The brunette placed her luggage - which was only filled with her clothes - by the front doors in an upright position.

Fifteen years. She was going to leave this place after fifteen years of staying there. The place, where most of her precious memories were created.

She was supposed to feel happy though. She was finally able to live with the man she loved and longed for. But, said man was different now. Her dreams have already ended even before they started.

"Hun, breakfast's ready!" her brother called out from the dining room - his tone cheerful.

Seohun was puzzled by this. His behaviour changed by one-eighty this morning when he woke her up. Bubbly and jovial, unlike the night before. "Coming!"

It was a simple breakfast. With only the two of them. Both were secretly thankful that their stepfather was still sound asleep. At least they had all this time to themselves.

The duo ate in a light atmosphere, with Yifan chuckling every once in awhile in their conversation. His sister would return them all with genuine giggles - because honestly - that was the only thing one could've done.

They talked about their wonderful childhood. How their parents would pamper them with hugs and kisses. And whenever Seohun seemed to get more in Yifan's eyes, the older sibling would pout in a corner, refusing to talk to either of his parents. But then his sister would wrap her arms around him, and land a peck on his cheek - making the other feel better.

Their parents meant the world to them, and when their father passed away - their world came crashing down. And their mother had no choice but to remarry. She needed someone by her side to handle the company. She couldn't have done it alone anyway. The board of directors wouldn't have allowed it. She was a female. And we all know where women stood in politics.

Therefore she got married, to the man her in-laws thought would be able to assist her.

She got married to Choi Jinhyuk.

Their godson.

She never felt any feelings for the man, only the company that she and her husband created -  and her children - mattered to her.

And when she died years later due to an unknown sickness, Yifan and Seohun knew then that they only had each other to rely on. That was exactly what happened.

 "You were so childish! Even worse than me!" Seohun chided as she stuffed more food into .

"No I was not! That only happened a few times." Yifan protested in a whiny voice, making his sister laugh even more.

"You're still as childish, Wu Yifan."

The latter stuck out his tongue in disagreement before chortling again.

"I'm going to miss everything that happened here." Seohun whispered as she placed her cutleries onto her plate. "I'm going to miss you."

They locked their gazes - each reading the other's most deepest thoughts.

The younger sibling then realised, that the reason her brother was so hyped up then, was because he was only trying to be strong for her and himself. It shouldn't have been that difficult one to let their sister go once she was married. It was a perfectly normal cycle. And, shouldn't they be happy for their sibling?

"I'll miss you too, Hun-ah." Yifan uttered through a smile. He glanced to the clock before getting up to grab something. "We've twenty minutes left. I wanna give you something."

The brunette watched as her brother jogged up the flight of stairs to his r
