't help it due to his weaken body.

Earlier, he heard some commotion outside, probably the members wanted to give him a quick visit, but a leader's order was a veto and his manager was helping him of course. He didn't want anyone to see him in this miserable state especially his boyfriend.

"You shouldn't be messing around right now." A soulmate was heard suddenly and Sunggyu's head followed the direction only to face with the worst person ever. He was the last one he wanted to see right now.

"Can’t you understand the order? ’Leave me alone.' How did you even manage to get pass Jungryul hyung?" Sunggyu made sure he guarded the door, not allowing anyone to enter except his CEO who only cried once they received the news.

Woohyun shrugged slightly, not bothering to sit beside Sunggyu. Yeah, he rather stood here like a statue than being close to Sunggyu because he couldn't trust himself. "I bragged him with some candies." Of course that would work on his unpredictable manager. "Anyway, back to it, stop playing around."

"Excuse me?" He looked up at him, astonished.

"Stop playing around and heal yourself idiot. You're making everyone worries about you." Woohyun tried to have a proper conversation with Sunggyu but the elder could detect the annoyance in his voice.

"I didn't tell you to worry about me." Sunggyu replied sternly, defending himself.

"I'm not. I'm worried that your condition will affect the group's reputation. We're going to come back in a month and I'm pretty sure we still need a leader though you can be annoying all the time." It was supposed to be a joke, but it turned out to be an awkward one and Sunggyu didn't feel any better hearing it.

To him, his words only made his wound deeper. It's okay Sunggyu, love fades right? There should be no reason to hold on towards Woohyun but yet his heart said otherwise. Both of them knew Sunggyu's ability to heal himself thanks for being a vampire. No wonder Sunggyu never got sick. There was once he sprained his ankle badly, but the next second, the swelling was gone and he could dance all night. The others pondered about it but shrugged it off once Sunggyu said the injury was not too bad.

"We need you as a leader so stop playing around and heal yourself." Woohyun leaved and Sunggyu just smiled bitterly. If only I could.

---

It was hard to convince Jungryul hyung to let him inside because Sunggyu was being an idiot. But he understood him, Sunggyu's behaviours in hiding his own weakness. He never let anyone to see his tears, his pain and his worries. No one was allowed to see them except for him.

Woohyun closed his eyes with his back leaning against the cold wall. The image of Sunggyu back then scared him. He looked so weak, so fragile and it took everything to suppress him from hugging the elder. That's the reason for standing so far from Sunggyu. He will, no absolutely will take the elder in his embrace if he stays near him.

His words sounded very cruel, but he meant it. How can he bear the sight? As if Sunggyu will die soon. He lied so that Sunggyu will heal himself fast, he wants him back in the dorm, dancing in the practice room without any flaws. Though he knew he lost every right to care about Sunggyu, he just couldn't stop worrying about him.

Jungryul hyung was still with the other members, comforting them especially Myungsoo, who claimed he has every right to see Sunggyu right now ( Woohyun almost snorts at his comment). He knew there won’t be a need for him guarding the ward, he will take his leave only just only after he checks on Sunggyu again.

He slowly opened the door, afraid to wake up the elder if he was sleeping and his hunch was right when his eyes landed on the weak figure sleeping on the bed. With a smile, he was about to shut the door close until he caught a figure in the ward. His eyes widened at the sight and without even trying to process what was happening, Woohyun lunged himself towards the figure. He hit him hard until he figure groaned when his back came contact with the floor with a loud thud.

Woohyun held both of his wrists and pinned him down with his body weight, locking him away. Sunggyu who was awake thanks to the commotion abruptly sat up, with his body shivering to death.

"W-woohyun." Sunggyu called, almost pleaded because the man had a knife in his hand. Just now, Woohyun was actually protecting him because the unknown man was trying to stab him.

"Get out!" He yelled, using all his efforts to keep the man down.

No, no. Sunggyu protested but he was unable to utter a word. Right now, he only knew one thing. He only knew that he wanted Woohyun away from the man, safe and sound. If he hurts his Woohyun, the man will pay double, no triple the price. He tried to get off the bed, but his legs were not obeying his brain commands. No matter how hard he tried but it was useless, he was too weak to walk or even do anything.

"Woohyun, stop!" Sunggyu cried, pleading. "Please, Woohyun!" He was scared Woohyun will get killed, if the one who should be killed was him, not his precious one. The raven man gritted his teeth, holding back the criminal with all his strength.

" Sunggyu, just get out!" He somehow could read the situation that Sunggyu couldn't walk right now and he’s not thinking even properly. Hell, who would when there's a man trying to kill him in this room. Everything became a chaos once the man broke free, tossing Woohyun out of his way harshly on the floor. And he was once again charging towards Sunggyu with the knife. But before anything, Sunggyu caught a glimpse of a shadow moving so fast until his eyes couldn't catch him. The next thing he could see was the man's neck was snapped by a soulmate face.

"Wow, that's something you don't see every day."

"Henry?!" Sunggyu's voice rang out of curiosity. But only one thing he could process right now- if Henry was right here then it meant that something bad had happened.

"What the hell?" Woohyun who was still recovering from the impact shrieked once his eyes caught on the dead man. He was slowly turning into ashes. Henry scrunched his nose due to the bad smell emitting from the ashes now.

"My bad, I'll call my people to take care of it." The man so called Henry. Woohyun could guess he's the same kind of Sunggyu thanks to his impressive strength and his dark crimson eyes.

"What's happening, Henry?" Sunggyu asked him, literally begging him to answer what was the situation because it was too much for him.

"Shh, cous, lie down first." Henry urged Sunggyu to lay back on the bed, insisting him to rest first. "Everyone is worried about you."

Woohyun cleared his throat, slightly dislike the feeling of being ignored. In fact, he wanted all to be cleared right now. "Mind explaining what's really happening? And why was that guy trying to cut Sunggyu's head off?"

Henry raised an eyebrow towards Sunggyu, silently asking him a question that even Woohyun could predict. "He knows." it turned out barely as a whisper but still heard.

"That's something new. Okay, let's start with some introductory shall we? I'm Henry, Sunggyu's cousin." He offered his hand for a handshake and Woohyun absentmindedly received.

