THAT GROOMSMAN
THE BLOOD HUNT
CHAPTER 1
That Groomsman
Sulli entered her bedroom and excitedly went to the walk in closet. Her heart is still palpitating…She has escaped the guards downstairs…they did not notice her overly large bag. And she even had to walk through her Uncle’s office and he also did not notice what she brought. That sent a mischievous smile on her lips.
Sulli opened her bag and admired the beautiful porcelain plate.
Too bad she can only keep her items in her walk in closet…she would have preferred putting them in a big room where she can display them all…But of course she can’t…her Uncle will skin her alive if she did that.
Her Uncle has prohibited her from anything historical. It’s because he likes her to study business to help out in the company…The business is too large for only her cousin Victoria to manage.
But her heart is not for business…her heart is for historical arts… She would love to be an archaeologist… But then…she will be disowned by her only remaining relatives if she did that…
Sulli placed the plate in one of her cabinets and then stretched her arm… it was really heavy to carry…
“Hey Sulli, you in there?” asked that familiar voice.
Oh no…she did not lock the door!
Sulli immediately closed her cabinet but Victoria saw the panic in her eyes.
“Can I assume you bought another forbidden item?” asked Victoria
Sulli sighed defeated.
“What is it this time?” asked Vic “After buying a creepy locket last month and that even creepier old knife the other month…what can it be now?”
“You said creepy twice.” Said Sulli
“Because they are creepy…those are old things Sulli…their owners are all dead. What if their ghosts are attached to those things? Aren’t you the least bit afraid?” asked Vic
Sulli shook her head.
“That’s why I don’t go to your room at night...” said Vic
“That’s why I don’t dare invite you over.” Said Sulli
Vic rolled her eyes.
“Oh, by the way…I came here because of this.” Victoria handed the invitation to Sulli.
“Time flies…it’s just a few days left before Luna’s wedding.” Said Sulli
“Right…” said Vic pouting.
“You’re still angry about not being a bridesmaid?” asked Sulli
“I just thought Luna and I were closer than you two!” said Vic “And then suddenly she gets you as a bridesmaid…and me? Just a guest?”
Sulli tried to control her smile.
“How many times do I have to tell you we were roommates when I went to a summer class in her parent’s province?” said Sulli
“And in just one summer, I suddenly was replaced by you as her ultimate cousin.” Said Vic
Sulli nodded.
Vic lightly punched Sulli’s arm.
“That’s for taking away my chance to be a bridesmaid.” Said Vic
Sulli laughed and hugged Vic.
“If I ever get married, I will surely get you…not just as a bridesmaid…but as a maid of honor.” Said Sulli
“I hope you don’t meet someone this summer that can replace me.” Said Vic making Sulli laugh harder.
Sulli pulled away.
“Wait a minute…Didn’t Luna say your partner in the wedding is also single?” asked Vic
“Yeah…she did” said Sulli
“Didn’t she say she’s going to match you with that guy?” asked Vic
“Umm...yeah…but I don’t think we should pay attention to that.” Said Sulli
“You should pay attention, Sulli! It’s a chance!” said Vic “You’ve been single since birth! And we both know Luna’s friends and relatives are also coming from good families…my Dad will certainly not go against it if you ever fall for him.”
Sulli shrugged her shoulders…Vic didn’t have to say it…since the day Luna told her about her wedding partner…she has often wondered if he’s really someone special…someone who she can really like…who can like her back…
“Let’s choose a hairstyle for you, ok?” said Vic enthusiastically. “Let’s make that man fall in love with you.”
