Hi Guys, This is the last chapter  of the Blood hunt. I should have put this into two chapters. This chapter is veryyyy loooong. In my Word doc, this is equivalent to two full chapters. I think I miss estimated myself again. :( But I won't split it anymore. Haha! Call me Lazy. This is the best I could think as an ending. Again thank you so much for everything every one. Thank you for giving me such an awesome time writing here in aff. Both Minsul and the non-minsul story I wrote is worth my time seeing your support.  Thank you so so much! :D

Chapter 42

Demon-Hunter Resolution

Family guards took the monk and Hyuna to the dungeon.

“Resigning?” asked Insung “Who will lead the family if you resign?”

Hye Kyo took a deep breath.

“The best candidate is you Insung.” Said Hye Kyo

Insung shook his head.

“When I did not become the family head a hundred years ago…I accepted that it is not for me.” Said Insung

“In the battle, you led our people. Everyone listened to you. Because you have that kind of leadership ability Insung.” Said Hye Kyo

“Plus, I trust you very much. So it will make my heart be at ease to work with you.” Said Eun Hye

“No…I apologize…But I won’t be the Head of the family. All my life, I have given my life for the family… hunting… fighting battles…after this…I just want to rest for a while.” Said Insung

“Rest? What is your definition of rest?” asked Wonbin

“I want to go to a far away place.” said Insung

Hye Kyo looked at the window. How far is Insung planning to go?

“By the way…Yuri has made a big problem when she awakened Sulli’s blood. The next family Head has to decide her punishment. She is my niece. I will surely be biased to her.” Said Hye Kyo

Everyone nodded.

Hye Kyo went to her room to pack her things. And then she heard a knock.

“Come in.”

Insung entered the room.

“You.” Said Hye Kyo “What are you doing here?”

Insung sat on a chair.

Hye Kyo tilted her head to the right.

“Are you planning on staying in this room? Because me? I’m leaving…I thought you don’t want to be the head? So why are you here?” asked Hye Kyo

Insung smiled.

“I went here for you Hye Kyo.” Said Insung

“Me?” Hye Kyo suddenly felt her heart beating fast.

“I said I want to take a rest right?” said Insung

“Umm…Yes.” Said Hye Kyo

“I wasn’t planning on going by myself.” Said insung

Hye Kyo almost dropped the bag she’s holding.

“I was planning to take you with me…” said Insung “If you…will come with me.”

Hye Kyo’s eyes widened.

Insung walked towards Hye Kyo.

“I have…caused you too much pain Hye Kyo.” Said Insung “Words would not suffice to apologize.”

“You did everything to protect Tae Hee and Minho.” Said Hye Kyo

“But I hurt you by choosing them.” Said Insung

Hye Kyo fought her tears but the tears still fell.

Insung lifted hye Kyo’s face to look at him.

“I’m sorry… I prioritized what I thought was good for the family…for the people that matters to me…even to you…but I was wrong…I protected Tae hee and Minho…I tried to protect the Family…and yet…it was you that I have hurt the most.” Said Insung “And each time I hurt you…I hurt myself too.”

Hye Kyo sobbed hard.

“I just want to spend whatever is left in my life with you…I just want to fill my remaining days with you…and replace the days of pain with days of joy.” Said Insung “No matter what happened…I have never stopped loving you.”

Hye Kyo wiped her tears.

“Can we still…do that?” asked Hye Kyo “We are…old…so old…can we still…be lovers?” asked Hye Kyo

“Nothing can stop love Hye Kyo… neither time nor age can stop love.” Said Insung

Hye Kyo nodded.

“Then I’ll go with you.” Said Hye Kyo

Insung embraced Hye Kyo tightly.

Hye Kyo sobbed harder.

Minho entered the demon clan’s home…It is just so cool…like entering a time travel portal. After passing through the tall trees that served as gates, he was led to an area that looked like old Japan….it has old temple looking buidlings…

“Wow…” said Minho

“Yeah, I just realized how beautiful it is now.” Said Sulli

The flowers were also in bloom…

“How did the demon clan hide this?” said Minho “I mean…how can such a beautiful place stay hidden?”

Sulli smiled. “It takes demon eyes to see this.”

Suzy saw them coming.

“They’re here Madame.” Said Suzy

Eun Hye was excited. It’s been two weeks since the battle and it is Sulli’s and Minho’s homecoming of sorts.

Minho and Sulli entered the main House.

“Welcome my dears!” Eun Hye hugged Sulli. “My dear daughter.”

Eun Hye then looked at Minho “And the son I didn’t have.” Said Eun Hye hugging Minho.

Minho felt something moved in his heart at the sound of that. It’s like he suddenly felt his eyes burning…threatening to make tears fall.

Sulli saw that and couldn’t help the tightening in her chest.

Minho…had lost both his parents. In the midst of her happiness finding out that her parents are alive…Minho must’ve been suffering.

Sulli squeezed Minho’s hand as she looked at Minho, her eyes showing unshed tears. Minho just smiled faintly.

