RELIABLE SUZY

Chanyeol knelt in front of Ji Hyun and Elder Ga-in.

“You caused Gyuri to be injured almost losing her life.” Said Ji Hyun 

“And the ruler went missing right after that.” Said Ga-in

“The elder was last seen with you and Taemin. Now Taemin is also gone missing.” Said Ji Hyun

Chanyeol kept silent the entire time.

“You are one of the most loyal Demon in this family, Chanyeol.” Said Elder Ga-in. “You know very well why we need the ruler. So tell us what happened.”

“We went to hunt. But Gyuri blocked our way.” Said Chanyeol “She was persistent. So I let Taemin and Sulli go ahead first. I just learned they haven’t gotten back when I went here.”

“There was a very high number of hunters last night roaming the forest. It was dangerous letting her go hunting.” Said Ji Hyun “It seems the hunters have learned that our clan still exists. ”

“They might be looking for Sulli. If Sulli went out with only Taemin with her…we can’t say what could’ve happened to them.” Said Elder Ga-in

Chanyeol felt his blood drained from him…how can he be so stupid as to let Sulli go out on that dangerous night?

“Lock him up.” Said Ji Hyun.

Chanyeol’s eyes widened. Some demons went to Chanyeol and tied him.

“Lady Ji Hyun…”

“I know you know more than what you’re saying.” Said Ji Hyun “And until you say everything, we’ll keep you in the dungeon.”

Naeun is putting blessed water on Hyuna’s wounds when Key and Kris came in. They just gotten their wounds treated.

“If Insung and Wonbin are working together…isn’t it possible that the monk is with them too? The three of them are Elites right?” Said Key

Hyuna smirked.

“That’s never going to happen.” Said Hyuna “Insung and Wonbin will never work with the monk.”

“Why is that?” asked Naeun “They’re all elites.”

“Insung’s wife was also in the Elite group before.” Said Hyuna

“Tae Hee?” asked Kris “Minho’s mother?”

“Is she the reason why Insung and Wonbin won’t work with the monk?” asked Key

“Yes.” Hyuna stretched her arm “One day the female ruler of a very strong demon clan went to Insung’s house.” Said Hyuna

Female Ruler of a demon clan? Naeun almost dropped the bottle of blessed water she was holding. Can it be possible that Hyuna is talking about the same clan that captured her? They call Sulli their ruler… but it seems Sulli is just a new demon…Who then is the female ruler Hyuna is referring to?

“ During that time, Tae Hee was the only one home since Insung was then training Minho and Heechul.” Said Hyuna “I was still under the monk then. We found the demon. The demon took Tae Hee and used her as a shield against our attacks.”

Hyuna nudged at Naeun.

“Hey why are you stopping?” asked Hyuna

“The clan…I didn’t know there can be demon clans.” Said Naeun

“It was a clan of demons who can hide their scents… their rulers are normally the gifted ones…ones that could release fragrant scents.” Said Hyuna

Fragrant…Naeun has already seen Sulli in her demon form…and she smelt like flowers…

“From what I learned…it’s hereditary.” Said Hyuna

Naeun gripped the bottle.

Hereditary….does that mean…the female ruler could be Sulli’s mother?

Naeun continued treating Hyuna’s wounds.

“So what happened? The monk surely ordered for you all to stop attacking the demon since she was using Tae Hee as shield.” Said Key

“No.” said Hyuna “The monk ordered us to continue. She said that Tae Hee was a necessary sacrifice. The Demon will kill more people, so we need to attack her once we had the chance…even if Tae Hee was in the way.”

“No way…” said Kris “So the one that killed Tae Hee was…the monk branch?”

“No.” said Hyuna “The one that killed Tae Hee was the female ruler of that demon clan. She used Tae Hee as a hostage…as a human shield. She knows we were attacking she knows we were hunting her and we will not stop. She killed Tae Hee…it’s just that Insung and Wonbin thinks that the monk should have stopped the attack that time.”

Naeun tried to put piece and piece together… If the female demon ruler was Sulli’s Mother…then Sulli’s mother might’ve killed Minho’s mother.

“They blame half of the fault to the monk for Tae Hee’s death. That is why…Insung and Wonbin will never ever work with the monk. That I am absolutely sure.” Said Hyuna

“This is so small.” Said Taec

“So whose is this house?” asked Heechul

“It’s from one of our avid customer in the antique shop. I once told her that our house is too small for the three of us. She told me I can borrow this place anytime.” Said Insung

“You’re a dirty old man.” Said Heechul

“I didn’t trick her to it. She offered.” Said Insung

“This is very small though.” Said Heechul

“We’ll only stay here for tonight. We need to leave soon.” Said Insung “From now on. We can’t stay in one place for a long time.”

And then the door opened again. Minho, Sulli and Wonbin entered. Minho was still carrying Sulli on his back.

“She looks exhausted.” Said Heechul

“She’s the demon?” asked Taecyeon

“So it’s true then…she doesn’t smell like a demon.” Said Uee

“Take her to the room.” Said Insung “We’ll check for injuries.”
