IndispensableKai's behaviour was a complete change from before, 180-degree change to be exact. A few minutes ago, he was some kind of furious bunny, hopping around his brother's office while venting out his anger. But after his quick chat with his father, Kai became the most weirdest person on earth - spinning around on his swivel chair and laughing hysterically every few seconds. He finally stopped when he heard four knocks on his door, each being emphasised when the knocker paused after every rap. Taemin was leaning on the doorframe, clutching a few files near his chest with one arm.
"What on earth, Kai?" his brother chortled as he invited himself in. "Did you manage to change his mind?" he asked as he plumped down onto the velvet couch at the very end of the room.
Kai snorted and rolled his eyes, "Change his mind? Even if the whole world is against him, he'd never do that." Taemin jutted out his bottom lip and shrugged. He flipped through the set of documents before handing them over to his younger brother. Kai frowned as he, too, skimmed through the files.
"Why can't you just hand these to dad," Kai inquired as he tossed them onto his table. "I'm not the CEO yet you know."
Taemin blew a strand of hair off his forehead before answering him. "Because Mr. Chairman slash CEO told me that you need to do his job from now on, take this as a training for the future." Taemin remarked sarcastically.
Kai smirked at the mention of the word 'future'. His brother noticed and cocked his head a little.
"Taemin-ah," he started, casually slinging his arm over Taemin's shoulder. "I think this marriage might be a blessing in disguise after all."
Taemin knitted his brows and glanced towards his younger sibling, still not getting what the younger meant.
Kai sighed playfully and strode towards his window, staring at the traffic below. "Wu Zhouxun." he grimly told. "Familiar, isn't it?"
