two six.
IndispensableKai had everything planned out. And he wanted to carry them out in two days' time. By then, his father would be abroad, in search for investors who'd be more than willing to invest in his company. Ironic, isn't it. He promised to hand the whole company to Kai, but instead, the old man was still claiming it as his own.
"If Woobin were to ask you out again, just go if you think you have to. I won't mind."
That was the first thing Kai told her as soon as she got up for breakfast. Seohun was about to protest when her spouse added again.
"I can't spend much time with him for now, my dad'll be away in two days, for a month or two." Kai informed, purposely avoiding eye contact as he kept himself busy by searching for his most favoured mug. "I need to pay more attention to the company instead."
It was a pretty lame excuse, truthfully. The tanned male didn't really have to pay more attention at all. Almost a hundred percent of his time was focused solely on his career. But it didn't matter, since Seohun wasn't aware of that.
"If that's so, then don't I have to help you out?"
"I'll just request for Chanyeol's help if I need any. Plus, Woobin needs to hang out with someone - I'm sure he prefers to be around you than me." Kai frowned when he couldn't find the yellow mug. "You'll be on leave for a few days, and I'm speaking as your boss, not your husband."
Seohun sighed dejectedly, curtly nodding her head. She really wanted to spend more time with Kai instead. She wasn't that oblivious, the brunette was well aware of what Woobin felt for her. All the more reason why she didn't want to spend any more time around the other. She didn't want to give the latter male false hopes, nor did she want to disobey her husband.
"Uhm, Seohun. Do you know where the yellow mug is?"
The brunette bit her tongue, "I broke it a few days back, remember?"
Kai hummed in response at the incident. He stuffed his hands into the pockets of his slacks as he dragged himself out of the kitchen.

Two days later, Kai was ready to carry out everything - all he needed now was someone to keep his wife busy.
And he was au courant that his friend would be able to do so.
"Woobin," Kai started through the cell. "Do you have any plans tonight, with my wif- with Seohun?"
The former heard a pause at the other end, followed by a quick hum in reply. "I've plans for tomorrow. But, I can always move anything forward - for Hunnie."
Kai gritted his teeth at the mention of the nickname. "Don't, call her that." he snapped. "Only I can do so."
Woobin chuckled darkly. "What? You sure? It has been quite a while since you called her that, right?"
The bronzed male breathed in and out slowly, deeply - in an attempt to calm his nerves down. If he wanted everything to go smoothly, he needed to get a grip of his own feelings. He needed to be in control of them.
"Anyways, why did you call me? Just for this?"
Kai darted his eyes all around his room, as if the answers were written somewhere. He didn't know why he felt so reluctant all of a sudden.
"I'll hand her to you. But you have to promise. Promise me that you'll never let her go. Ever."
On the other end, Woobin was knitting his eyebrows as close as ever. He hadn't a clue of what Kai meant. Was the other giving Seohun up already?
Not that he was complaining.
"What are you driving at?"
"Just promise me."
The raven-haired male mumbled an audible 'I promise', letting Kai end the call abruptly afterwards.
At seven-thirty sharp, the doorbell rang - and Kai knew exactly who it was. He didn't leave his room and only watched from his window.
He watched as his friend was about to drive away with his wife. But before he was able to do so, the brunette looked up - with evidently sorrowful eyes. The married couple made eye contact, with one hoping that the other would take her back into the house, while the other hoped that she would just return back into the house.
But Kai only turned his back towards the window, slowly listening to his aching heart break into shards.
He shook his head, wanting to free his thoughts of the brunette.
Of his wife.
But he couldn't. The more he tried to, the more his heart shattered. The ache became too unbearable.
He needed to let it out. He needed to confide in someone. He needed someone to listen.

"Mom."
Hyoyeon's eyes doubled their size at her son's condition - his hair was disheveled, and there were tear tracks visible on his cheeks.
Kai was in a total mess.
The woman hauled her son inside, never once did she averted her eyes to somewhere else. She brought him to the living room, but didn't s
