Eight
6162160“Oppa?” I asked the other line.
“I’m picking you up from work.” He said.
“Oh, I’ve got a client near Hongik University. I’m on my way there.”
“I’ll go with you.” He said.
“Are you sure? If that’s the case, then I’ll wait for you in the lobby.”
“Okay. Ten minutes.” I hung up.
I fixed my desk and said goodbye to Sulli, and our other team mates.
Our firm has been running for a month now. And so far, it’s successful. Partly because of mom.
She got me and Sulli lots of clients even before we started the firm.
And I’ve been seeing Kai for more than a month now.
I got my bag and rode the elevator.
I waited for him in the lobby.
It’s almost eight pm, and I still need to visit a client.
I’ve got a hard job as this firm’s head designer.
Ten minutes had passed and I saw him making his way towards the glass door.
His straight hair was slightly messed up, he’s wearing a grey round neck shirt and black pants.
He held a snapback in his hand and wore it before he entered the building.
“Kai,” I called him and walked to him.
I approached him, but he looked past me.
“Yah.” I said. He ignored me.
“Excuse me, have you seen my girlfriend who’s supposed to call me oppa?" He asked me.
Now I get it.
“Have you seen my boyfriend who nags me on calling him oppa?” I asked him.
“No. Seems like my girl isn’t here.” He smirked and turned his back.
“Jerk.” I mumbled. “Oppa, wait.” I said.
He turned around and got my bag from me.
It’s been his routine, carrying my bag for me.
“Oh, my girlfriend is here.” He said and intertwined our fingers.
We headed out.
He opened the car door for me.
When we’re both inside, he started to drive.
“Why did you pick me up?” I asked.
“Practice finished early and I tried the gym near your office.”
We finally found the place.
We went to the condominium’s lobby, and there the client was waiting for us.
She led us to her apartment. And I discussed all the ideas I have for her home’s renovation.
Kai must be used to this. He came with me for about four times already, including this.
After that, we went out to have a late dinner.
“Seems like you’re getting lots of clients already.” Kai said.
“Yeah. Mom did a huge part in making the firm busy.”
“Well, what do you think of my café’s interior?”
“To be honest, it !” I said and laughed.
“Really? Well the designer was cheap though.”
I laughed. “No, it’s alright. But I can do better!”
“You might as well plan for designs.” He said.
“Really?” I smiled.
After dinner, he took me home.
“Good night.” He said and kissed my forehead.
“Good night, oppa.” I said and walked towards the building door.
When I was about to enter my home’s door, my phone beeped.
“486.” A message from Kai.
“What’s 486?” I asked myself.
I called Kai while I was typing our door’s password.
“486?” I asked as soon as he picked up.
“Oppa’s driving.” He chuckled.
I saw my mom watching television.
I walked towards her, with my phone hanging in between my shoulder and my ear.
“Call me when you get home.” I said and hung up.
I kissed my mom, and gave her the box of cupcakes I was holding.
“Umma, Kai wanted me to give you this.”
“Oh. Tell him, thanks.” My mom said.
“Yes. I’ll go change.”
I walked into my room and changed, then I threw my body into my bed.
My phone beeped once again, and I answered Kai’s call.
“So what’s 486?” I asked.
“Think of it.” He said.
“I can’t think right now.”
“Oh, I forgot. You’re too lazy to think. Write Saranghae in hangeul and count each .”
“You want me to write?”
“Just do it Krystal.”
“Okaay.” I said and did as I was told.
“FOUR EIGHT SIX.” I said and I felt my cheeks turn red.
“Now you get it?”
“Wh- why don’t you just use I love you, then?” I asked, stuttering.
“I thought it’ll feel awkward.”
Well, it is awkward.
"Uhh, yeah. Let's stick to 486." I said.
He chuckled. "You should go sleep now. It's late."
"That's right. You should too. Good night, oppa. 486."
"You too. 486."

I feel like the story's getting boring, should I stop writing?
Leave me comments, huh? <3