"Woohyun. Nam Woohyun, his bandmate." Henry raised an eyebrow once again at his remark. He knew it was impossible for Sunggyu to tell anyone about his identity unless-

"Ex boyfriend." Sunggyu finally decided to add something. Of course Henry was beyond shocked.

"Wow, that's something impossibly possible." Sunggyu rolled his eye and thanked when Henry started to do some explaining. "Woohyun right? The man, no the thing you just saw me killed was called a snipper. They're not human, rather what we can say they're greedy vampire. For a vampire to gain total immortality and power, they need to drink from the holy water, but as a return their insanity are taken away. They are what we called a snipper and unfortunately, they are not fond towards the normal vampire because they thinks they deserve to rule all the vampires."

"For that, we are always hunting each other and usually they won’t recklessly attack us at this time of hour." Henry was referring to the morning. Snipper couldn't stand sunlight, it burns to them not like the normal vampire. "But they will attack at any hour in Sunggyu's condition."

Woohyun's eyes were on Sunggyu at the remarks and he could see Sunggyu was trying to hide himself. "What do you mean 'Sunggyu's condition'? He's not sick right? If he is, then it shouldn't be a problem for him to heal himself. Come on, you vampires always do that." Woohyun inquired a statement but still his voice was laced with worriedness.

Henry sighed slightly, almost looking defeated. "We do heal excellently, but not for Sunggyu, not this time."

"What?!"

"Is it time already?" He asked with his eyes begging silently towards Henry, hoping that he wouldn't agree with his words.

"Yeah, 2 weeks." Henry answered.

"I would really appreciate if anyone would explain this to me." The confused Woohyun quickly stated as he didn't like to be left behind especially in this important condition.

Sunggyu looked at him bitterly, as if he regretted for everything. "I'm going to die Hyun, in two weeks." That nickname, it hurt to hear him called him like that when he couldn't touch him right now but his heart almost stopped.

"B-but you're a vampire. You can't die." His words were stuttering, it was clearly seen he was afraid with what was happening.

"We're not immortals Woohyun. We can die." Sunggyu was right, their life span just are same as humans but they can heal themselves allowing them to live longer to an extent, but they will die eventually.

"Unless, we find you your soulmate." Henry spoke out, giving an idea that will be impossible.

"It's impossible. Let me just die in peace." Sunggyu groaned in defeat, snuggling his face in the pillow. He was ready for this. For death yeah. Because he knew finding his soulmate will be a mere possibility.

"What's a soulmate?" Henry was having a hard time having to explain everything to Woohyun, but he had to or not that brat wouldn't stop asking him more questions.

"Soulmate is a person who is bonded to the vampires. Most of no, all of the vampires will know their soulmate once they were born, because the soulmates are always among the vampires....except for Sunggyu." Woohyun eyes felt on Sunggyu, who was hiding his face, obviously didn't adore the fact about what they were talking about. "Sunggyu's special. When he was born, he had no soulmate, no one had the same scent as him. The only possible conclusion was, his soulmate was not among the vampires."

"A human?" Woohyun guessed and he merely nodded.

"Sunggyu was allowed to live like a human, go schools with them and interact with them so he can find his soulmate." Henry stopped for a while before continuing. "We were supposed to find them before we turns 25, and for Sunggyu the due date is in two weeks, and unfortunately he failed to find the right person."

"Let me get this straight." Woohyun cleared his throat because he didn't think he could say those words. “He will die if he doesn’t find his soulmate or something?”

“Yeah.”

“T-then what am I?” Woohyun asked and instantly Sunggyu knew the question was directed towards him. “Did I mean anything to you?” He knew very well Woohyun was referring to his relationship back then. Damn he was so sure, that Woohyun would be the one, but he was wrong.

“We’re over, isn’t it? You’re the one who broke up with me, remember?” He painfully pointed and slumped down on the bed once again, completely tiring his body. He was getting week every single seconds and just saying a few words tired him much more than usual.

Woohyun clenched his fist with his head hanging down. Sunggyu was right. But there could be a possibility right? The two years of happiness they shared, it must be something right? Unless, Sunggyu did move on.

“Then, why don’t you ask your new boyfriend to be your soulmate? I know he will be more than happy.” Woohyun said sarcastically because honestly the fact annoyed him the most, he felt like burning the whole world.

Henry once again looked surprise. “Wow cous, you shocked me more than twice. Woohyun’s right, maybe he’s the one.”

“He’s not!” Sunggyu exclaimed suddenly raising his own tone, startling the two. “I can’t take the risk, Henry.” He lowered his voice through the end and Henry knew Sunggyu was right on something. Not when I don’t love Myungsoo at all.

“What risk?” Woohyun questioned with his eyes burning to know more.

“Well—“

“There’s no need for you to know.” He cut Henry’s words because stating the statement will only make Woohyun do something stupid. Maybe, if Woohyun still have feelings for him that is.

“There must be a way! We need to find your soulmate fast.” Woohyun exclaimed looking all serious and Sunggyu just wanted to laugh his off so he did.

“Why are you so worried about me, Nam? You pushed me off and now you want to save my life? Don’t be a hypocrite and leave me alone.” His words were filled with hurt, Henry could sense, how much Sunggyu still holds the feeling towards Woohyun.

Woohyun’s face stiffened for a while. “But you’re still our leader, we, as Infinite, needs you so, don’t you go dying on us.”

---

“I still don’t understand why this idiot is following us.” Sunggyu hissed in annoyance as he slumped his back against the passenger seat at the back of the car. Unfortunately, Woohyun was sitting next to him, not literally next, there was a space between them.

Woohyun knew Sunggyu wouldn’t approved if he stated his intention of following these two vampires earlier, because the only viable reason Sunggyu could give was it was too dangerous and Woohyun is not strong enough. But right now, Sunggyu was the weakest.

“I told you I won’t let you die, not when you have to carry our group.” Of course, that would be Woohyun’s answer, all the time. Sunggyu felt so burdened every time Woohyun mentioned about Infinite. The group meant so much towards Sunggyu and just the thought that his condition affect them so much, it hurts. Maybe he shouldn’t enter the group from the first place. It would be better that way—not meeting and falling in love with Nam Woohyun.

