It was the 24th and Super Juniors were still busy with Christmas live shows, TV guestings and parties. Donghae was constantly checking his watch. Just one hour left before the clock strikes 12:00am over at her place. Karin and Jin left for Australia* two days ago. This year, their parents decided to celebrate Christmas in Sydney*. The two spent their morning sightseeing and in the afternoon, they helped their mothers prepare for the Christmas Eve dinner.

Karin and Jin were at the porch when the clock struck 12:00. “Merry Christmas!” They watched as one by one, houses start to light up along George St.*except for one particular house, where only a faint light diffused out of a window in the second floor.
Karin went to the kitchen and filled a box with cookies she baked with her mom. Jin need not ask any questions. She was going to that house to give her greetings. He followed her as Karin crossed the street and walked a few more blocks. She pressed the button and in seconds, they saw a shadow of a person inside that room move. Both waited patiently as the lights of the living room and front porch were . The door slightly opened, and they saw a girl peek from behind.
“Merry Christmas!!” they cheerfully greeted the now startled girl. Slowly with a bit of hesitation, the girl opened the door wide. She was in her pyjamas. Her black hair tied up to a messy bun, with strands of her hair falling in front of her round brown eyes. Handing the girl the box, Karin said “for you,” smiling sweetly at her. “Thank you,” the girl shyly replied, accepting it. Her cute face lit up as she saw chocolate chip cookies inside.
“Umm, where are your parents?” Karin could not help but ask. Why is she alone on Christmas Eve? “Mom is a nurse and is working late right now at the hospital,” she replied. “Since no one is home, would you like to come over our place?” Karin asked. “It’s that house,” Jin pointed out, “right across the street.” The girl looked to where he is pointing, then back at Karin and Jin, undecided to whether she would go or not.
“I’m Karin by the way,” she said extending a hand. “I’m you,” she replied, shaking Karin’s hand. “I’m Jin, her best friend,” he also reached his hand. you then placed the cookies over the coffee table, and quickly changed her clothes. Karin held her hand as they walked back to the house.
“Meet you, our special guest,” Karin announced. “Come, come. Take a sit,” Karin’s mother pulled out a chair for her. Karin started putting food in her plate. After some time, the adults were at the back porch, talking among themselves leaving the younger ones in the dining room. Jin, Karin and you then went outside and enjoyed their hot choco.
Karin’s phone suddenly rang. “Fishy,” you looked at Jin strangely. Fishy? “Merry Christmas too,” she chuckled. Apparently, Donghae couldn’t get a hold of her. “I tried calling you several times so that I could be the first one to greet you,” he whined. Network
