Part Fifty-Three: Epilogue
The Words Unsaid
Did I fool you guys? Did you really think I would leave the story at a cliffhanger? Sorry that was a mean prank. But I wanted to surprise you guys with this extra chapter or you could call it an epilogue. I really hope you guys will enjoy this chapter! There aren’t any more surprises after this so this is really the end. : (
Ps. This was the first chapter I wrote for the series almost two years ago.
The video was shaky and it was obvious that it was being pushed from member to member.
“Here you film it,” Sunggyu said firmly as the camera was pushed into someone’s hands. It took a few seconds before the dressing room came into view. Sunggyu who was wearing a black and purple suit stared up at the camera.
“Today is our first day back,” Sunggyu told the camera. “So should we see what the members are doing?”
Then Sunggyu paused. “Should I tell you what I’m doing?”
The camera moved up and down.
“What do you do in Infinite?” the camera man asked.
“I’m the leader of Infinite! The leader is the most important person in the group!” Sunggyu stuck out his chest proudly. “Why are you shaking your head?”
The camera man took a step back as Sunggyu lunge for the camera with a frown.
The video sputtered from black to white then Sunggyu’s proud face covered the screen once again. “Yes the leader is important no matter what people say!” Sunggyu snapped looking at the cameraman. “We are really happy to come back together after our hiatus. Please enjoy our new album that is hitting stores tomorrow. This album contains many emotions that we felt about the accident. It’s one of the most heart wrenching and personal albums we have ever released.”
Sunggyu paused as he was given the next question.
“How is my leg doing?”
And at cue Sunggyu looked down at his leg that had been to hell and back.
“After some major rest and rehab my leg is doing much better. I had my bandmates to help me too. Oh and I also had a nurse that would kill me if I gave up. It will never go back to where it was before but that doesn’t mean I can’t keep up with my members.”
Sunggyu smile dropped when the cameraman asked him one final question.
“How did the accident change me?”
For the first time the Infinite leader looked lost.
“I supposed it wouldn’t hurt if I said something,” he told the camera. “Since the accident I have accepted that as a leader I’m not invincible. Things can and will be out of my hands but what matters is I have my team behind me. As you may or may not know after this comeback I’m going to be joining the army for my mandatory two years. Most idols leaving for the army are full of nerves but I can leave peacefully because I know that Woohyun is the right replacement leader. But YAH I will be back in two years so you better not get so comfortable! You hear me NAM WOOHYUN!”
Sunggyu walked off to the member who was smirking widely as he sat in the corner of the dressing room.

The camera pointed towards another member who was busy taking photos of the room.
“Ah hello,” he placed down the camera revealing his handsome face.
“Hello I’m Myungsoo!” he smiled as he bow his head.
“What is this for?” he raised an eyebrow looking at the camera.
“Oh for our comeback stage today?” he smiled cheerfully. “What should I talk about? Oh I’m releasing a new photo essay this month! Also my first feature film was released last week. I’m actually really busy with schedules at the moment. I’m not tired though I’m really happy! Especially because we are all back together preforming.”
Myungsoo listen to the next question that was given to him.
“Ah how did things change from after the accident? Well I don’t have a stage name anymore I go by my real name Myungsoo. A lot of people thought I was really like L but L is a made up stage presence. I want people to know me by my real name and real self not that cold L. Also after the accident I,” he rubbed the back of his neck. “I took a lot of people for granted. I’m really thankful for the people who kept me on the ground and reminded me to be humble. Oh I also want to wish Jack good luck on his first ever solo album. He has become a close dongsaeng of mine and I wish him the best of luck with his solo activities.”
A man came into view of the camera but slowly backed away.
Myungsoo grabbed ahold of his arm pulling him in front of the camera. “Everybody,” he hugged the man’s arm. “This is our manager Gonam and he just got married to his lovely girlfriend last month!”
Myungsoo smiled widely as the manager shifted from foot to foot.
“Say something to her!” Myungsoo nudged him.
“Ah Minah,” he looked at the camera and gave a weak smile. “Please love me forever. I love you!
Gonam threw a heart supposedly taught by Nam Woohyun at the lense.
He then took off running as redness crept up his face.
Myungsoo laughed as he took off after the manager calling him overly sweet pet names.
“What are you doing?” Dongwoo asked and the camera turn to him.
He was wearing an arrangement of color that made Dongwoo look more like a peacock then an idol.
“Ah filming for the comeback? Anything I want to say?” Dongwoo smiled then he began to spill out his thoughts. “I’m really happy to be here after everything that happened in the past. This album has so much heart in it that it could make even an anti-fan cry. We all took part in creating this album. Woohyun and Sunggyu wrote the lyrics, Hoya and I came up with the dance and Myungsoo took the cover art. Sungyeol also came up with the concept and storyline of the music video. Oh an-“
“Dongwoo,” a voice called from off the camera.
