The moment she saw Luhan, her mood instantly lit up, but when she saw Yeon Ah with them, her insides felt like crumbling down to ashes. Kevin did not seem to notice the other people with them because she was sure that if he saw them, too, he would do something like take her out of the restaurant, so she would not feel like crap.

She was an observer, and she noticed how the guys looked at her from time to time. Her colleagues were unaware that she knew quite a number of people in the entertainment industry, and she felt safer like that. She just acknowledged their presence, and they seemed to notice that she didn’t want the other people in the room to know that she was acquainted with them.

Luhan’s gaze was making her uncomfortable. She hated it when people monitor her moves and expressions. She felt that once someone master her moves, they could easily break the walls that no one succeeded to for years, except for her friends.

She munched on her food, and let the conversation go without her saying a thing about it. Her mind was going elsewhere. Kevin nudged her and her eyes instantly went back to its normal look. He mouthed her an, ‘Are you okay?’ She formed her lips in a straight line knowing he would know if she was lying to him.

She took out her phone and typed in that EXO and Yeon Ah were at the table in front of them. He nodded a little bit in understanding and just went with the flow.

They paid for the lunch in a split bill when they finished eating. They didn’t have as much time as EXO since they only had an hour of lunch break and they had to go back to the office. She let her colleagues go first, and when they were walking in front of her, she bowed goodbye to them and to Yeon Ah, but she didn’t seem to notice it because she was laughing along with Luhan.

She stared at them longer than she intended to. Luckily, Kevin pulled her hand when he noticed it. She had no idea what life was without this guy who always saved her sorry .

They went back to the office, and for the rest of the day, she wasn’t thinking about work. She was thinking about the scene earlier and her feelings.

She breathed heavily at the thought. “How can I possibly be in love with him when we rarely talk? I just like him because of his looks and talents and you know that,” she said in a little annoyed tone, making him chuckle.

“Look, sweetie, you don’t know when you’re in love and we are always the one who can tell if you are in love or not. You like him just because of his looks and talents? I beg to differ, but you always admire his little flaws and the way he laughs. How he groans when Junmyeon hyung asks for another round of practice and the way he looks amazed at things.” He paused and groaned. “You know what I’m talking about.” He looked at her and she looked blankly at him.
