"Can you teach me how to cook eggs?"

I nearly dropped the plate in front of him and luckily, I woke up to reality.

"O-of course." I stuttered. Hearing these words from Mark is really surprising. I never imagined him saying these things to me most especially when it comes to cooking.

"Then tell me how you do it." He said and I led him straight to the stove.

"First, you need to put cooking oil in the frying pan." I started while doing the things that I'm saying. "Then, heat it up for 1 minute. After that, crack one egg on the frying pan. Make sure that no shell will join the egg." I looked at the boy and he looks so eager to learn.

"Is that it?" Mark asked me and I nodded. "You need to wait for 3-5 minutes until it's done.

"It looks so easy.. but when you do it, it's actually difficult." Mark said and the hint of sadness covered the entire kitchen.

"Is there anything wrong, Mark?" I asked in concern but Mark shook his head and turned his back around me.

"Everything is wrong. I never really wanted you but why am I seeking something from you? It's like.. I'm yearning for something that I don't know." Mark said and I knew exactly what he's looking for.

"You know.. Mark.. I'm always here for you, you know that? Even though you always push me away, I never give up on wanting to take care of you. If you just allow me.. I can be your Eomma too."
