CHAPTER 26
HEECHUL'S ARGUMENT

Heechul went to the island where the office of the head is located.

The mission is to know what happened to Insung. No. The mission is to find where the head has detained Insung. And then set him free.

Insung will not be happy with the mission Heechul gave himself. insung is an upright man. He will surely not want an escape plan.

But time is of the essence. And a formal way of convincing the head to free Insung is just not the best option right now.

Heechul wore a hat as he entered the old house that is the disguise of the their family headquarters.

He went through the normal way to get in saying that he would like to apply for a mission.

Once he was inside, he fell in line just like the others.

"How come you're here when a mission was sent by the head?" asked one of the hunters in the line
"I thought she only sent it to me. And then I learned she sent it to everybody. That is why I did not even try to look for that Sulli Demon." said the other
"Why not?" asked the first hunter
"If the branches received the same message, there is no way an ordinary hunter like us could hunt that demon." said the second hunter
"That is true."

Heechul slipped through the lines until he saw an open door. Just his luck, it's the door that leads to the lower floors of the headquarters. The Dungeon is in the lowest underground floor. This is his chance.

Heehcul went through the small opening with ease. He ran throught the stairs as quickly as he can. When there were moments when he heard footsteps, he immediately hides behind posts. He did this until he reached the lowest floor.

Dungeons are really creepy. It's screaming at you that it is not the place to be.

Heechul tried to ignore his goosebump as he walked the narrow hallways and slipped throught the dark.
"Insung...are you here?" whispered Heechul

The dungeon is big. Of course Insung won't just hear him.
Heechul took a deep breath. This won't be easy.
He tried to think.
Where could the head put Insung?
And then Heechul heard footsteps. He immediately slip in between two cells and hid in the dark.

The people who came to the dungeon had torches with them. Good thing they did not see Heechul when they passed him.
"Wait, Are you sure? There is an elite now here?" asked a woman's voice
"Yes, and not just any of the Elites. I heard it's Insung." said the second woman
"No Way! Insung, you mean the Great Insung?" asked the first woman
"Yes, and hush, don't be too loud." said the second woman
"Wait so where is he? I want to take a peak. I have never seen him." said the first woman
"Hmm...I heard he's in the room next to the head's." said the second woman
"Oh, I thought he's in here."
"Do you think Insung doesn't deserve a special treatment? I don't even get why the head will detain him. I mean, Insung's concern and contribution to the family is too big for him to be locked up." said the second woman
"I agree. Why would the head detain him. I feel bad for Sir Insung."

Heechul doesn't know if he's lucky or not. Lucky to know where Insung is without torturing anybody...but not so lucky to know that Insung is locked in the room just next to the head's office.

"I should've just looked for Sulli." said Heechul

Minho went back to the place he last saw Sulli in the forest. He closed his eyes as he tried to alert his senses. Even after 3 days he can still smell a faint demon smell around. But it's so faint...can he track it? The best way is to track Sulli's smell.

And then he heard wind blowing strongly from the east. It seems they have visitors. He already expected this since the hunters will all try to kill Sulli. But he was hoping he didn't need to face any of them.

Minho immediately left his position. If the hunters saw him there, they would definitely think he has a lead on where Sulli is. He has to go somewhere else.

Minho saw a clearing and went down there. He looked around and tried to detect where the visitors are. They're very close.
Minho felt movements behind him.

"Minho." greeted a woman who appeared from the trees. She's wearing a black robe and lowered it so that Minho sees her face.
"Hyuna." said Minho
"How are you?" Hyuna went to Minho kissing his cheek. "Did you miss me?"
Minho took a deep breath. "How many demons did you kill on your way here?" asked Minho "You're reeking of demon smell."
Hyuna laughed. "I tried to clear my way. I hate it when  a demon blocks it."  
Minho looked around. Key and Kris are there.
"You seem to be missing a member." said Minho
"Yeah, it's an unfortunate lost." said Hyuna "We lost her to a demon who got away."
"Got away?" Minho laughed "I thought no demon can ever slipped through you?"
Hyuna smiled "Well I wasn't there when she fought the demon. So technically, my record is still not tarnished by her carelessness."
Hyuna is really a cold hunter. She will do everything to be known as the best hunter in the family.
"Do you have news if the monk branch is going to join the family reunion?" asked Minho
Hyuna laughed again. "Family reunion? Right, this indeed seems to be a family reunion. But the monk and I have long severed our ties."

Hyuna is not part of the Elite. New hunters will wonder how come she has her own branch.  As a young hunter, she's been an achiever. She was a genius hunter. And everyone thought that the reason why she was that good was because her teacher, the monk, was a really good. But Hyuna did not like that. She can't bear knowing that credit goes to her teacher instead of her. So she created her own branch to prove that her genius is not because of the monk, but herself.

For hundreds of years now, nobody has ever doubted her strength. She's a demon destruction machine.

 "I wonder why the head asked all the branches to hunt that demon...when she's under your territory." said Hyuna "Did you fail to capture her?"
"Do you think I'd ever fail caturing a demon?" asked Minho
Hyuna smirked.
"Your branch are too faint hearted. The head said the demon is newly awakened. So it is possible that you let her go while her blood is still sleeping. Now she's causing trouble. That is why I am totally against Insung's principle. I think he's putting this world into too much danger by just waiting for the demon's blood to be awakened." said Hyuna
Hyuna touched Minho's arm.
"That is why if you are with me...I am going to make sure this world is safe for all humans. we are going to hunt each and every demon out there...awakened or not." said Hyuna

Minho took a few steps away from Hyuna.
"This is still our territory Hyuna. Even if the head gave that order, Insung's branch will still make sure we find the demon. This is not something you should put your hands on." said Minho