“You’re so ing annoying, you know that.” Sunggyu could hear Henry, who was driving, sighed so he decided to shut his mouth than distracting Henry.

Woohyun just shrugged at the comment, ignoring Sunggyu, putting on his earphones because the images before they left burned in his head.

“I’ll come back soon.” Sunggyu managed to calm the other members that he will be alright. He of course lied to them, saying there was someone who can cured him from the ‘unknown’ disease that doctor diagnosed him. Well he wasn’t entirely lying, they were going on an impossible quest to hunt for his soulmate.

“Hyung.” That broken voice only added Sunggyu’s guilt. The more he looked at Myungsoo, the more he felt like killing himself although he was on verge of death. He pressed his forehead against Sunggyu’s, enjoying their last moment together. It was unfair from Myungsoo. Sunggyu kept himself from the others and when he finally decided to see him, he was going away. But he knew better, Sunggyu needed to go, to find cure.

“Hey, I’ll come back before you know it.” Sunggyu whispered because it’s painful for him to see Myungsoo so sad like this.

“You better hyung.” He pressed his lips over Sunggyu’s and the elder gladly responded, loving the way Myungsoo held him so preciously. “I love you.” He said against his lips and Sunggyu just smiled bitterly.

“Me too.” Only in this, he lied.

His main feeling was jealously. But Woohyun shrugged it off. Henry explained earlier that there’s someone who can help them find the soulmate. The reason why Woohyun followed him was the CEO’s order (well actually Woohyun begged him for him). He needed to be with Sunggyu, he just had to. If not, he will regret everything.

From the mirror, Henry could see the looks that Woohyun was giving at Sunggyu. His cousin was sleeping with his head against the window and Woohyun was staring at him from the start, afraid if Sunggyu will bump his head hard on the window. He knew that look. Woohyun still had feeling towards Sunggyu. Usually he won’t allow anyone to involve with them, especially a mere human, but Woohyun was an exception. Why? He’s still betting on Woohyun. He’s Sunggyu’s soulmate, he was sure about it.

It took Sunggyu three times to hit his head against the wall unintentionally and he woke up groaning. He wanted to sleep so badly, his body was yearning for some rest. He turned to his side and saw Woohyun was throwing his glances over the window obviously absorbed with his IPod. It looked like he had no choice.

Brazenly, Sunggyu placed his head over Woohyun’s shoulder, which successfully shocked the younger. Before he could say a word or react, Sunggyu said, “Borrow me your shoulder, I’ll treat you ice cream later.” He treated Woohyun like a kid but Woohyun didn’t complain, in fact, there was a small smile hanging on his face.

Sunggyu’s felt suffocated being able to smell the scent he missed the most so near to him. He ignored it but it was hard once his ears caught on the song Woohyun was hearing, it was faint but still he wasn’t stupid to realize that Woohyun was playing their song. The song they both sang at the concert together as ‘Infinite V’. It was so ironic. Why would Woohyun still hold on those memories?

He didn’t feel like sleeping anymore, because he’s afraid. Afraid, that he won’t get this chance anymore. He wanted to feel Woohyun, to be close to him, so he might just took this opportunity even though he knew Woohyun hated him. Henry pulled the car once they reached a petrol station. He informed about they needed to fill the petrol and he excused himself to but some refreshment drinks.

Woohyun on the other hand, didn’t know how to describe his feelings. Everything was jumble up and down.

“Hey Woohyun.”

“What?”

“Do you ever love someone so much?” Sunggyu had to ask the question but seriously he just blurted it out as well confused.

Woohyun gave a think on that question but gave an answer in the end. “I did.” His breath hitched but continued. “And I still do.”

“Is that someone me?” Sunggyu pried his head from his shoulder only to look at Woohyun’s face so he would know Woohyun won’t be lying.

“Maybe.” Woohyun shrugged and his eyes fixed on Sunggyu’s lips. They’re inviting as usual and Woohyun couldn’t hold back anymore, not when Sunggyu asked him that question.

Sunggyu closed his eyes once he felt Woohyun leaned over, he just needed to feel to lips again, even for the last time. Maybe a goodbye kiss. No, Sunggyu wanted more. He felt the breath over his lips, he knew they’re too close.

And yet, Woohyun pulled back. Sunggyu realized once there was nothing happening and unfortunately he was unsatisfied with this. “You wanted to kiss me.” Sunggyu exclaimed and he was sure in Woohyun’s eyes just now he could see a glint of love for him even just a small one.

“I did.” Woohyun didn’t deny it, yet his eyes never found Sunggyu’s right now because he’s afraid he will loss control of himself again.

“And why didn’t you? We both wanted this.” Sunggyu felt truly frustrated. He wanted to pull Woohyun and kissed him so badly because he wanted this too, not just him.

“Yeah, but this is wrong.” Woohyun exclaimed.

“Why?”

“If you think I will steal my own friend’s boyfriend, I won’t. I’m not the type who steal someone’s boyfriend.” He was right. Woohyun had no right to do this with Sunggyu, especially when Sunggyu’s with Myungsoo right now.

“Does this mean you love me? You still love me?” Sunggyu felt like crying because he was so ing stupid. He should’ve seen that Woohyun’s love for him still burned, it never faded away, just Woohyun hid it for a reason he didn’t know.

Before Woohyun could protest, Henry came in the car, noticing the eerie situation between the two of them. They both nodded when Henry asked were they okay. Sunggyu won’t let this slipped away from his fingers. He will talk about this with Woohyun when they’ll have the time alone.

---

It took them 6 hours to get to the destination. When they stepped their feet on the ground, Woohyun could only sigh in relief because he couldn’t stand the awkwardness between him and Sunggyu. Moreover, Henry’s silence didn’t help them at all. Sunggyu on the other hand, had some difficulty in walking, of course he would, and he’s getting weaker day by day.

Henry was the one who fast enough to catch him from falling, pulling him closer. Sunggyu mouthed thank you with a smile towards his cousin and Woohyun felt jealousy once again crept into him. He knew Henry was just his cousin, but still he couldn’t help it.

“Where are we?” Woohyun questioned, looking back at the two, who were walking far behind because of Sunggyu.

