Crappy Day

Babysitting A Badass Gangster

“Myra left? Really? Really really?!” Dara yelled and Bom covered her ears, seriously, can you say rude? How can anyone doubt this queen’s information?

“Yes, Seunghyun told me himself.”

“Seunghyun? You’re that close already?” Bom blushed, yes you heard right she b-l-u-s-h-e-d blushed!

“Omo, omo omo. Did you just blushed?” Dara squealed and nudge her best friend.

“Well, of course I should call him that, he’s my boyfriend after all. I can’t go around calling him giant this giant that.” Bom waved it away but was obviously very pleased.

Dara chuckled. Putting that aside, she was in the mood to celebrate. She knew it was very rude but she couldn’t help but feel over cloud nine that Myra had left, and what’s more, she was engaged!

“Come on guys, I’ll treat you today so let’s go out and eat.”

Everyone jumped at the opportunity for the free dinner. “Actually, I have something to do.” Chaerin reminded herself and excused herself from the eat out session, which means something is up because she loves it when she doesn’t have to pay for foods.

“With what?”

“Um.” She squirmed uncomfortably under the gazes of the girls. “Seungri invited me out today and I already said yes, so.”

“YOU WHAT?!” They chorused. “You’re not even addressing him as the rat anymore!”

“You guys already know I like him! There’s no way I could’ve said no.”

“We’re not saying anything.” Bom eyes glinted with mischief. “But are you seriously going out on a date with those outdate sweat shirt and jeans?” She scanned Chaerin from head to toe.

“It’s not a date.” Chaerin started to deny. “Why? What’s wrong with it?”

Aigoo, our Chaerin, if you say that while looking so cute, your noonas will not let you off.

Dara and Bom approached her, their hands out with evil emitting from their eyes. Chaerin backed off with uncertainty.

“There, we’re done! Now you can go.” Bom backed off proudly with make-up brushes in between her fingers while Dara kicks the dirty clothes away with her foot.

“I am so not sure about this.” Chaerin looked herself back and forth in the mirror and was very insecured.

“Girl, do not doubt my skill because you look gorgeous! Now say cheese.” Bom said and simultaneously took a picture.

“Ok, now all you have to do is wait for your casanova in a white Audi to pick you up. We’ll be heading out to eat with Minzy.”

“Actually,” a small voice appears at the door. “I have something to do as well.” Minzy fidgeted and blushed furiously.

“Ok, what is it now?”

“Um, Daesung oppa invited me out to tour around the zoo.”

Dara couldn’t help but think that somehow Jiyong had known she was in a celebration mood and sent all these people out to take her friends away, just to make her angry. Absurd right?

“Ok, ok. Now go sit so we can give you a makeover as well.”

“At least you’re not busy dating Seunghyun today.” Dara smiled while walking happily with Bom to a famous ddubbokki store a few blocks down the streets.

“Well, he said he was busy with something when I tried to talk him into treating me to a luxurious massage at that fancy Golden Hotel.”

Dara faked a frown. “So you were planning on ditching me.” Bom smiled and nodded. “Totally.”

Dara slapped her arm playfully and the two entered the store.

"Too bad Ah Young unnie couldn't join us. She loves ddubbokki."

*I'm glad she's busy elsewhere.* The other three thought.

-----

“Woah.” Seungri gulped as Chaerin walked down from the apartment. For the first time, she wasn’t wearing jeans or leather jackets or plain T-shirts. But instead, she was wearing shorts, not those shorts that makes you look ty, and it only goes up to mid-thigh, but boys did they make him drool over her legs.

And she was wearing a light blue blouse that saw through to her dark blue tank top underneath. Her hairs was tied up in a cute ponytail and he can tell her make-up was done well this morning. She walked down to him and he noticed she wasn’t wearing heels but sneakers (please Bom and Dara tried but this girl would die before wearing those “killer heels”).

“At least I know she’s still my Chaerin.” Seungri whispered under his breath. But the thing is, as much as he loved this outfit, he hated it as well.

*Dammit.* He growled as he caught some guys checking Chaerin out and whistling, she of course didn’t think they meant it towards her.

“So, ready to go?”

“Yeah.” Seungri got into the car without a glance back and didn’t caught the disappointed look on Chaerin’s face. *He didn’t even compliment me.*

She opened the car for herself and buckled in the seat belt. Throughout the ride, Chaerin caught Seungri looking at her and turning away with a scowl on his face. She felt self-conscious suddenly and played with the hem of her blouse.

“Woah, we’re eating at Golden Hotel?”

Seungri nodded and briskly walked to confirm their reservation. He glanced back and saw the male customers, and even the workers, looking at Chaerin from head to toe and didn’t even bother to be conscious about it.

He walked back and pulled Chaerin into their seats and she didn’t know what was bothering him. They ordered in silence and ate in silence. Chaerin would occasionally took a peek at Seungri and he looked furious, muttering what seems to be curses. She sighed.

A call came and Seungri picked it up. He stood up suddenly placed the bills on the table. “Just pay when you finish eating.”

“Where are you going?”

“I have stuff to do.” Seungri was about to dash out when he halted and looked back. Chaerin was hoping, so hoping that he changed his mind and was going to stay.

“Next time, don’t dress like that, it’s annoying.”

And there it was, the last straw. Chaerin heart broke, and for something that has never been broken before, the pain was new and fresh, and painful as hell.

She continued to eat in silence and after finishing her meals, walked home, not minding how far it was.
When she reached the house, she found Dara, Bom, and Minzy on the floor. Dara saying something like “It can’t be.”

When they noticed her, they invited Chaerin into their circle. “What's wrong Dara? Why are you crying?”

“Jiyong” Dara said between sobs, “Jiyong...he.”

“Dara, just say it already! Look, I have a hell of a crappy day too.” Chaerin yelled, she couldn’t hold it in anymore. “You bother dressing me all up and that jerk wouldn’t even compliment me. He left me alone in the hotel after saying that me dressing like is annoying!”

Chaerin cried, and Chaerin had never cried after they escaped from the orphanage.

“Jiyong is the bastard that killed my parents, ok?! I saw it, I saw a freaking dragon tattoo on his shoulder!”

Dara yelled and broke down as well, crying even louder. Bom and Minzy hugged their friends and couldn’t help the sentimental tears that followed.

*Out of all people, why must it be you?*
