“Dae Eun-ah…” Jung Ah called.
“Mmm?”
“What’s your relationship with Jung kook?”
“Friends? Why do you ask?”
“Well… you know… I see you fluster sometimes when you’re around him.”
“How so?”
“Well… Let’s just say you look like a tomato now and then when you see him.”
“Tomato?”
“Yes tomato.”
“Your point being?”
“I think you are developing some feelings for him.”
“How so?”
“Did you not hear a single word I just said? Aigoo…” Jung Ah decided to come to my house early evening to sleep over. She would do this occasionally because she thinks it is much more comfortable than sleeping in her own house. Not that I minded the fact she could live with us.
“Where are your parents? Shouldn’t they be home by now?” She said after having look at the digits on the lock screen of her phone.
“Long story short, they’re in South America?”
“I just noticed that you question your answers after Jung kook mentioned it.” We were in the small living room upstairs flipping through channel to channel. I decided to go into the mini kitchen I have near the living room and my bedroom. The mini kitchen consists a mini fridge a counter and some cupboards that consist of lollies and snacks in case I was to have any friends sleep over. Well, friend in that matter. I didn’t really care though. The less people, the more lollies for me.
“Ooh! Can you get me a packet of pockey Dae Eun-ah?”
“Which flavour?”
“Strawberry.” I handed it to her as we watched a horror movie that was playing on the TV. Insidious it was. I turned off the living room lights before proceeding to my spot on the couch. I glanced at Jung Ah and she was already prepared to hide herself behind the pillow she was holding. I laughed inside and returned by glance on the TV. I found it amazing how James Wan (the director of this movie) was able to manipulate you into clenching your seat because of how much thriller there is to his films. Though, I wasn’t merely frightened but I fascinated by his films. That was a true fact.
Next day, I woke up on the small mattress on the floor and Jung Ah on the couch still sleeping, but roused few minutes later. We both went downstairs to eat the breakfast that were made for us. This morning consisted of waffles topped with blueberries and freshly cut strawberries, along with a few fruits such as apple, pear and a banana and last but not least, a cup of orange juice.
“Seriously, you have the best breakfasts every morning.” She complimented whilst emphasizing the ‘every.’ When we were done, I did both our dishes whilst she went up to wash up first. I decided to brush my teeth in the second bathroom we have downstairs. Then I occupied myself into packing the mattress and blankets that were in the mini living room upstairs where we slept. Fortunately, Jung Ah didn’t take long showers. I completed my daily morning routine and we headed off to school together with Hyun-Shik driving us as per usual.