“Somewhere with a chance to help Sunggyu.” Henry, who had his arm draped over Sunggyu’s waist, answered before pointed towards a hidden house, located quite far from their standing. It may take some time to walk on foot there. “There. There’s the place.”

“Man, can you choose a better place?” Woohyun whined, absolutely disliking this idea because the house looked probably haunted. It was a double storey wooden house in the middle of the forest and what freaked Woohyun the most, there was spider webs all over the house.

“Come on, no slacking.” Henry urged Woohyun to keep walking towards the house. Once Woohyun noticed Henry was already panting for having to carry half of Sunggyu’s weight, he didn’t think twice to take Sunggyu into his arm.

Sunggyu protested. “Go away, I wanna stick with Henry.” Woohyun’s blood boiled just to hear that. He tightened his hold on Sunggyu’s waist, holding him so close until Sunggyu could hear his heartbeat.

“Don’t complain. Henry’s already tired.” Woohyun’s right, Sunggyu shouldn’t burden his cousin so much. Henry explained it was okay and he could endure it but Woohyun insisted with Sunggyu’s mouth shut in this moment.

They were getting closer towards the house and Sunggyu’s really pulling them down with his slow walks. By then, Woohyun couldn’t take it anymore. “Hold on.” Sunggyu didn’t manage to process about Woohyun’s warn and he squeaked once he realized Woohyun just pulled him up into his arm—carrying him in a bridal style.

“L-let me go.” Sunggyu warned in a difficulty. He was sure his cheeks were turning red because of the sudden hotness he felt in his body.

“No, you’re just going to pull us behind, so be quiet.” Sunggyu was close to snap and get angry at Woohyun but he could feel the energy slowly draining from his body. All he wanted to do right now is rest and with his head unconsciously leaned on Woohyun’s chest—Sunggyu concluded this was the best place to sleep on, and soon, he fell asleep in Woohyun’s warmth.

---

Sunggyu’s eyes fluttered open just to meet with a dim still blinding light. He quickly adjusted the light and stirred, completely awake right now. Looking around, Sunggyu knew they were not in the forest anymore. Instead, he was in a house. The furniture were dusty old, with a few spider webs hanging from the ceiling. But at least, it still had a look of a house.

“Hyung, you’re awake.” Henry approached him with a smile and by his face, Sunggyu knew he was relief about something.

Sunggyu attempted to wake up, but the arm draped on his waist (he didn’t notice it before) tightened even more, not allowing him to stand up. Sunggyu looked up and saw the face he loved to stare the most. Woohyun gazed at the hazel orbs once again before looking away. Yeah, that was kind of his habit a few days ago. He couldn’t even look at him straight into the eyes.

“Stay down, you’re still weak.” Sunggyu realized he was still in Woohyun’s arms, he was sleeping in his arms all along. Even though they were sitting on the dusty wooden floor, Sunggyu didn’t mind because Woohyun’s with him. And the best part, Sunggyu can use his chest to lean on again. He just adores Woohyun’s heartbeat, it’s calming like always.

“Where are we?” Sunggyu questioned, snuggling against Woohyun, who happily pulled him closer.

“In some old hag’s house.” Henry sent a glare at Woohyun thanks to his answer. “What? I’m telling the right thing.”

“We’re at Sylvania’s house.”

“That old hag witch?” Sunggyu questioned bluntly, not even caring with the owner of the house heard it.

“Wow, no wonder you two dated before.” Henry sighed in defeat. These two really weren’t grateful. That old witch was the only choice to be left off. “Be nice, Gyu. She’s the only one who can help us right now.”

“And how would that be?” Woohyun spoke but instead of Henry answering it, Sylvania shocked the three.

“I got it! I got it!” She shouted, running from the basement (which Sunggyu could guess where’s the weird potions and big pots were) over the there. Well, she looked old, dressed in dusty dull clothes—really fitted with the term ‘old hag’. Thank God she didn’t wear her weird talking hat with her today.

“I found the secret potion.” Sylvania said and they could guessed she was busied doing some experiments down there. “Now, for the last ingredient.” She grimly said with a scary smile and approached Sunggyu in slow steps.

In instinct, Woohyun’s grab on him tightened, almost shielding him from the evil witch. Henry on the other hand, was ready to prepare for the worst because the witch is unpredictable. Before any of them could do something, she picked one strand of Sunggyu’s hand by forced, earning a soft whine from the hurting boy.

She excitedly put the brown hair into the green potion and in just a blink of an eye, the solution turned into moonlight blue. The colour was pretty for sure, but it didn’t end that soon. It started to boil, letting out cloudy smoke into the air and there was it. The thing that they were looking for.

In the air right now, just above them, were a big map of the world. It was so beautiful to see the map glittering with small sparking dusts.

“What—?”

“Patience boy. Patience is all you need to see the answer.” The old hag reminded with her baggy eyes also immersed, looking at the map, same as the three. “Look.” She finally said with a small smile. “Your answer.”

They could see it too, on the map, there was a place mapped with red dot on it, and there’s the place which held all the answer.

“That’s the place, Gyu. The place where your soulmate is.” Henry explained with the widest smile he could put because he was so damn happy.

But not for Sunggyu or Woohyun. The two of them looked hurt, disappointed. All this time, Sunggyu was silently praying that it would be Woohyun, he was so damn sure about it, but he was wrong. Maybe Woohyun was right, they weren’t meant for each other.

Woohyun on the other hand, he knew he should be happy and he did, but not as much as Henry because this only confirm that he and Sunggyu will never be together. At least Sunggyu didn’t have to die, yeah its better this way.

“Where’s the place?”

“It’s in Paris.” Sylvania answered.

“But Paris is a big place, can’t you find somewhere close?” Henry asked because it will be almost impossible to search for Sunggyu’s soulmate in a big country plus Sunggyu had to fall in love with that person and same goes to the person too. It will be impossible for two weeks.

Sylvania looked at them with empathy. “I’m sorry young boy, but that’s all I can do. I’ve reached my limit.”

Sunggyu knew it. It will be useless. In the end, he’s going to die like he predicted.

“There must be some other way to save him!” Woohyun exclaimed.

