“I don’t want to go to bed~!” Wooyoung whined as Jaejoong carried him into his bedroom. “It’s passed your bedtime. You need to get your sleep so you can grow big and healthy.” Jaejoong explained to his grandson. “But I’m not tired~.” The 5-year old whined trying to break out of his hold. Jaejoong only shook his head, managing to keep the young child in his arms.

He walked to the far end of the room and placed the little boy onto the bed. As soon as his head hit the pillow, he was fast asleep. Jaejoong chuckled to himself before tucking the blanket over the young prince. He then walked to the other side of the bedroom where his granddaughter had already climbed herself onto the bed. “Joongie.” She said as her grandfather tucked her in. “Yes, JaeEun?” Jaejoong Knew what was coming next.

“Can you tell me a bedtime story?” The 5-year-old asked sweetly. “Sure. What story do you want to hear?” Jaejoong smiled, unable to turn his sweet flower down. “Can you tell me the story of how you and Halabeoji met?” She asked.

Jaejoong paused.

He didn’t expect such question.

“Why do you want to know that?” He asked curiously.

“Because, Halabeoji loves you a lot. He even gets jealous when you give us more attention than him.” JaeEun whispered the last part. Jaejoong chuckled at this, “It’s a long and complicated story. I’ll tell you about it when you’re a little bit older.” He promised.

The princess pouted at this. “That’s what Papa said when I asked him how he and Appa met.”

“You’ll understand when you get older.” Jaejoong told her. “But I understand now.” She pouted. “Good night JaeEunie.” Jaejoong leaned down and kissed her forehead. “Good Night.” The 5-year-old pressed a kiss on his cheek before snuggling comfortably under the blanket.

Jaejoong blew out the candles and took one last glance at his two grandchildren. He smiled to himself. Never had he imagined his life would turn out like this. Nor had he imagined the difficult path that he had to go through to reach this point. It was a long and hard path. It was a journey that seemed to have no hope of a happy ending. A journey full of sorrow, regret, and pain that seemed to never end once it was started.

Hello Everyone! I'm back with another story! I'm sorry it took so long but it's finally here! I'll be posting the first chapter next Wednesday and will post one chapter every Wednesday instead of my usual two. Unfortunately I'm kind of busy so it's hard to post two chapters a week. Hopefully I can do two in the future. This is a Prequel to The Third Snow Prince (A DaeJae Story). I really enjoyed writing YunJae's part in the story and decided to write about how they met. You don't need to read the story in order to understand what's going on, since it's a prequel, but if you want to see what happens once the story is finish please feel free to read it. I can't wait for the updates. Please feel free to comment on what you think and things that I need to work on.I want to improve my writing so I'm open to constructive criticism. :)

P.S. This story will be in the same format as The Third Snow Prince, it will be in first person point of view instead of third person.

P.S.S. This is my first full YunJae chaptered story. I've always loved reading YunJae fics and they were always written amazingly well! So I hope I can at least do YunJae justice with this story. Fingers crossed.
