Foreword
“Umma.” I said, climbing down from the couch, sitting down on the ground, a foot across from her. “Yes Youngjae?” “Am I going to be here…alone? Forever?”
She stopped what she was doing and looked at me, her eye slightly wide. “What do you mean Youngjae?” She asked, concern in her voice. I fiddled with my hands a little. I didn’t want to make her worry, but it’s been a question that’s been stuck with me for the past few years now.
“When Hyungseung and Kikwang turned 18 Appa and Queen Jang pushed them to start looking for a significant other and they also set up different dates with other princes and princesses and nobles. But…they haven’t done any of that at all with me and I’m 22 now. They haven’t even mentioned it. When I try to ask appa about it, he ignores me and changes the subject. They’re even slowly starting to introduce YeEun to noble heirs and a few princes and princess.” I explained.
“So, am I meant to be alone? Because of the curse?”
My mother sighed, “I figured this would happen.” She said more to herself. I looked at her, listening intently.
“Marriage in royal families are more like business deals and no one knows that you’re sick. So, if they were to marry you off…and something were to happen. Or they were to find out about your condition then it would be found as an insult and a dispute would break out…” She began.
‘And they don’t know when I’m going to die,’ I thought to myself. I didn’t dare to say it, not wanting to upset her.
“…and it’s too dangerous to send you outside to another kingdom.” She finished.
“So, I am going to be alone.” I concluded.

Hi guys! :) I'm back with another story! I'll be adding more tags later on throughout the story, it just depends on how the story goes. I am not sure whether or not to make this rated M, there will be ual references throughout the story but nothing too detailed lol, there are cuss words in it as well. And maybe some Mpreg, but we'll see (I'll add that tag if I do decide to take that route). I hope you guys enjoy the story!
