“Who helped get into my room?” Heesun asked, eyebrow raised and a small smirk forming on her face.

“How do you know I didn’t let myself in?” Chen asked, laughing slightly as he lay back against the blankets.

“Because there are spells on all the rooms to prevent break-ins,” Heesun replied, moving to sit down beside him, “so who let you in?”

“Sori.”

“So what do you want?” she asked, “I mean, you came here for a reason, right?”

“Yeah,” Chen nodded, “what the heck is going on with Chanyeol and Lina? They’re avoiding each other, not even talking. And then he’ll give her these looks, like he’s a dog who lost his owner. Did they have a fight of something?”

“Something like that,” Heesun sighed, “have the others noticed? And why aren’t you going to Baekhyun about this.”

“Baekhyun isn’t really talking much to anyone right now,” Chen explained, “what we have managed to get out of him is that he got into a fight with Chanyeol and just feels like about it.”

“Then why isn’t he doing something about it?” Heesun scoffed, “it’s been a few days since they got into it. Baekhyun isn’t one to just sit on something like that.”

“Maybe he feels like it’s not his fault,” was all Chen could say, trying to come up with a reason for it himself and getting nothing, “maybe he wants Chanyeol to apologize to him first, but since Chanyeol has other stuff on his mind right now……..”

“That apologize isn’t coming and that’s making him more upset,” she sighed.

“Yeah.”

“My other question,” Heesun said, “who else has noticed Chanyeol and Lina being weird?”

“Everyone,” he replied, “all our friends, even our classmates. I think the whole school knows that something’s up by this point.”

“.”

“I take it that everyone knowing isn’t a good thing.”

“Probably not,” Heesun sighed, “especially if people start to ask them directly what happened. I…..I don’t think that would end too well.”

“So what happened?” Chen asked once more, “why are they acting like this.”

“Chanyeol kissed her,” Heesun explained, “I guess he’s always like her, so when she told him about another guy asking her out……….he kind of confessed.”

“Dang,” Chan hissed, realizing just how ty a situation the pair were in, “and Lina has no idea what she feels, does she?”

“Not in the slightest.”

“Someone’s gonna get hurt,” Chen sighed, “or maybe everyone is gonna get hurt.”

“Yeah.”

“But I could be wrong,” Chen said after a moment, sounding just a bit hopeful, “maybe everything will work out, regardless of if those two end up dating or not.”

“We can hope,” Heesun nodded.

The pair fell silent again.

“Is it just me,” Chen finally said, “or is everyone getting girlfriends and boyfriends and going out on dates?”

“Not just you,” Heesun nodded, “Sori and Ravi are together. Luhan got asked out the other day, same with Kai and Tao. Hongbin is getting asked out a lot these past few weeks and Hyuk mentioned something about trying to talk him into agreeing to this one girl.”

“Xiumin’s apparently got a girl,” Chen nodded, “well, kind of. Both are denying it like crazy, but I caught them making out.”

“We’ve made out,” she spoke up, “and we aren’t dating.”

“Well,” Chen shrugged, “maybe we should be.”

“Maybe,” Heesun nodded slightly, glancing over at him, “but you have to make a show of asking me out. And the first date has to be something special.”

“Getting all jelly over the dates Ravi takes Sori on,” he teased, earning a quick slap on the arm from the other werewolf.

“Oh please,” she scoffed, “this is Sori we’re talking about. She hasn’t said about her dates, so I don’t know anything about them. How can I be jealous over something I don’t know anything about?”

“Point,” Chen nodded, “and I’ll make a big show of asking you out tomorrow, in front of the whole school at lunch.”

“Moron,” Heesun slacked his arm again, “I don’t want a big show like that!”

“Too embarrassing?”

“Too many people watching,” she explained, “and I don’t want all those people knowing about what’s going on in my personal life.”

“Right,” Chen nodded, thinking that over for a moment, “I’d actually prefer that myself. I don’t need total strangers talking about who I’m dating and what we’re doing on our dates.”

“Plus,” Heesun sighed, “I don’t want my parents to find out.”

“Right,” Chen winced, “same here.”

“I mean,” she scowled darkly, “they’d be overjoyed that I’m dating a werewolf, especially when you take into account who your dad is.”

“But that isn’t any of their business,” Chen smiled slightly, understanding the other completely, “and you don’t want them throwing their input out there, trying to turn us dating into something else.”

“Yeah,” she nodded, “I like you. I like you a lot. But…….”

“Not enough for an arranged mating,” he finished her thought.

“Exactly.”

“At least not right now.”

“Yeah!” Heesun nodded, “right now, we’re friends and we just started—wait, we haven’t even started dating yet!” both chuckled a little at that, “we haven’t even started dating, romantic feelings are just starting to form. That’s not enough to go on as far as mating in concerned.”

“I know.”

“But ask me in a couple of years,” she told Chen, “and maybe the answer will have changed.”

“I’ve got to ask you out first, though,” he laughed, “can’t do anything until that happens.”

The pair fell silent once more, just watching the ceiling and enjoying the quiet.

Quiet that was interrupted by Lina rushing into the room, a look of urgency on her face.

“What’s going on?” Heesun asked.

“Can I talk to you?” the fallen asked, glancing at Chen, “alone?”

“I was just leaving,” Chen shrugged, flashing Lina a smile to reassure her that she wasn’t kicking him out or anything, “see you tomorrow, Heesun. Bright and early.”

“What’s going on?” Lina asked once they heard the door of their dorm shut behind Chen, signaling that he was in the hall and heading for the stairs, “did I interrupt something important.”

“Nah,” Heesun assure her, “we just finished talking anyway. So what brings you in here?”

“First,” Lina said, “come with me, I want to talk to you, Sori, and Jessica about this.”

“Alright,” Heesun nodded, following the other girl to Sori’s room where she was sitting doing homework with Jessica.

“Hey,” Jessica said, looking up, “what’s going on?”

“I’ve made a decision,” Lina said, “about Chanyeol.”
