Chapter 35
Her ProtectorHana cracked her neck as the sun shined down on her frame before wrinkling her nose. The police department had no option but to let her ago as the prosecutor couldn't pin anything onto her. Everytime he tried something, Hana's lawyer, Yonghwa would fire some law term right back at him.
"Don't get into trouble." Yonghwa warned, playing the part of a protective lawyer, well-aware of the cameras that were taking in his every move and word as the two separated.
"Yes sir." Hana nodded before Yonghwa was on his way. But Hana knew better, he was going to report back to JB and the others about his new findings. Turning toward her left, she headed in the direction of a family diner, that she hadn't gone in since she was a little kid.
The bell chimed as she entered before she was escorted to her seat near the back, well hidden from the other guests in the restaurant. No sooner had she sat down, someone slid into the seat across from her.
"You're late." Hana stated flatly as Luhan let out a silent laugh at her answer before bowing an apology.
"I had to make sure you weren't being followed." was his response as Hana let out a hum before plates of food were placed in front of them by the undercover waitress Hana had sent in.

"Lay is working with the others but so far, Hyunjin's record is as clean as a porcelain plate. We haven't been able to find anything. When we do find something, we get locked out. None of their hacks are working."
"Of course they're not." Hana nodded before reaching into her pocket and pulling out a slim, black usb before slidding it across the table as Luhan's hand clamped around out it.
"Use that." Hana nodded before chewing on some pieces of egg. "It's the code I wrote a couple of years ago. It's able to penetrate even the hardest defense without leaving a single trace. If my hack can't get past the barrier, then Hyunjin defintely hired a stronger black hat hacker to hide his information away."
The two of them sat in silence as Hana merely took more bites of the heaping amounts of food in front of her.
"You never told me you were undercover." Luhan broke the silence as Hana paused as she looked up. His eyes were unreadable but Hana was able to decipher the sign of relief and was that a glimmer of proudness?
"You never asked." Hana started as she snatched a piece of bacon off of his plate. "Besides, why would I even tell you I was undercover? That kind of defeats the purpose o
