"How was the test?" Suga asked Jungkook and Yujin as the three of them walked back.

"Easy." Yujin said.

Suga snorted jokingly and got shoved by her. He looked at Jungkook. "You?"

"..." Jungkook recalled the time when he got angry before the last paper. "-...it was okay."

"You're hiding something." Yujin stated. "-but I won't ask you because I. don't. care." she made a playfully arrogant look.

"You're really not keeping up your Kang Yujin character any more." Suga laughed. "-what happened? JYP High straightened you out? The worst delinquent of BH High has finally become a normal kid?"

"Who knows?" Yujin pulled the straps on her bag and teased.

"Oh yeah," Suga said when he was alone with Jungkook in the kitchen. Yujin was taking a shower upstairs. "-you wanted to say something in the shop earlier?"

Jungkook looked at him and almost shook his head when he remembered.

"What about sisters?"

"I don't know. I don't have a sister."

"I d-"

"Hyung, didn't you say that you didn't want anyone to know that you have a sister?" Jungkook asked.

Suga's expression turned into a worried one. "Why? Did someone say that I have one in school? Where did you hear it from?"

"..no, but you almost admitted it on your own in the shop."

"I did????" Suga asked in horror.

"When you were quarrelling with the damned shortie about brothers and sisters..."

It took Suga a few moments to realise that he almost said that he had a sister. Then he remembered that Jungkook had interrupted him mid-sentence but didn't say anything after that.

"OHH Jungkook-ah!! You interrupted me because of that right?"

Before Jungkook got to reply, Suga patted his back. "-thank you." he smiled. "-I'd say I love you but you're a guy and it's gonna be awkward so I won't."

Jungkook's face twitched in slight confusion.

"Min Yoongi just shut up and take your shower." Yujin said as she came down the stairs with her towel over her wet head. "-you already made it awkward."

"WHAT? I didn't do anything!!"

"Get lost." Yujin flicked her towel at him and he dodged the water flung towards him.

"Whatever. Don't fight kay!!" he reminded them and went upstairs.

Yujin turned and make herself fall onto the couch with a thud. She leaned back against the couch while Jungkook remained standing and both of them kept that up for a few minutes.

"Aren't you gonna take your shower?" she asked Jungkook.

"I'll wait for hyung."

"OH." Yujin sat straight and pointed at him, startling him a little. "-you replied me without hesitating!!"

Jungkook always thought he could keep up with Yujin and Suga's unexpected behavioural changes since he first stayed in their house. All he needed to do was play along. Or just completely ignore it for Yujin's case.

He found himself slowly being unable to keep up, especially when Yujin started being overly friendly to him for no apparent reason lately.

"-...andddd you're gonna ignore me again." Yujin said and started drying her hair with the towel.

"...why are you so different in school?"

Yujin hands stopped ruffling her hair with the towel for a while and Jungkook almost thought she'd flip because he couldn't see her face behind the towel.

She continued what she was doing. "Depends which time in school you mean and who I'm with when you say I'm different."

Jungkook pulled out a chair from the dining table and sat down.

"When you're the delinquent 'Kang Yujin' compared to now. Why're you so two faced?"

Yujin pulled off her towel from her head, revealing the smirk she had on her face even though she wasn't looking his way.

"'Two faced'?" Yujin asked and rested her arms on either side of her legs. "-don't you have things you want to hide from people too? The lesser the people who know the better?"

"At least I don't act like a bipolar bastard."

Jungkook realised what he called her and mentally hit himself because Yujin could start a fight with him for calling her that. And that's what Suga told them not to do.

It surprised him when all Yujin did was stood up.

"Easy for you to say," she said. "-you can get away with everything because you just don't talk. What would you know? You just live for yourself. You don't have anyone you need to protect."

Jungkook stared at the floor as Yujin went to the back to throw her towel into the basket.

Before she headed for the stairs, Jungkook asked, "What's there that you need to protect?"