“Doctor Woonha!” he smiled widely and beckoned him to his side. The man hesitantly joined Dongwoo side and look at the camera uncomfortably.
“This was Sungjong’s doctor,” Dongwoo added. “He is a very close friend who came down from the mountains to see our comeback. We owe him a lot.”
Dr. Woonha nodded.
“Without Dr. Woonha’s help I would have been stuck. It’s like the Korean proverb goes a rice in a picture,” Dongwoo frowned. “No wait it’s a dobboki in a picture…no rice cakes in a picture that’s the one.”
Dongwoo let out his signature laugh.
“Anyways without him I wouldn’t have been able to reach my goals and desires. Oh and Infinite loves Dr. Woonha a lot!”
Dr. Woonha couldn’t help but laugh and rub the young rapper’s head.
Within seconds Dongwoo had thrown himself onto Dr. Woonha giving him a tight hug. “Dongwoo!! Not again!”
The camera moved to another member Sungyeol who was typing on his phone.
The camera man kicked Sungyeol causing the tallest member to look up from his phone annoyed.
“Oh” he then flashed a smile. “What was I doing? It’s top secret!”
Then his face dropped.
“No I wasn’t playing video games!” Sungyeol scoffed as he crossed his arms. “I’m far too old to be playing games.”
They all knew he was lying even Sungyeol knew he was lying.
“What am I doing?” Sungyeol looked into the camera with a sly smile. “Well I was checking up on my favorite café’. It’s located o-“
Suddenly the camera began to turn away.
“YAH!” Sungyeol screamed moving the camera forcefully in his direction.
“I’m not done,” Sungyeol laughed showing off his gums.
“Did you guys know that Sungyeol raised money to pay off the café’s owner’s hospital bills?” Myungsoo said as he bent over so the camera could see him properly.
“See I’m an angel,” Sungyeol smirked.
“Yeah but he also smells really bad,” Myungsoo waved his hand in front of his face. “Oh and he also has a collection o-“
Sungyeol pounced on Myungsoo covering the visual’s mouth with his hand.
“Under...be-OUCH!” Myungsoo shouted when Sungyeol smacked his waist.
Myungsoo squeezed out of Sungyeol’s grasp and took off running.
“YAH MYUNGSOO!” Sungyeol shouted as he took off after the member.
The camera turn to the next member in the dressing room. He was sitting in the corner of the room writing something down on napkins. When the camera reached him he looked up and gave a huge smile.
“You caught me Inspirits,” Woohyun smirked as he raised his hands.
“Ahh what am I doing?” he sighed as he look down at the napkin. “Well I’m writing a love song to my girlfriends…Inspirits.” Woohyun nodded his head as he spoke. “Honestly it’s been a long time since we last saw each other. It makes me sad!”
Woohyun faked cried trying to show off his nonexistence aegyo.
“I was thinking about the fans when I suddenly had an amazing idea for a song,” Woohyun told the camera. “But please do not film this! It’s not done yet!”
Woohyun covered the napkin with his hands.
“Last words? Uhh Inspirits I love you and please wait a couple more hours! We will see each other soon! I love you!”
The camera turn to the last member who was standing next to an older man. The older man had a wide smile on his face as he showed off the Infinite gear he was wearing. He was wearing a yellow and black tee-shirt with a black Infinity symbol and a jacket with the words Infinite written on the hood. He was even wearing Infinite socks and sweatpants! In his hands were two banners the first one read:
Fighting Hoya
The second one was just a normal Infinity symbol with all the members’ names.
“You can’t wear all of that,” Hoya sighed as he pointed to the gear.
“Why not!” the man argues. “I think I look pretty cool!”
“Aish! Serio-“
Then Hoya saw the camera and he began to frown.
“Hello,” Hoya told the camera as he bowed.
“Ah who is this,” the camera man asked as Hoya looked at the man standing next to him.
“Umm this i-“
“I’m his Appa!” the man answered cheerfully. “I love you Infinite!”
Then Hoya’s Appa threw a heart making Hoya smack his forehead.
“Woohyun! Stop teaching my Appa useless things,” Hoya yelled at the member.
“But your Appa is my favorite student,” Woohyun from his seat.
“That greasy tree,” Hoya muttered as he walked off.
“Ah should I say a few words?” Hoya’s appa asked. “Firstly I’m really proud of my son and his band members. I think what he is doing is inspiring. No. What all of you are doing is a huge inspiration to people. Oh and I will forever be my son’s fan. No I’ll be his super fan! Any way’s Infinite fighting!”
Then Hoya’s Appa bow to the camera.
The camera suddenly zoomed out and started to film the dressing room in all of its chaos.
“YAH!” I lost my game because of you!” Sungyeol yelled at Myungsoo who had already running away. Unfortunately Myungsoo ran straight into Woohyun who was too busy writing lyrics to see the visual.
“AHHH!” Woohyun screamed as water spilled all over the napkins. “My lyrics!”
“Sorry hyung,” Myungsoo bow. “Sorry!”