Eun Hye saw how tender that moment was….These two…are no longer kids. They already know how to share joys and burdens.

“Come with me Minho. There is something I want to show you. Let’s leave Sulli here so that she can have a reunion with the demons.” Said Eun Hye

Eun Hye entered a room with Minho in the far end of the Demon clan home.

“What is this room? And why did you want me to come here alone?” asked Minho

The room is still clean…but it looks old.

“I had this cleaned yesterday….but then…it has not been stayed at for a very long time…I’m even surprised this is still existing.” Said Eun Hye “This was your father’s room. I heard Seung Hun and Tae Hee shared this room before.”

Minho felt his heart beating fast…this room was his father’s…and this was where his Mother and Father shared their love.

“I personally made sure this room was maintained before I got pregnant with Sulli… I still thank Elder Ga-in that she did not demolish this.” Said Eun Hye

“It’s…a nice room.” Said Minho “It feels…cozy.”

“Cozy…that’s the exact word I can use for your father.” Said Eun Hye “He looks all brusque, manly and arrogant outside…but he’s as cuddly as a bear inside.”

Minho nodded. So his father is…like that.

“In my short talks with him in the past…Before he fought for his principles, I learned he has a frustration on pumpkins. He loves them when he was still human…but when his blood awakened…he couldn’t seem to eat it anymore.” Said Eun Hye

“Pumpkin…” said Minho “I love pumpkin soup.”

Eun Hye smiled then. “Like father like son.”

Minho couldn’t help but smile back.

“Good thing you are only half demon…You can still enjoy your pumpkin soup.” Said Eun Hye.

Minho nodded.

Eun Hye went to Minho and gave him pieces of folded  parchments.

“When your father died,  I kept everything that the other demons might find interesting. When I looked over them…I saw these.” said Eun Hye

“What are these?” asked Minho

“Letters…From your father to your mother.” Said Eun Hye

Love letters?

“You will be surprised that their relationship had started far from romantic.” Said Eun Hye “I read the first one…I apologize…I initially thought it was a threat letter from how it sounded. Your Dad…wasn’t keen on using the right words to express his feelings. ”

Minho shook his head.

“No…without you I wouldn’t have these. So please don’t apologize” Said Minho “Actually…I am the one who needs to apologize to you. I blamed you for my mother’s death.”

Eun Hye nodded. “Apology accepted. It ‘s just a misunderstanding Minho. I totally understand.”

Eun Hye looked at the letters on Minho’s hand.

“I heard that your father protected your mother so much while she was here. He would send letters to her when he was away.” Said Eun Hye “This room…I will give this to you Minho. As Seung Hun’s son…you deserve to have this. Just tell me if you need some modernization or changes to soothe your taste-”

“It’s all right…I like it the way it is…This is the place I feel them the most…my parents.” Said Minho “Thank you. I will accept this.”

“It was yours to begin with.” Said Eun Hye

Minho touched the wooden table…his father used to write here.

“I will leave you now so that you can explore the room.” Said Eun Hye

Minho nodded.

“And oh.” Said Eun Hye when she was by the door. “If it comes to Tae Hee, I know the hunters would give you a better answer as to what kind of person she is.”

Minho narrowed his eyes.

“But when it comes to Seung Hun, I know his people. So I will be the best person to answer should you have questions.” Said Eun Hye “That is why you should not hesitate if you wish to know something about your father…Besides…I mean it when I said you are like my son. When I saw how much you were willing to die with my daughter,  I knew then that you became my son.” Eun Hye touched her heart. “Here”.

Minho nodded and smiled.

Eun Hye closed the door behind her.

It was then that Minho sank to the ground…the tears that fell could no longer be held back. It was a mixture of longing…for the parents he lost…and happiness…for the people around him that gives him love.

Minho and Sulli sat in front of each other as they  enjoyed a cup of coffee.

“Umm…this is my first  coffee after my blood awakened.” Said Sulli “I don’t know I can still enjoy it without a tint of blood.”

“I’ll teach you a lot of  things you can still enjoy despite being half blood.” Said Minho

“You need to gather strength Sulli. The training to be a hunter will not be easy. What you experienced in Wonbin’s sword fighting is just the tip of the iceberg.”

“I know…Taecyeon also trained me like he’s trying to kill me…and he told me that was just the beginning.” Said Sulli

Minho took a small can out of his bag. He opened it and gave Sulli a cookie.

“This?” asked Sulli

“Yes, try it.” Said Minho

Sulli took a bite.

“Mmmm….Yummy!” said Sulli

And then suddenly…Sulli started crying.

“Hey…what’s the matter?” asked Minho

“I just…missed Vic and Uncle…Vic loves baking…she often bakes cookies for me.” Said Sulli

Minho wiped Sulli’s tears.

“Do you want to visit them?” asked Minho

“They will be frightened.” Said Sulli

“It’s worth the try Sulli.” Said
