one nine.
IndispensableKai slammed onto the brakes abruptly, halting before a large, graceful house. He unlocked his car and instantly told his spouse to get down and grab her luggage from the boot. Nodding, the latter alighted and did so - staring at the house in front of her in amazement afterwards. It was simply wonderful. She presumed this was going to be her home from then onwards.
The house was well-proportioned, and rectangular, painted a lovely shade of chestnut. A two-storey house with a bright yellow porch that wraps around the front of the house.
She followed close behind her husband, tentatively watching as the other slotted a key into the lock, twisting and pushing the white door open. She didn't dare open for questions and only dragged her luggage along with her into the house as Kai immediately went upstairs.
Awestruck, she didn't bother to ask anything anymore, leaving her luggage by the foot of the wide central staircase to the right of the house. She noticed that there was a mini-office room behind the staircase. Assuming it was Kai's, she went back to the living room - the place were she first saw when she entered.
She loved the colours of the walls - they were a rosy brown colour. The living room was somewhat washed with the different shades of yellow. The couch, had a splendid hue of the almost setting sun - somewhere between orange and yellow - and an armchair of a matching colour was placed adjacent to it. The coffee table had a reddish-orange tinge to it, making the atmosphere seem autumn-like.
And the brunette simply loved autumn season.
Other furnitures and frames found also had other hints of yellow and orange. A few had the colour of chocolate.
widened more than before when she discovered the dining room and kitchen on the left side of the floor. Again, the chairs of the dining area were coated with citrus - and with the russet table cloth - they beautifully completed the autumn vibe. When she checked the kitchen, she was delighted to find light ivory plates and merry yellow cups.
Everything was in place. She even forgot about her sorrow for a while - that was until Kai came down and called her to the living room. For a moment, she didn't even remember that Kai was around.
She managed to feel genuinely happy for that certain period of time.
She scrambled to the couch once the tanned male settled onto the armchair. She awkwardly fiddled with her fingers as she waited anxiously for her husband to speak.
"Funny isn't it - how destiny played with us." Kai chuckled mockingly, crossing his legs
