Baby Hana
The MaskThe walls were painted white, the room looking as boring and plain as ever, but a sight to behold made up for it. There he was, the love of her life, the man she had planned out her future with, and the father of her child.
Wrapped in a baby pink cloth, Hana looked smaller than she was. Her eyes were still closed and was forming an ‘O’ shape while moving her head from side to side lightly. Her hand wrapped around Luhan’s finger as Luhan cradled her into his arms, looking lovingly at his daughter. He was in awe and he still couldn’t believe that he was already a father and that he was already holding her in his arms.
Even if Luhan had seemed to forget that Jinah existed the moment he held his daughter, Jinah didn’t mind at all. How could she get mad or even jealous when the moment right in front of her eyes was so picturesque? Time seemed to stop moving as she watched Luhan smile at every little actions and sounds that Hana made. Finally realizing that he had been so engrossed at admiring Hana all by himself, he smiled sheepishly at Jinah who looked really tired, but was undeniably happy.
“I’m sorry. I just… she’s just so cute and so little and so tiny. Look at her hands, I mean her fingers! She’s just so adorable.” Luhan whined cutely as Jinah laughed at him.
Luhan sat down on Jinah’s bed so as to let her hold her precious one. Luhan carefully gave Hana to her mother. Jinah lightly tapped Hana’s nose and smiled sweetly at her. She kissed Hana’s forehead as Hana made incomprehensible sounds. Luhan tucked in Jinah’s hair behind her ear as Jinah looked at him.
“She looks like you, don’t you think? Luhan asked as he looked back at Hana again.
Jinah nodded proudly and played with Hana’s tiny fingers. “She’s so beautiful, Luhan.”
“Beautiful just like her mother,” Luhan said.
As Jinah was about to comment back, there was a faint knock on the door. The two of them looked at each other and then looked at the door. For some reason, Jinah was scared that it might be Kevin and there was no way she would let him go near his baby, but when the door opened, it revealed three smiling faces of handsome guys. Jinah looked at Luhan in confusion whilst the latter just shrugged.
“I mean they’re practically my brothers now. I think it’s just right to let them know that you already gave birth.”
Yixing, Yifan and Minseok were at the door and waving at Jinah. Boxes of what seemed like presents and foods were on their hands. Yifan even had a small soft toy and a flower on his hand.
“Come in, guys,” Jinah called as she appreciated deeply how they squeezed in some time from their busy schedule to see their brother’s daughter. “Thanks for coming.”
As she watched Luhan hug the guys, she couldn’t help but to think that he might be missing them real bad, but then again, Jinah and him had already decided and talked that some things are meant to let go. Although it was cringingly difficult, they did it anyway in the name of love.
“Jinah, how come you’re still glowing when you’ve already give birth?” Minseok asked Jinah in a chuckle.
“Quite hitting on her, can’t you see she’s taken and has a baby?” Yifan teased and Minseok rolled his eyes. “And you don’t want Jinah and her baby to witness you getting murdered right in front of her eyes, right?” Yifan side glanced at Luhan who was giving Minseok a playful glare.
Yixing shook his head at the three idiots and made his way to Jinah and Hana. “What did you name her?”
“Hana.”
“Wonderful name,” he commented as he smiled. “Ca
