Talk
The Mask“Are you sure? I don’t think they will go this far.” Jinah sighed as she stared at the text message Xinyi showed her. She kept on reading it again and again, still not believing that it was actually her fault that she got herself into this mess.
“Those s from our rival group in dancing are the ones behind this whole framing up thing. They are more clever and a step ahead of us than we expected,” Xinyi said. This time, they didn’t know they would go this far that they will involve other people into their fight.
‘This is my fault. I should take responsibility.’
It could have been any of them, but why must it be Jinah? It wasn’t that she wanted her friends to be tangled in this mess instead, but why must it be particularly her? She had done them nothing wrong, and as far as she remembered, she didn’t even talk to any of them.
“Look, they admitted it themselves, and clearly, they used you particularly because you are known to be the most innocent among us. You are loved by a lot of people and by using the most famous ones to get into a scandal, it would easily damage the group’s name. It’s not your fault so don’t blame yourself, understand?” Xinyi never failed to comfort her. She knew the right words to say, but no matter how much she tried to make her feel better, she couldn’t fight the guilt that she had feeling. Luhan’s career was at stake and not just his, also EXO’s.
“I don’t know, Xinyi. I caused everyone trouble. EXO is innocent. Luhan is innocent. I have no idea what his company is planning or what punishment he is going to receive, and I have to do something about it, but I don’t know what to do. What should I do?” She clutched her head in desperation. She was in great distress right now and she really need someone’s advice or else she might do things carelessly.
Xinyi sighed and took a seat beside her. “Are you really willing to go all out just to help Luhan?”
She nodded sincerely, and she continued, “It’s either SM will deny the scandal or you will be in a fake relationship with Luhan. Trust me, I’ve seen a lot of things like this and it’s nowhere easy. Are you prepared?”
‘Fake relationship with Luhan?’ She didn’t think SM would want that, but Xinyi had a point.
Just in time, Luhan came out from the room where he was talking with his managers and called her, “We need to discuss a few things with you regarding this issue.” Jinah looked at Xinyi nervously and she just patted Jinah’s shoulder in support.
“Ahn Jinah-ssi, do you have any idea who could have done this?” One of their managers looked at her, and she was really uncomfortable on how he looked at her.
She didn’t want to lie because she know it would do no good, and sooner or later, they would find it out, so she nodded her head lightly. “It’s one of our rival group’s doings,” she mumbled softly, but loud enough for them to hear. “I’m sorry.”
Luhan huffed lightly and she knew then that he was pissed and annoyed, too. “Why did they choose Luhan?” the scary manager asked.
“Because the most popular people from each groups would make the biggest scandals and, voila, here we are,” another manager said and a groan could b