“Oh dear of course there is, it’s the only option for a special vampire like you.” Sylvania explained and Sunggyu knew what she’s gonna say.

“No, please don’t. He must not know about this.” Sunggyu practically begged her not to spill the beans towards Woohyun.

“What I must not know? Gyu, tell me!” Woohyun was getting slightly pissed off because this will be the second time Sunggyu tried to hide about this. Sunggyu shook his head as a reply. “Why can’t I know?” He asked once again, this time his tone was softer.

“It’s for your own good, Woo.”

“How can it’s for my own good when you’re dying, dammit?!” The dark haired pulled Sunggyu into a hug, crying. Yes, he couldn’t hold back his tears anymore because he’s going to lose Sunggyu for good in two weeks period.

“Shh, it’s going to be okay.” Sunggyu coaxed him, Woohyun’s back softly, hoping he would stop crying because it hurt to see his tears and it made him wanna cry too.

Henry left the two for a while, accompanying Sylvania to clean up the mess from the potion.

“I’m quite surprised the raven haired boy is not the one.” She spoke because even she could see the love from both of them.

“Honestly I am too.” Henry agreed, simply his mind his clouded with the problems and how to solve them in two weeks. There were no choice left. Sunggyu will die, in two weeks, and there’s nothing he could do about it.

---

The three left the house after Henry paid Sylvania for her service. Henry didn’t had the heart to ask Sunggyu what was his plan and just wait for Sunggyu to say a word. For Woohyun, he kept on having Sunggyu close to him, as if he would lose him in a blink of an eye. He could see the love Woohyun held on Sunggyu was so big, no wonder Sunggyu didn’t tell him about the last option because he himself was sure hundred percent that Woohyun will agree on it.

Sylvania put herself in the basement, continuing in making some more potions which she needs to grow the plants behind her backyard (she needed food to live in the forest of course). That was when she noticed something. A rare crimson red potion with some weird characters labelled on it.

“My, my, did I put the wrong ingredient again?”

---

The silence reigned over them was killing Henry, honestly, yet he didn’t complain. He had no right or the heart to say a word because he was himself grieving on Sunggyu’s fate. How the fate could be so cruel towards him? Dying at a younger age is undeniable cruel and he didn’t blame Sunggyu for not being able to find his soulmate. He knew how hard it is, not having the ability to detect his right one with a glance—not like the other vampires.

From the driver mirror, he could see the long faces, mostly on Woohyun. Sunggyu could predict this would happen eventually but not for Woohyun. Henry didn’t understand just one thing. How could Woohyun not be the one? They love each other—it’s clearly seen in his eyes. Henry didn’t have any clue on why they broke up or how Sunggyu could obtain a new boyfriend in a short time, but he knew there must be a reason behind all of these.

“Do you want to go back, Sunggyu hyung?” Woohyun finally uttered some words with his hand blindly searched for Sunggyu’s, who gladly intertwined them, stealing the warmth from him.

Sunggyu stayed silence for a while, most probably thinking and he spoke soon. “No.” He stopped, as if he hesitated with his words. He looked at Woohyun, remembering how much he missed to stare at his handsome face and in that moment, he knew he made the right choice. “No, I want to go somewhere.” He said confidently. “Henry, can you take us there?” Henry didn’t have to been told twice about ‘there’ meant of, because only one place Sunggyu found safe and peace.

After that moment, Woohyun didn’t dare to say a word. Instead, he’s appreciating how perfect their intertwined hands right now with the thoughts on how to keep them as forever because he knew they deserve to be happy.

---

“Where are we?” Woohyun had to ask once he stepped his feet on the ground. Honestly, he didn’t even know if they were still in Korea. They travelled a lot in just one day (4 hours from the witch’s house). Even though he was lost, but his heart was contended because Sunggyu was smiling.

“My house.” Sunggyu said with the smile still on his face. He could feel his face hurt from smiling because he misses this place so much.

The dark haired looked around, surprised by the environment. They seemed like in a forest, not so deep in the dark, but in the part where there was less trees and he bet there’s a river nearby because he could hear the flow so clearly. On top of that, the sun’s shinning straight on the wooden house.

The house looked old, for sure, but it looked cozy for him. Woohyun didn’t miss the smile on Henry’s face either. At least, they could make Sunggyu feel happy for now.

“Come on.” Sunggyu said excitedly, dragging Woohyun towards the house.

The house was empty of course, Woohyun remembered that Sunggyu had mentioned his parents died when he’s 3 and since then he’s adopted by humans. What’s a surprise was the house was clean and the furniture were still there as if someone was living here.

Woohyun was left to roam the house on his own because Sunggyu was too excited to check every single corner of the house. He had a smile on his face once he noticed Sunggyu was in the living room with a frame picture in his hands. He somehow knew Sunggyu needed comfort right now, of course he knew Sunggyu like the back of his hand.

He wrapped his arm around his waist, pulling him close and his chin dug on his shoulder. “Your family?” Woohyun asked, his eyes were fixed on the black and white picture of a cute young boy who he knew was Sunggyu in a glance and two lovely couple behind him.

“Yeah.” Sunggyu relaxed in his arms, enjoying the warmth radiating from the younger. “She’s beautiful, right?’ His fingers caressed on his mother’s picture and he still remembered her sweet voices waking him up every day and how she always sung him lullaby to sleep.

“Beautiful.” Woohyun agreed. “Just like you.” Woohyun didn’t know what just possessed him because he kissed Sunggyu’s milky neck as if he owns Sunggyu and what worst was Sunggyu didn’t complain a bit.

Sunggyu placed the framed picture back on it’s place before starting to drag Woohyun by his hands. This time it’s towards the stairs. “Come on, I need to show you this.”

It was a bedroom, in fact, Woohyun could guess it belongs to Sunggyu. The elder still had the smile although not big like earlier, but the excitement was there. He sat on the single bed, covered with baby blue sheets. Sunggyu quickly pat on the empty space besides him and Woohyun was more than happy to oblige.

“Nice room you got.” Woohyun commented and Sunggyu just laughed and his heart almost stopped looking at how his eyes turn crescents. God, it took all of him from pinning him on the bed and whispering how beautiful he was. Avoiding from his naughty thoughts, he once again roamed his eyes around the room.

