The next morning, Kai didn't expect to wake up to an annoying throb in his head. He must've wept to sleep last night. He gave a once over to his digital clock and slumped back onto the bed. It was the sixth day of the week, and Kai didn't really have much to do since he didn't have to go to work.      He shot back up again and earned himself another pained pound on his head. He groaned and forced himself out of bed.      Maybe he should go to the company. That way he wouldn't need to risk bumping into Seohun again.      He chuckled mirthlessly to himself - Seohun had done the exact same thing months ago after he had strangled her. Avoiding and purposely returning home late. Now he knew what the other felt like then.      Sighing, he took his towel and hauled himself into the bathroom.      While in the shower, he thought of the unborn baby that Seohun was currently expecting. He grinned to himself, proud that he was going to be a father -      But his happiness was wiped away when he remembered once again, that the child will never call him 'daddy'.      ~"~        Fifteen minutes later, he got out of the shower with only his towel wrapped around his lower body. He rummaged through his wardrobe and donned on simple clothes. A red flannel shirt and black jeans.      Nobody would be around the office anyway, so might as well dress casually. He sprayed a generous amount of hairspray and plastered on his signature smirk.      Of course. He should at least look good outside even if he was wrecked inside.      He poked his head out of his door to see if anyone was around. He looked at the room directly opposite of his - the room he used to occupy - the door was wide open. Woobin had probably left.      The latter too, was rarely home.    Kai was thankful he was hardly around Seohun nowadays, since the organisation he was working in was currently facing a crisis. And Woobin had to work extra hours to make sure the company doesn't closedown for good.      But he was also worried for Seohun and the child. Seohun surely needed loads of attention since she was pregnant. He could only hope that the brunette was well-fed.      Grabbing his car keys and other necessities, Kai scrambled down the stairs with light footsteps, being careful not to wake Seohun up. Well, he assumed the other was asleep since her door was closed.      He was about to start for the front door when his phone rang.      'Han'      He ruffled his hair and unwillingly answered the phone. The other male would probably pester him for the whole day if he won't respond.      "Hey Han."      'I heard that you'll be leaving for Japan. Are you crazy?! Do you really want Seohun to move on with Woobin?'      Kai huffed and walked to the couch instead.      "Guess Woobin must've told you huh. What do you expect me to do, Luhan? She's happy now-"      'Is she? Really?'      "She seems to be. And that's enough for me." He lied.      'So you're just assuming. Do you know that she phones Yifan for almost every single night ever since the day she started working again?'      Kai kept mum. He didn't know anything about it.      'She's worried about you. She thought that you were mad at her because of all the avoiding. Look, neither of us can help you if you wish to choose this path-'      "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?! DO YOU THINK I FEEL GREAT SEEING MY WIFE BEING IN SOMEONE ELSE'S ARMS?!" Kai yelled into the phone and now it was Luhan's turn to shut his mouth.      The tanned male pinched the bridge of his nose. "I couldn't take it, Luhan. For the first few days, I saw them interact with each other - I knew I wouldn't be able to hold myself back if I keep seeing the same things again."      'And so you decided that you should steer clear of both Woobin's and her way.' Luhan managed to say as soon as he found his voice.      "I can't just tell her the truth. And neither can both of you. If she can't accept it, it'll be dangerous for her and the baby." Kai let out a steady breath and closed his eyes. "We'll meet before I leave the country. See you soon."      As soon as he ended the call, Kai draped an arm over his eyes and exhaled painfully.      "Kai?"      The male jolted from the couch, startled.      "Oh. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to-"      "No. It's fine." Kai got up and headed to the door, walking straight to the garage.      Unfortunately for him, Seohun was persistent herself.      "Kai. Stop doing this. Please." Seohun caught of his sleeve, and for a soon-to-be mother, her grip was quite strong. "Ugh. You really like to make people beg, don't you?"      Kai turned back to her and raised both his eyebrows.      Slowly, her eyes widened when realisation hit her. "No. I didn't mean it that way." She looked away when she felt her cheeks starting to heat up. "God. This is so embarrassing."      Kai smiled genuinely at how easily red his wife got.      "Oh?
