Jungkook set his alarm earlier than usual, not wanting to miss out on any drama that would happen if Yujin chose to leave the house earlier.

Her door was closed and he went downstairs, fixing himself a simple breakfast and waited for her to come down.

He grew impatient when after half an hour, there was still no signs of Kang Yujin. His cellphone buzzed on the couch and he picked it up to see a text from Jimin and an earlier one from Taehyung.

TAEHYUNG: Yah, what's the situation over there? The damned shortie knows about the confession yet?

JIMIN: I'm going to re-confess again. Get the damned shortie to the roof for me.

JIMIN: Please.

JIMIN: Thank you.

JIMIN: I'll treat you to bubble tea after school.

Jungkook scoffed at Jimin's offer.

As if he couldn't get his own bubble tea.

He gave no response to either one of the boys and continued waiting.

The first signs of life from upstairs came from Suga's room that was above the dining area. Jungkook could hear the boy walking around his room, stopping at certain times and then he heard a door closed. He assumed Suga went into the bathroom to wash up.

Why isn't the damned shortie waking up??

By the time Suga came down and there was still no sounds coming from upstairs, Jungkook decided to give up waiting for Yujin and dropped his plan of following her to school. However, his eyes wandered over to the shoe shelf and noticed something. He said 'good morning' to Suga once the boy was down and stalked up the stairs. Without knocking, barged into Yujin's room.

Suga heard it and panicked before running up the stairs. No matter how much he had a soft spot for Jungkook, he wasn't gonna let the boy off for just barging into Yujin's room.

“YAH-”

Jungkook was running away from Yujin's room before Suga got to stop him. He heard Jungkook cursing under his breath.

Suga peaked into Yujin's room and saw her bed neatly made, bag gone from her chair and her person wasn't in the room.

“-Jungkook-ah where are you going??” he shouted from the top of the stairs before running down to see the younger boy putting his shoes on.

“School.” he said and ran out.

“IS SOMETHING WRONG??” Suga yelled out of the house.

“NO!” Jungkook yelled back and continued running towards the bus stop.

JIMIN: THE DAMNED SHORTIE JUST ASKED ME TO MEET HIM ON THE SCHOOL ROOFTOP I'M GOING TO SCHOOL NOW.

Seeing the message on the screen of his cellphone, Namjoon stood up from the dinning table, almost spilling his brother's cup of coffee.

“Yah, brat. What're you doing??” his brother exclaimed.

“, sorry hyung, I need to rush to school now!” Namjoon hastily said and left the table, grabbing his bag and keys.

“Oui! What about the rest of you food!”

Namjoon slipped into his shoes easily and waved his hand in dismissal. “Hyung, you can eat it all.”

Taehyung almost dropped the dishes he had been clearing from the table when he saw his screen light up on his side of the dinning table.

“WHAT THE HECK?!” he accidentally yelled out.

“KIM TAEHYUNG DID I JUST HEAR YOU SWEAR OUT THERE??!!!!” Jiwoo shouted from the kitchen.

“Oh sh-”

“AGAIN?!”

Taehyung gritted his teeth and as quickly as he could, he gathered all the plates around the table and stacked it up. Very carefully, he walked to the kitchen, telling a few of the kids to move aside. He placed the dishes into the sink where Jiwoo was washing them.

“Mum, I need to go to school now.”

The urgency in his voice made Jiwoo drop all intentions of hurling soap at him for swearing so loudly in the house where the other kids could hear him.

“What's wrong?” she asked in concern.

“It's nothing to worry about but I really need to be there as soon as possible.” Taehyung said and gave her a quick kiss on her cheek. “-love you.” he said and ran out of the kitchen, pulling off the flowery apron that he only wore at home. He wouldn't even want to be caught dead in it.

He ran pass a few kids, holding his bag over his head.

“Taetae hyung run away!” one of them complained.

“Hyung is in a rush, sorry I'll come home after school and play with you okay?” Taehyung bent down briefly to console the boy before launching out of the house with everything he needed.

TAEHYUNG: YAH WHICH ROOF?!

JIMIN: same roof!

When Taehyung ran up the stairs, he saw Namjoon and Jungkook already there. He tried to hide his panting and steadied his breath.

“Is it done?” he asked softly.

“Jimin just went out. Good timing.” Namjoon said from where he was squatting. Jungkook was standing, leaning against the wall where he was in the perfect position to see what was happening from the slit of the half-closed door.

Yujin had no idea how to confront Jimin so she decided to let the boy do the talking. She sent him a text asking him to meet her at the rooftop and he came running up fifteen minutes later, faster than she expected him to.

She stood in the middle of the open space, hands in pocket and uniform as messy as ever. Her face was in the same nonchalant expression that Jimin had first seen on her first day in BH High.

She wasn't talking and Jimin wasn't very sure what to say either. He had purposely made his uniform even neater than it had been the day before. His younger brother had given him some sort of snide remark about Jimin being an 'absolutely ridiculously cringe-worthy nerd'.

Jimin couldn't care less.

He decided to start the conversation.

“Hey.”

Instantly, all three boys in hiding slapped a hand over their faces.

What kind of dumb start is that?!

“-da- I mean, Ka-Kang Yujin!” Jimin exclaimed.

Double face-palm.

Did he just almost call him 'damned shortie'?!

Yujin got more relaxed knowing that Jimin was still the same idiotic kid who won't stop stuttering.

Which reminds me.. don't tell me just because I so much about stuttering when he talks to me because he likes me, he really believed it?

“-yesterday.. I told you something, but.. Suga hyung said that you were too tired to process anything.” Jimin said, watching her expressions properly. When she didn't say anything, he continued. “-I'll repeat what I said to you, even if they told you.”

Jimin took in a deep breath and calmed his raging heart.

“-Kang Yujin, I like you.”

This time, Jimin was prepared to watch Yujin's reaction. He didn't want to miss a single moment.

Yujin blinked once and shifted her position.

“Park Jimin.”

Jimin straightened his back and looked at her eagerly.