He had to say, the room was quite childish, thanks to the bunch of toys at the corner and the story books in the shelf. “Does anyone live here?”

“I did.” Sunggyu answered and Woohyun gave him a look saying he wasn’t joking.

“How come this house so clean?”

“Easy. I paid someone to clean it every month and Henry would visit here at least once in two months.” Woohyun nodded, listening at Sunggyu’s explanation as his hands took a teddy bear on the bed, playing (more like squishing) with it slightly.

“Say, Woohyun, why did you break up with me?” The sudden question abruptly halted every movement from Woohyun. He was literally frozen from his toe to head. Sunggyu noticed the changes on Woohyun’s expression, but he couldn’t let go of this chance—not when he had limited time.

“I told you that I—“

“Stop the bull, Hyun. I know you still loves me.” Sunggyu had to use force on Woohyun, maybe a little bit of violence if he didn’t want to cooperate, because this was the only way to obtain answer from him.

Woohyun sighed with his eyes looking straight towards Sunggyu’s hazel eyes. There’s no need for him to lie anymore, not when he had no time to share with Sunggyu anymore. “You remember when the CEO called me for a 1-to-1 meeting?” Sunggyu hummed on the question. The CEO did tell him he wanted to talk to Woohyun to improve his vocal or something like that.

“And remember the last photoshoot we did for the magazine?”

“Yeah.” Sunggyu answered, suddenly red flushes appeared on his face. “We’re making out in the waiting room.”

Woohyun laughed slightly at the shy Sunggyu, obviously loving every inch of him right now. “Well unfortunately, one of the staffs walked into us without us noticing.”

“No way.” Sunggyu was so sure he locked the door, completely sure of it.

“He did, he had pictures too as proof and he wanted to tell the media about it, about us.” The last words turned into whispers. Woohyun took Sunggyu’s hand in his, holding it close to him. “Fortunately, our company was one step further, they had to bribe the staff, offering a large amount of money. In the end, he accepted it, finally deleting all the pictures of us.”

Sunggyu somehow could summarized the ending. He just knew it. “Jungyeop sajangnim asked you to break up with me, right? So that this thing will never happen again?”

Woohyun nodded, accepting every words from Sunggyu.

“You should’ve told me you, dickhead. I almost hate you for this.” Sunggyu nuzzled his face against Woohyun’s neck, loving his scent so much.

Woohyun smiled slightly. “Did you hate me?”

“I did try but fail pathetically.” He laughed at the remarks and Sunggyu just pouted in annoyance.

“So, what are we now?” Woohyun asked, pulling Sunggyu close to him, as if he wouldn’t let anyone take his Sunggyu right now. “I’m still not stealing you from Myungsoo.”

“You know I never love him.” Their forehead touched together and right now it seemed so perfect.

“Yeah, but you two are together and—“

“But we’re together now. Just you and me, until the end.” Sunggyu was persistence this time. He’s not letting Woohyun go, not after he knew how miserable it was to not having Woohyun by his side. Woohyun’s like his air to breathe. The look in Sunggyu’s face, the love in his eyes were intoxicating. It was too much for Woohyun to hold.

And he didn’t in the end.

“God, you’re so damn beautiful.” Woohyun finally pressed his lips against the lips he missed the most. Like always, Sunggyu couldn’t get enough of his lips, it’s felt so right and he just smiled in the kiss because right now, everything was perfect.

---

Woohyun woke up with the biggest smile until his face hurt so much. He had Sunggyu snuggling beside him, pouting in his sleep once he shifted. It had been a while since he had a good sleep and last night was a bliss. Having Sunggyu beside of him was like paradise. He took his time looking at his innocent cute sleeping face and how his chest went up and down only made him relief because the love of his heart was still alive.

He only had two weeks, no, made it 13 days including today before the dreadful day happened. And he must do something before the date. With some difficulty of Sunggyu who’s unable to let go of Woohyun, he finally got out from the bed with the sleeping figure pouting and rolled into a ball, unpleased with the loss of his source of warmth.

With a kiss on the forehead, Woohyun headed downstairs only to be greeted by Henry, who was smiling like an idiot because he wasn’t dumb enough to realize the two of them had made up. He was happy for them of course.

“I prepared breakfast.” Henry pointed on the half-burned toast, which Woohyun almost cringed at the sight of it. He should make a note that never let Henry or Sunggyu to make him breakfast because the blood-related family really didn’t know their way in the kitchen. “I bought some clothes at a town nearby. Hope it fits.” He continued and Woohyun could only say ‘thank you”. They needed fresh clothes and somehow, they both knew they will stay here till the end. And that’s something Woohyun wanted to change.

“Is there no other choice?” Woohyun asked, and there was no need in explanation. Henry understood it quite completely. “What was the last choice? Tell me.” He really didn’t understand why would Sunggyu wanted to hide it from him.

Henry sighed literally. “You won’t shut up until I tell you, right?” he somehow could guess about Woohyun’s annoying behaviour.

“Yup, so tell me, or I’ll keep you busy with it for the whole day.”

“The fact that you know is that if Sunggyu and his soulmate didn’t do the ritual in two weeks, both of them will die, right?”

Woohyun nodded, absentmindedly talking a bite over the horrible taste of the toast.

“The twist here, if Sunggyu does the ritual but with the wrong person, he or she will die, but instead Sunggyu will receive an extension of life about 5 to 6 years.”

He was shocked hearing the words from Henry. He looked at him with widened eyes as if he couldn’t believe it.

“T-that means I can save him.” He said with a low voice, slowly processing the words. “Oh God, Henry, I can save him!”

“ing no Woohyun!” Henry shouted angrily because he knew Woohyun will act like this. “You can’t do that.”

“Why not?” Woohyun argued.

“, don’t you know what’re you talking about? You’re sacrificing your life for Sunggyu!” Sometimes, Henry thinks that Woohyun accidentally hit his head hard.

“And what’s the problem in that? I see no problems and it will be good for Sunggyu.”

“See, you don’t understand, Woohyun.” Henry shook his head, regretting why he had bother to tell it towards him. “Do you ing think Sunggyu will be happy if you do this?”