Yujin breathed out slowly and turned to him with a flat expression. "The smiles on their faces. The kind of place we're in right now is just a ticking time bomb that can go off any time. If what you call me being bipolar can make them smile a second longer, I don't mind."

Suga came down and came to a stop when he saw Yujin and Jungkook staring at each other as if their conversation turned stale.

Before he got to ask, Yujin turned and went up the stairs and he made way for her, staring in confusion at her actions. "What happened?" he asked her.

When he didn't get a reply, he turned to Jungkook and repeated his question. "-what happened?"

Jungkook let out a breath he didn't realise he was holding. "Nothing hyung. Don't worry, we didn't fight."

Suga watched the younger boy walk up the stairs.

"Kang Yujin what did you do again?"

"When are the results coming out?" Jimin asked when the three of them reached the bus stop the next day.

"What results?" Taehyung tore a bubblegum out of its wrapper and popped it into his mouth.

"The two who took their test yesterday."

"Ah.." Taehyung nodded then shrugged. "-don't know."

"Maybe today or tomorrow. I doubt it'll be that long. Hoseok hyung's brother's probably gonna rush everything." Namjoon said.

"That's true."

Taehyung looked around. "Speaking of that, where has Jungkook been? He never comes to school with us any more."

"Jimin you should know right? You've been to his house before." Namjoon said.

Jimin bit his tongue a while as he quickly thought up something. "Uh.. Maybe he has transport now?"

"That chic boy." Namjoon laughed.

Jimin breathed out in relief when the two of them didn't pry in any further into the matter. He knew Jungkook had his own family problems and he knew that the younger boy always goes home very late into the night. He knew he had problems but he didn't know the extent of Jungkook's family circumstances so he didn't know how to respond to Namjoon's question.

In the past, Jimin had insisted and disturbed Jungkook until he gave up and brought him to his house once and for all so that Jimin would shut up about wanting to see how his house looked like.

Jimin did regret wanting to know. Maybe it had been better to not have been too nosy.

But where has he been?

The bus came and he got pulled up by Taehyung.

"Yo! Kang. Yu. Jin!!" Jin said loudly when he saw Yujin walking ahead of him to school alone.

She turned back at that voice. "Oh hyung."

"Where's Suga?" he asked as he caught up to her and they started walking together.

"Don't know." she shrugged. "-probably at the library nerding out or something."

Jin laughed. "Nerding out."

"Where's Hoseok?"

"'Hoseok hyung'! He's older than you!!"

"He acts like he's younger." Yujin shrugged.

"Young lad- man, call him hyung. He's still older." Jin said.

Yujin raised a brow at him teasingly. "Young what?"

"Shush!"

Yujin smirked. "Don't let it slip out of your mouth, Jin 'hyung'."

"Yeesh you." Jin laughed and messed up her hair.

"Oh? Isn't that Jin hyung? And the damned shortie?" Taehyung stopped and asked. They were about to enter the school when he thought he saw the two familiar figures.

Namjoon noticed and tried not to laugh when he saw Jimin turn around immediately. "Someone's excited?" he asked.

"Who?" Taehyung and Jimin asked.

"You seem VERY excited?" he asked Jimin.

"W-w-what??" Jimin tried to defend himself.

"Kid," Namjoon laughed. "-you start stuttering when you're nervous. Think I don't know after so long?"

"I-I'm not nervous d-d-dammit!!"

"Whatever you say." Namjoon swung his bag over his shoulder and walked into the school.

Taehyung looked at Jimin from behind with a playful smirk. "JIN HYUNG!!!" he yelled. Jimin flinched and widened his eyes when he locked gazes with Yujin.

Yujin stopped laughing with Jin when they heard Taehyung yelling his name.

"Oh! Taehyung-ah!" Jin smiled and waved.

Yujin raised a brow when she saw Jimin's shocked face.
