CHAPTER 22

YURI’S MOVE

Wonbin entered the Antique shop.

“You really should change your living strategy. You can be farmers next time…or doctors…or lawyers.” Said Wonbin “You keep being Antique shop owners!”

“Nobody asked you to stop being a mountain hermit.” Said Insung as he entered the shop. “Besides, I see nothing wrong with our small business.”

Wonbin sat down closing his eyes.

Minho entered the shop. And then Wonbin partially opened his eyes.

“Make it a gentle break up with her. She can’t have any emotional instability.” Said Wonbin

“I can’t do that. I will not break up with her… I will not do anything to hurt her.” Said Minho

Insung closed his eyes. This has been going on for the past hour.

“Just follow what I said. Break up with her Minho. Don’t make me make you.” Said Wonbin

“Minho’s breaking up with whom?” asked a woman’s voice entering the shop from inside the house.

“Yuri.” Said Insung. She’s followed by Heechul.

“Hey Guys, you’re back.” Said Heechul

“So whom is Minho breaking up with?” asked Yuri

Wonbin then looked at Insung

“Is it with that demon girl?” asked Yuri making Wonbin’s brow rise.

Yuri walked towards Minho and touched his arm.

“Did you finally do what Aunt asked for you to do? I thought Aunt said you don’t like the idea?” asked Yuri

“What did Hye Kyo asked him to do?” asked Wonbin

“Aunt asked Minho to make the demon girl fall in love with him…so that we can control her emotions.” Said Yuri

Wonbin stood up from his seat violently.

“You…” Wonbin is close to shouting.

“I did not get close to her because of what the Head ordered. I went to her because I can’t keep myself from…being far from her.” Said Minho

Yuri dropped her hand. Wonbin grabbed Minho’s collar.

“And who do you think will believe you?” asked Wonbin

“I do.” Said Heechul “I am the best witness that Minho tried his best to push Sulli away...” said Heechul feeling that sudden pain in his chest.

“Why didn’t you tell me about this, Minho?” asked Insung

“The head didn’t want you to know.” Said Yuri looking so distraught.

“Still you should have told me. You shouldn’t take orders from her without letting me know.” Said Insung

“I told her that I will not follow her order. That is why I did not tell you. I have no plan of carrying out her plan.” Said Minho

Wonbin walked towards the door.

“Insung, I think I need a drink, I don’t think I can tolerate this anymore.” Said Wonbin

“Heechul, follow us, take the vase with you.” Said Insung

Both the Elites left the shop.

“All righty.” Heechul went inside to get the vase and then followed Insung and Wonbin out.

Yuri took a deep breath.

“Sulli…the demon girl…you and her…are together now?” asked Yuri

Minho nodded.

“And it’s not because you want to prevent her blood from awakening?” Yuri felt like her heart is being grinded.

“No…It’s not.”

“Then why?” asked Yuri her voice soft…close to fading.

“I…like her…” said Minho

“You just met her…it has not been long…it’s only been months…And…” Yuri took a deep breath…tears threatening to fall. “She’s a demon. A demon, Minho. A hunter falling in love with a demon… That is unheard of…they are…foul…so foul that you just want to kill them to eliminate them…they’re uncontrolled…evil creatures who feeds on humans!” Yuri said

But Minho was just silent all the while.

“I love her.” Said Minho

No…No…this can’t be…Not with a Demon…Not Minho…

“Once her blood is awakened…you will change your mind about her…surely…once you smell how foul she is…you’ll regret this.” Said Yuri

“Do not underestimate the way I feel for her Yuri.” Said Minho

Minho turned to leave but Yuri grabbed his arm.

“But why…you have known me for centuries…why can’t it be me? Is it because I am too involved in the family politics? You said you don’t like politics…is it because of Sir Insung and Aunt’s past…” Yuri’s tears are starting to flow.

“I always feel bad that I can’t return your feelings Yuri…for centuries I tried to tell you that it’s not going to work between you and me…It never worked with anyone…I guess the reason why it never did…was because the one I’m fated to love has not been born yet…and now that she’s alive…I just can’t stay away from her.” Said Minho

No…no…

Minho pulled Yuri’s hand away from his arm.

“It was never about the family politics…never about Insung and the head…it was because of how I feel…Yuri…when my mother died…you helped me a lot…I mean…I can’t even explain in words how much I owe you… I see you as a sister…someone I can rely on…someone I care about…I hope you could treat me like a brother…so that you won’t be hurt anymore.” Said Minho

And then Minho left.

Yuri fell to the ground.

A…brother…

No…No….Not a brother…Never…
