Reverie
The MaskDisappointed. She was really disappointed that Luhan forgot her birthday.
Hurt. She was really hurt when they went to Yeon Ah’s birthday party instead of the dinner he promised her.
Jinah loved birthdays so much. To her, birthdays were special. Also, it somehow saddened her. People usually celebrate their birthday with their family, friends or partner. In her situation, she had no family, no boyfriend and she told her friends that she wouldn’t be celebrating with them just because of Luhan’s promise – the broken promise.
She was so down that day, that she just slept it off. She just felt lonely…
She was expecting Luhan to contact her, but he didn’t, which really hurt her. She wasn’t expecting him to return the same treatment and feelings, but apologizing for forgetting a friend’s birthday should be normal.
‘Friend… that’s what we’ll always be.’
Not wanting to sink into depression, she decided to have a date with herself. It had been so long since she last went out alone. Maybe a time alone was what she needed.
Walking down the streets, she hugged herself tighter. The wind was so cold and the sky was so dark as if it was going to rain soon. She passed by the dark, small alleys. It gave her a melancholic and somewhat horrible feeling. She remembered how they cornered helpless people, robbing them. Money, jewelleries, phone and anything that looked valuable. She was responsible for her decisions, but that was a decision she made when she was the most fragile and insensitive. She regretted it. She despised it.
Just like Youngho said before, no one would love a person with a horrible past; a lowly person, especially her since she was a girl. She wondered if a normal guy or even if a guy who had the same past as her would even accept her, but she was dreaming of something so unreachable; she was dreaming that somehow, Luhan would accept her once he finds out about her past, even if she stood no chance of being the person he loved more than anyone in the world, someone he would be afraid of losing, someone he couldn’t live without, someone he would protect with his life.
She chuckled bitterly. He was so close, yet so far. Every time she was reminded of her past, she just wanted to end the contract with Luhan as his fake girlfriend.
Wait…
There was no contract to start with.
Her eyes widened in realization. How stupid was she to forget that there was no contract to start with. She could just simply go to the company and tell them that she wanted to stop the whole act already.

Luhan really hated their tight schedule. ‘Why do we have to be busy every time I sort of argue or have a small disagreement with Jinah?’ He sighed as he heard the annoying beep