“Well at least, he will live. Aren’t you happy if he lives?”

“Of course I will be happy. But what’s the point?! What’s the point if Sunggyu will mourn for your death later? He loves you so damn much. Do you think he can survive, living with the fact that his lover sacrifice himself for him? He will blame himself for all his life.” Henry was right, completely right. There was nothing wrong in his words.

“If our love is strong enough, then why am I not his soulmate?” Woohyun quietly said but it was heard clearly by Henry.

He knew how much the fact hurt him and disappointment him. And there was nothing he could say or do because Woohyun was the one breaking the most, not him, but Woohyun’s heart.

---

They’re like a married couple, living peacefully in a cozy house near the river, with Henry as their maid (of course Henry would be angry if he found out about this). Time was running out for them, they both knew and that’s the reason why they spent their time for the fullest—approaching every single moment.

Tic toc. Time is 01:00.

Woohyun didn’t want this to be over, the scene where he would wake up with Sunggyu’s face and the part where Sunggyu would gladly give him a morning kiss—he would never gonna trade it for anything. Their lives in these short time were precious. Maybe it was short, he couldn’t deny it, but it was all he ever wanted. Just living with Sunggyu, waking up in the basking sun together, making breakfast without trying to burn the kitchen and made out outside like a sick teenage couple.

Tic toc. Time is 00:36.

Henry was a great help. In fact, his work really portrayed him as a maid, okay, butler may be the right term. He’s the one who help them with the food—supplying them with ingredients and most important—blood for Sunggyu. They couldn’t thank Henry for everything because he’s truly a help for both of them. Sunggyu will repay his kindness one day, somehow.

Tic toc. Time is 00:05.

“Hyung, don’t play with your food.” Woohyun nagged him and the elder replied with a whine and a pout on his face.

“But your food taste awful.” Sunggyu exclaimed, being honest once. Honestly eating Woohyun’s terrible cooking for nearly two weeks made him sick.

“It does not!” Woohyun protested and Sunggyu made a bored face towards him. “F-fine, it does taste awful, but still edible.” He muttered. ”I’m never gonna make a delicious meal for you.”

Sunggyu chuckled at his cuteness because Woohyun could be so cute whining like a little kid. “Come on, don’t give up.” He poked Woohyun’s cheek playfully, trying to cheer the younger up. Woohyun was trying his best to cook for Sunggyu but it turned out badly. True that they tasted very horrible but Sunggyu would eat them up, all of them, because they were made with Woohyun’s love. He knew how much struggles Woohyun had taken to make them, so he would be the one who treasure them.

“But time is running out!” Woohyun yelled in frustration, maybe too loud until Sunggyu flinched at his words. The taboo word. “N-no hyung, I didn’t mean to.” He mentally cursed himself for saying that so bluntly. Sunggyu already made it clear that he didn’t want any of them to talk about their limited time. He knew he will die, very soon if I might add, but he didn’t need anyone to remind him that.

With guilt building up, Woohyun reached out for his cheek and Sunggyu gladly leaned into his touch.

“It’s okay, Hyun.” His hand grabbed Woohyun’s calloused hands, giving it a reassuring pressure. “It will be okay.” Sunggyu kissed Woohyun’s hand with love.

But Woohyun knew that was a lie.

Time is over.

Sunggyu could feel it, very well. The crushing pressure on his chest and the pain radiating through his fleshes. It was time. God, he never been scared of death like this. His hands were trembling out of fear and he was crying out of fear. He didn’t want to go yet, no, not when he has Woohyun to be in his side.

“Sunggyu!” Woohyun’s eyes widened at the scene in front of him. Sunggyu was clutching his shirt at the heart side and he crouched in pain. “Sunggyu, please, please, no—not now.” Woohyun cried, begging him though he knew Sunggyu couldn’t do anything to prevent this.

He held Sunggyu close to him as if he didn’t want to give Sunggyu to anyone else—not even death and he would do anything to stop Sunggyu from being in pain. Sunggyu couldn’t stop groaning in pain. Though he knew he shouldn’t worry Woohyun but the pain was unbearable.

“What’s happ—oh God, Sunggyu!” Henry was startled at the sight of Woohyun crying with Sunggyu, who’s crying out of pain. He did expect this to happen but not this soon.

“Henry, please! Help him!” Woohyun shouted, begging him to do anything, just anything to save Sunggyu.

“I-I can’t” Henry chocked on his words once he could see how suffering Sunggyu was with his breathing ragged and the tears of pain in his eyes.

Woohyun couldn’t possible accept this. The fact that his lover will die in his hand without him being unable to do anything—he will never accept this fact. There was one way to solve this, and that was to sacrifice himself.

“Henry, do the ritual.” He made up his mind.

“What?!”

“Please! I can’t lose him, please. I’ll do anything to save him.” Woohyun pleaded him with all his strength because he knew Henry wanted Sunggyu to live just like him.

It took half of him to finally run into the kitchen, grabbing a knife. Henry finally understood Woohyun. If he were in Woohyun’s shoes, he would do the same thing, he will never let his love one dies without him unable to do something.

“Hyung, I’m sorry.” Henry whispered and before Sunggyu could process anything (because he’s in pain), he cut Sunggyu’s wrist, earning a loud scream from the brown haired.

“What..?” Woohyun’s voice was trailed over once he could see Henry’s mouth chanting some unknown mantra over and over again.

He looked closely at him, still holding Sunggyu close to him.

“Drink this.” Henry finally stopped and ordered him to drink Sunggyu’s blood from his wounded wrist. Woohyun looked startled at first but once he chanted this was all for Sunggyu’s sake, he finally did. It tasted awful for sure, but he didn’t stop. If this stupid ritual will make sure Sunggyu’s alive, he will it up.

“It’s finished.” Henry stated once he noticed Sunggyu was breathing normal again. And it was Woohyun’s turned.

He felt like a huge stone was crushing on his chest and the pain was too much, slowly taking away his life. He knew this was the pain he needed to endure, but it was okay, Sunggyu’s alright. The sight of Sunggyu opening his eyes finally, eased him, now he could go in peace. Everything was turning black and all he could hear was Sunggyu’s voice shouting for his name.

