Karin and Jin finished eating dinner. They take turns cooking and washing the dishes. Since it was Karin who cooked, Jin did the dishes. After cleaning up, Jin headed straight to the computer.

“Uh-oh” he finally saw the last part of the video, wherein Karin was captured by the camera.

She won’t get mad. Will she? I mean, she is smiling and looks very cute, too. She is not ugly in that shot. She’ll understand. She always does.  Jin was talking to himself, nervous about Karin’s reaction.

He was awfully quiet, staring at the computer, when Karin said, “Hey, what’s wrong?”

Surprised, he stood up, banged his leg and fell to the floor. “Jin...” Karin rushed as she helped her friend, “What are you doing? Be careful.” He stood up, stuttering he said, “No-nothing. I...I’m ok. “

“Yeah, you don’t have any bruises. You’re ok. So, how was your site?” she asked.

As she approached the computer, he then stood up and sat on the chair, blocking her view.

“Hey, let me see that...i did help you with your site, you know,” Karin gently pushed her friend aside.

“Oh, look!” Karin exclaimed. “What? What? There is no-“it was a really nerve-wracking situation for him.

“You got 2456 hits already. Good job!” she said tapping his back.

“Yeah, all thanks to you,” he was really glad to have her as a friend.

Ever since they were young, Jin always got into tight situations, and Karin was always there to bail him out.  He always got Karin into trouble, but she never gets mad at him. She only gets irritated every now and then.

Karin just stared at the site, having fun looking as the number of views increases.

“If it wasn’t for your sorry, sorry piano cover, my site’s popularity would not increase. Thank you,” Jin said. “Super Junior is really popular.”

“Yes, they’ve got millions of fans. And you owe me this one. If it wasn’t for my cover…” she was already bragging when,

 “We should definitely make more covers of their songs,” he added.

“We? More? No way!” she protested.

“Oh, c’mon. We’ve come this far. They love your playing. We should continue.” He was really serious with what he said, looking Karin in the eyes.

She looked at him and smiled, “I’m glad you’re happy with what you’re doing. I’m sorry, if I make it hard on you when it comes to taking videos.”

“I know you can’t resist me,” Jin teased, breaking the atmosphere.

“That’s it! That would be the last favour you’ll ever get from me,” Karin warned as she went back up to her room. “And lock the door when you leave.”

I’m sorry, Karin. I know how much you hated when people turn their attention on you. You always preferred being in the background, left alone in your own world. You just have to realize how special you are. Just as you have helped me all this time, I’ll show the world how bright you shine, so that you’ll never have to hide from people anymore.

Karin stopped playing the piano, because of what happened years ago. She only got 2nd place in the competition, but she was contented with the award, knowing that she did her best. Her parents were proud of her as well. However, her maestro was strict. He made her practice even harder.