“Don’t yell at Myungie,” Dongwoo said in a sing like voice as he skipped towards the scene. “He di-AHH!”
Suddenly Dongwoo had tripped and fallen into the sleeping Sunggyu’s lap.
Instead of waking up Sunggyu wrapped his arms tightly around the dinosaur.
“Help,” Dongwoo shouted but none of the members moved.
“HELP! I think he’s drooling on me,” the rapper whine.
“Heart,” a voice came from the door as Hoya’s appa threw a finger heart.
Hoya looked at his appa in awe than turn his attention to the greasy tree.
“YAH WOOHYUN! You taught him another heart! I’m going to kill you!” Hoya snapped as he stormed across the room.
The camera turn away from the wild scene and walked out of the room. It wasn’t till the cameraman was in an empty staircase did the cameraman stop walking.
He sat down on the steps with a loud sigh. Then suddenly the camera was turn around so the cameraman could now be viewed.
“Hello Inspirits. It’s me Lee S-Sungjong!” he said with a perfect smile.
“I worry you didn’t I? I’m a lot healthier now so please do not worry about me. I’m really ex-ex-excit-exci happy to be here! I’m so nerves ri-ri-ght now it feels l-liike I’m debuting again for the second time!”
Sungjong shook his head as he thought of the hard times he had while training. “I’ll show you guys a newer si-side of me so ple-please stay tune. Also I want to say thank you to the f-fa-fans that have stuck around. I’m really thankful towards you guys and my members for not giving up. Yes I’m really thankful. I love you Inspirits and I love you Infinite.”
“YAH LEMON CANDY!” a voice called from the stairwell. “We are starting!”
“Stop calling me that!” Sungjong snapped.
Then he turn his attention to the camera. “I love you.”
Then the tv screen in the dorm turn black as the members clapped.
“Did you see my hair,” Sungyeol scowl trying not to smile.
“You look fine!” Sora interjected patting Sungyeol’s back.
“You look like Sunggyu,” Sunhyung joked causing Sunggyu to scoffed.
“Yeah right!” Sunggyu frown.
“I can’t believe everyone is going to see my Appa throwing hearts,” Hoya muttered as he shook his head in disbelief.
“Don’t worry! We looked pretty cool!” Dongwoo pointed out.
“You looked like a child Hyung,” Myungsoo smile.
“At least I look cool!” Woohyun pointed out. “My girlfriends are dying right I can just tell!”
“Shut up you greasy tree!” Hoya snapped.
The members began to make fun of each other and Sungjong couldn’t help but smile.
Everything was finally going back to normal well if you could call this craziness normal. After months of therapy and rehab they had finally gotten their wish to return to the stage as seven.
They don’t really talk about what happen while he was in the coma but they all changed somehow as if the accident made them into someone else. Sunggyu is more caring and dare I say motherly. Woohyun doesn’t drink anymore and I’m not quite sure why but he seems to be happier. Sungyeol has finally found a girlfriend that isn’t after his fame or money. Plus I like Sora because she’s not afraid to put Sungyeol in his place. Hoya is closer to his Appa now and they even meet up every month for their annual father son lunch. Myungsoo still works a solo job but he always has break. He even had it written in his contract that he can only do a certain amount of shows and photoshoots. Dongwoo is still the crazy, loud, person who lights up the room. He’s taking side classes to become a doctor and is almost finished with his degree. After our idol career ends Dongwoo wants to open his own clinic and do what Doctor Woonha did for us for another family. For me I’m still the same person I was before the accident except for the fact that I mix up my words or I slur them together like I’m drunk. It can be quiet frustrating but the members are always patient with me. But that still doesn’t stop them from cracking jokes or being complete asses. But you know what I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I know that Infinite won’t last forever after all nothing truly does. But in this moment surrounded by my members I felt completely infinite and that is what matters.

The Real End
So there is a lot more things I wanted to write to you guys in the last chapter. So firstly I hope you guys like the real ending of the story! I can’t believe it’s all over. I mean what am I going to do with my life now? I actually came up with this story while I was staring at the Infinite poster and thinking off what I would want to tell each member. Then suddenly it turned into this story which by the way was going to be a one shot. One shot turn into a 53 chapter opps. By the way did you guys like the last chapters with the different fandoms? I wanted to include it because even though we Kpop fans fight we are still a family!
Okay I want to thank you guys from the bottom of my heart. Seriously I never really thought I was going to finish this story. I don’t think I could if I didn’t have you guys pushing me too. I’m really thankful for the up votes! Honestly you guys don’t have to up vote and I didn’t expect anyone too but wow. It made my day very special. Also thank you guys for subscribing! Although this story is ending my writing is certainly not. The next story I’m going to be writing is a 5 shot horror mystery called the Unfortunate Events of Infinite. As for making a sequel I’m not going to lie and say I haven’t thought about it. It might be a possibility but for right now I want to work on a couple of different projects. But I will keep you guys updated on it!