---

Everyone was nervous and Sunggyu could understand it very well. It was their first press conference on their new album and it was natural for them to be afraid. And like usual he would be the one comforting them.

“Come on guys, this isn’t our first album, we’ve done this before.” He tried to console most of them but it didn’t turn out well.

“But hyung, what if Dongwoo hyung says something that even we don’t understand again.” Sungjong whined and Dongwoo just chuckled like an idiot because he himself knew he was capable doing that without him protesting.

Sunggyu nodded in agreement. “Then you should shut your mouth Dongwoo.”

“But hyunggg~ Everyone wants to hear my voice too.” Dongwoo whined and Sunggyu just shrugged both of them and sat at the corner.

The others were still busy having their hairs done and Dongwoo and Sungjong were bickering who should be quiet later because both of them were capable of ruining the press conference. This was the usual—the infinite he missed so much, but it wasn’t perfect like it used to be, because there was a missing piece in Infinite right now.

“Hyung.” A voice snapped him back into the reality and Sunggyu just smiled at the intruder.

“Hey.” Sunggyu kindly greeted him.

Myungsoo handed him a bottle of mineral water which the elder gladly reached it. They were in an awkward silence until Sunggyu gave up and asked,

“You and Sungyeol, huh?”

The younger blushed and nodded. It was cute to see Myungsoo’s reaction and for sure Sunggyu was glad that he was over him. He did explain to Myungsoo that he could never return Myungsoo’s feeling and thankfully Myungsoo accepted it. Since then, Sungyeol made a move, confessing to his own best friend and Myungsoo was willing to try on their relationship which turned out to be the best thing ever.

“You’d made a lovely couple.” Only that Sunggyu could comment of because they were called to be on stage.

---

“I don’t see Woohyun shi today, is he sick?” A reporter finally asked the question that all of them fear to answer.

There were no words coming from any of them and Sunggyu knew he should step in front and answered it as a leader. What worst was all the members’ eyes were on him as if begging him to answer it for their sake. It was quiet unfair because they all knew how Sunggyu felt towards Woohyun, yet once again he couldn’t complain, because he was the leader.

“Woohyun shi are unable to come here for a reason. Unfortunately, he won’t be promoting with us on this album due—“

“I’m sorry for being late.” Woohyun suddenly appeared and bowed towards the crowd in front. Almost all the members were surprised at his appearance here.

He gently smiled before taking a seat beside the leader.

“What the hell are you doing here?” Sunggyu whispered, trying to control his anger because Nam Woohyun wasn’t supposed to be here.

Woohyun just dumbly smiled and took Sunggyu’s hand on his thigh, grabbing it tightly. “Talk to you later, and smile to the camera you dummy.” And Sunggyu did smile to the flashing camera, rather awkwardly.

---

“Now talk.” Sunggyu demanded an explanation and no one could stop Sunggyu right now because he was totally pissed off.

“Got admitted faster than I thought.”

“You bribe the doctor again, did you?” Sunggyu knew that was the only way Woohyun got discharged so quickly from his injury.

A week ago, Woohyun injured his foot during the dance practice and of course it was because he pushed himself too much.

“Come on, it wasn’t that bad. I can even walk already.”

“I rather called it limping than walking.” Sunggyu snorted.

“Aww baby, aren’t you happy I’m back already?” Woohyun used his aegyo and engulfed the poor hamster into his big hug. “Don’t you miss me? I miss you so damn much, babe.” He confessed, bringing their lips into a quick innocent kiss.

“Maybe?” Sunggyu smiled and that was all it took for Woohyun to know that Sunggyu had been missing him too. They hadn’t meet each other for a couple of days because Woohyun was stuck at the hospital and Sunggyu was busy checking on the schedule for their comeback.

“Did you feed yet?” Woohyun asked in a low voice, making sure no one heard their conversation. Sunggyu just mumbled that he wasn’t thirsty yet and he knew it was a bull. It was nearly a week since Sunggyu fed on him.

“Come on.” He pulled Sunggyu forcibly into the bathroom, earning a whine from the elder. But it ended too soon once Woohyun had pulled his shirt off, leaving him of a delicious view of half- Woohyun.

“You need this, babe.” Woohyun tilted his head, giving Sunggyu a good sight of his slight tanned skin, as if Woohyun really wanted this so badly. The pulsating veins wasn’t helping at all and Sunggyu knew Woohyun won’t give up if he didn’t take a bite on him.

So he did, slowly piercing his sharp fangs on his neck. Woohyun shuddered at the pain but it slowly replaced by a nice feeling—endorphin. Sunggyu’s bites were like an addiction towards Woohyun and he couldn’t stop liking them so damn much. He would give his body to be bitten every single day towards Sunggyu but he knew the elder was too stubborn because to him, Woohyun means so much and vice versa.

The incident back then in Sunggyu’s house was truly a miracle. Yes, Woohyun didn’t die because he was the one for Sunggyu. He was the one that Sunggyu longs for and it will continue till the end because they were meant for each other. The whole mixed up was because the old witch had mistaken put the wrong potion back then, altering the wrong result, which it should be Woohyun all along.

“You seriously enjoying this.” Sunggyu commented, the blood from Woohyun’s wounded neck.

“Can’t help it, you’re too good, babe.” Woohyun smiled, wiping the blood stain from Sunggyu’s lips with his thumb.

It didn’t take long until both of them shifted towards the bedroom, cuddling on the bed with Woohyun still half- (because Sunggyu had a thing for Woohyun’s abs).

“You know, I was scared of losing you back then.” Sunggyu said with a low voice, honestly begging for the incident to never be repeated again.

“Me too, babe.” Woohyun pulled him tighter, nuzzling his nose against Sunggyu’s hair. That were their darkest memories that neither of them wanted to happen again. For sure, death will follow them again but they could only pray it won’t be soon.

Woohyun didn’t know about what others would think if they knew about Sunggyu’s identity. But only one thing he could be sure off, this side of Sunggyu’s—only he could see them. The cute squishy thing that would stuff food in his mouth and also the dark y vampire drinking up his blood—they are his to see only.

“I love you.” And both of smiled like idiots.

I'm almost done with the masterlist, but real life priorities have taken over for a bit. But it won't be too much longer.
