You accidentally dropped the bottle you’re holding. When it collided with the cold floor, Kyuhyun stood up immediately and turned the lights on.

“are you ok?” he asked worriedly.

You’re flying away. Your soul is not with you.

“yah, are you hurt?” kyuhyun asked again and you’re not answering.

Kyuhyun picked up the pieces of broken glass. You were pulled back to reality when you heard kyuhyun winced.

You turned your attention to him and saw his hand bleeding. “OMG what are you doing?!” you said and bent down to look closer to his bleeding hand.

“I’m trying to clean up the mess you made!” kyuhyun replied still picking the shattered bottle.

“let me do it. Go wash your hand.” You ordered and kyuhyun paused for a while then followed what you ordered.

Seems like your soul went flying away again. You just kept on picking when kyuhyun went to the kitchen to wash his bleeding hand. You’re looking at the white tile of the living room while picking when suddenly you saw blood flowing on your way.

Your soul went back to your body and your eyes went wide open. Then you looked at your palm. You’re bleeding. “why didn’t I feel that I was already hurt?” you asked while looking at your palm. Since you’re already hurt, you continued to pick up the remaining glass parts and stood up leaving the blood stains on the white floor.

You saw kyuhyun applying some medicine on his wound. “go to sleep when you’re done. I’ll clean those things.” You said and made your way to the sink.

When kyuhyun was done, he left you on the kitchen and made his way upstairs but the amount of blood on the living room caught his attention. “Did I bleed that much? I only cut my--- _____!!”  you heard kyuhyun and you immediately run.

“what? What happened? Are you hurt? Where? Should I take you to the hospital? Tell me!” you said, panic written all over your face.

Kyuhyun looked at you straight in the eyes. Your pupil met his brown orbs.

“let me see your hand.” He demands.

The panic increased and you hid your hands at your back. “and why?” you asked hoping that he’ll get irritated or something.

“just let me see!” kyuhyun became furious.

You jolted at his sudden attitude. He’s drunk, then he became serious, then now he’s mad. This dude!

When you’re not letting your hands be seen, kyuhyun grabbed your arm.

Blood flowing like tears. “careless 5-year old kid.” Kyuhyun said and he dragged you to the kitchen area. He took out a stool for you to sit and pulled out the first aid kit.

“you should be more careful because I might not able to do this again.” Kyuhyun said as he applied the medication on your bleeding hand.

Something inside you was hurt. You don’t know where. You know for the fact that you shouldn’t be feeling this way. You’ve been best friends with kyuhyun for 5 years now. You should have prepared yourself for things like this.

“are you listening?” kyuhyun asked washing away your train of thoughts.

“what did you just said?” you asked bluntly.

Kyuhyun chuckled. “why are you so out of yourself? Are you upset that I’m getting married already?” you didn’t saw that coming your way. When you heard that, you already knew where the hurt is coming from.

You rolled your eyes. “stop dreaming. You’re already getting married.” You replied trying to hide the hurt you’re feeling.

You know that you're hurt not from the wounds you got but from the fact that your best friend is getting married.

 “are you happy about me getting married?” he asked again and the pain was unbearable.

“of course! Finally I’ll be able to live my life free! Wee!” you said trying to put that smile on your face though the pain is increasing every second.

Kyuhyun sighed. “seems like I’m the only one who’s not happy about that marriage.” Kyuhyun said bitterly.

“eh?! You’re being forced?!” the hope inside your body lit up.

Kyuhyun nodded. “with Sena.” You didn’t expect that he’s being forced to marry someone but what’s more surprising is he’s going to marry Sena.

“what’s wrong with Sena? She’s kind.” You blurted out then realized what you said.

Kyuhyun looked at you with suspicion in his eyes. “I never knew that my best friend is also a friend of Sena-ssi.”

Panic washed your face. Think faster!! Your mind screamed.

“I…. I met her before. We had a little talk. That’s all.” You lied. Trying to convince kyuhyun with that answer of yours.

“_____ remember the gift that you gave me on my 24^th birthday?” kyuhyun asked changing the topic. You sighed in relief when you heard that.

You nodded wondering why did he brought that again. The last time he talked about that, you guys ended up fighting.

“Promise me that whatever I’ll say you’ll agree.” Kyuhyun said in a serious tone. Curiosity building up on you.

You nodded again. “please say it already.” You said getting impatient with his beating around the bush manner.

“I need to court you.” Kyuhyun blurted out and looked at your eyes met his.
