Inspired by: JJCC's "Insomnia"

Yul's eyes immediately opened as he woke up from his nightmare. He hated for a fact that she still haunted him. He sat up and shook his head. Tears slowly formed before he wiped his eyes. He was careful enough not to wake Zica up or he'll get mad at him for being too noisy.

Yul decided to get up and go to the entrance hall to think about everything. He should've known he would end up like this. He shouldn't have tried falling asleep. She'll continue haunting him after all. 

Yul was in a relationship until a month ago. He met his girl a year ago, when he was shopping for new clothes with Zica. She was actually someone Zica knew since they studied in the same school from high school until their university days. Yul was actually the first one to confess though he looked like the shy type. Zica helped him out a lot. At first, she rejected him since she told him Yul was only a friend to her. Weeks went by, Yul started courting her so she'll date him someday. And she did. 

She was one of the best girls to come across Yul's life. She was not overly clingy. She was sweet and cute. She did aegyo sometimes. She cooked for him and cracked jokes. She was just perfect. Yul thought back and realized she was too good for him after all.

This insomnia, his inability to get sleep, had been haunting him since their break up. She was the one who broke up with him. He remembered the smile he fell in love with was replaced with tears. He remembered her warm words were replaced with these curses he never thought she was able to say.

Yul's puppy suddenly approached him and rested between his legs. 

"Sayul-ah, I miss your umma," Yul said as he patted his dog's head.
