Together
Dark Lake Academy“Hi,” Lito smiled, “I’m Lito, Sori’s little brother.”
“Um,” Kris blinked, looking between Sori and Lito. The rest of their friends looked equally concerned, looking lover Sori carefully like they expected her to suddenly start to cry or something.
“Yeah,” Sori nodded, patting Lito’s shoulder, “he’s my brother. Mother and father told him all about me.”
“But I thought--.” Yuri quickly covered Chanyeol’s mouth before he could say anything, shaking her head back and forth before removing her hand.
Unfortunately, Chen wasn’t close enough for her to hush as well.
“I thought your parents wanted nothing to do with you,” the werewolf said, earning a slap from Heesun.
“Blunt much?” she hissed.
“Sorry,” Chen quickly apologized once he noticed the hurt that flashed in Sori’s eyes.
“Things weren’t what we thought they were,” Ravi stepped up, taking Sori’s hand and giving it a small squeeze, “there was more going on then Sori knew.”
“The rest of the family is to blame,” Jessica nodded, hanging her head in shame even though she’d had nothing to do with Sori being sent away, “they wanted Sori gone.”
“Alright,” Kris nodded, moving forewords to greet Lito properly, “it’s nice to meet you, Lito. I’m Kris.”
“I know,” Lito nodded, “I’ve read all about you.”
“Oh?” Kris blinked, “really?”
“Yeah,” Lito scowled, “I don’t like you.”
“Huh?” behind him, several of the others burst out laughing at how shocked Kris was.
“You defiled my sister,” Lito shrugged, “so I don’t like you. Dad doesn’t like you either.”
That got a shocked silence from everyone. Sori blinked in shock, trying to figure out how on earth her brother could know something like that, and Kris’ jaw dropped. Sure the whole school knew that the two used to date and most assumed that they had gone all the way. But for Lito to know…….
“How do you know that?” Suho finally asked, realizing that Kris and Sori were not going to ask any time soon.
“I’ve got some friends who started here last year,” Lito frowned, glaring darkly at Kris, “they told me all about the whole romance of Kris the dragon and Sori the shifter.”
“How……,” Sori finally said, “How does father know?”
“People talk,” Jessica spoke up, “and gossip. You and Kris…….it was kind of the big topic for a while among shifter families.”
“Yeah,” Lay nodded, looking away when Sori turned to him, “even my family heard about it and they aren’t into the gossip stuff.”
“,” Sori cursed, trying to imagine what the first parents’ day was going to be like with something like that hanging in the background.
And then she remembered the guy holding her hand.
“Maybe we should head to bed?” Ken voiced, noticing the troubled look on Ravi’s face and quickly realizing what was wrong.
“Yeah,” Hongbin nodded after noticing the same thing, “it’s getting late and we’ve got to be up early for class.”
“Who even deiced to make class start an hour earlier?” Hyuk huffed, silently hoping that the others would go along with what Ken and Hongbin were trying to do like he was, “and two hours later?”
“Have to make up the time we lost somehow,” Suho spoke up, starting to heard his roommates out of the girls’ dorm common area, “I’m more upset about having to attend class on Saturday.”
“That ,” Kai huffed, following Suho’s example with his own roommates, “but it’s not gonna be forever, right?”
“Yeah,” Hyoyeon nodded, making her own way out of the room, “just until we catch up. Night everyone.”
“Sleep well,” Krystal said, catching Yuri and Jessica’s arms and leading them out, “see you in the morning.”
“I still don’t like you,” Lito growled at Kris before turning to Sori, “Night sis, I’ll see you tomorrow at lunch, right?”
“Yeah,” Sori nodded and Lito scampered off so he could get some sleep.
Everyone else left as well, calling out similar wishes for a goodnights sleep.
“I really hate being reminded that you used to be with Kris,” Ravi sighed.
“I know,” Sori nodded.
“I haven’t been with anyone before,” Ravi pouted, “I’m not experienced at all with relationships. But you are.”
“I wouldn’t really call what Kris and I had a relationship,” Sori admitted, leading Ravi over to one of the couches so that they could sit and talk, “what we’re doing is much more of relationship.”
“You’re just saying that to make me feel better,” Ravi sighed, “either way, you’ve got more experience than I do.”
“Doesn’t matter,” Sori shrugged, “you’ll learn.”
“You’re still just saying stuff to make me feel better,” Ravi sighed again.
“Not if it’s not working,” Sori countered.
“Are you sure?” Ravi asked after a long pause.
“Sure?”
“About dating me?” Ravi explained, “About being my girlfriend?”
“I’m sure,” Sori nodded, moving to rest her head against Ravi’s shoulder.
“Good,” Ravi smiled softly, wrapping an arm around Sori’s shoulder.
--
“Don’t pout,” Kris said, dropping down beside N as the changeling as on the balcony of their dorm.
“I’m not pouting,” N replied, shifting slightly so that he could look at Kris directly, “see? Not pouting.”
“You are,” Kris said, “and you and I both know over what.”
“I really don’t know what you’re talking about,” N frowned, “what am I supposed to be pouting over?”
“Oh for crying out loud,” Kris through his arm up in the air in frustration.
“You’re upset that Ravi is dating Sori,” Leo said, joining the two with Luhan close behind.
“I am not upset that they’re together,” N defended himself.
“You do know I can feel your emotions, right?” Luhan scoffed, “or did all the time away at the ISBIP base make you forget?”
“Fine,” N sighed, rolling his eyes, “I’m upset. I really liked Sori and at one point I thought she liked me. I guess I was wrong because she’s with Ravi. Heck, the two of them are probably making out right now.”
“You aren’t crying, though,” Kris said, “that’s a good thing.”
“The girl I have a massive crush on is into one of my best friends,” N huffed, “that’s not something I’m gonna cry over.”
“Because it’s Ravi,” Leo nodded in understanding, “as sad as you might be over losing a chance with Sori, at least she’s with someone you know will treat her well. Someone you know likes her just as much you do.”
“Probably more,” N nodded, a small, bitter smile on his face.
The group fell silent.
A/N: i…..don’t actually know what to say right now. Kind of amazed that this chapter actually makes sense ‘cuz I was writing this while watching some Markiplier videos and……I don’t multi-task too well anymore.
