Cho Kyuhyun was in trouble.

He believed that he had brain damage.

Yes, it wasn’t based on doctor’s diagnosis or result of laboratory. The rebel assumed it himself. He started to think there was something wrong with his genius brain since two days ago, the day after ‘his invasion’ into the Student Council’s meeting room. He even thought that Sungmin’s Hyung’s ‘unforgettable blow’ was the main reason of this thing happened.

That morning, when he picked up the blonde President, his eyes were starting to imagine things. He saw… some kind of lights emitted from the blonde. Even worse, he thought (and assured) that Sungmin was glowing. The blonde was freakishly beamed. And it made him more, to say the least, oh so deliciously gorgeous in the rebel’s eyes.

Kyuhyun didn’t know how it happened. He was bewitched when his body suddenly moved by itself. He was walking closer to circle his arms around the blonde’s shoulder, bending down his face a little and shortened the distance between their lips. However, his lips got rejected when Sungmin turned his head sideway. The blonde was avoiding his morning kiss even though he didn’t smoke for 3 days.

The act of neglect from the blonde didn’t stop there. Kyuhyun suspected that Sungmin was angry and purposefully avoiding him. When they were walking at the lobby, Sungmin took his hand back from his grip, marking the end of their intertwined hands that only lasted for less than a minute. At the time Kyuhyun wanted to caress his face and hair during their Biology class, Sungmin suddenly stood up and went to their teacher. Sungmin also postponed their study sessions, the only moment when they got their privacy, also the time that Kyuhyun had impatiently waited. The rebel cursed the Student Council’s meeting as it became the reason given from the President.

It was no joke. Of course Kyuhyun became frustrated and angry, because it happened just in the same time with his eyesight saw how Sungmin sparkled recently. Why Sungmin must avoid him for no particular reason when his raging hormones were craving for the blonde?

Until today, Kyuhyun confidently believed that he has great amount of luck in his life, that’s why he succeeds in gambling. However, he never felt like being so condemned with his condition right now.

! Damn it!!

He groaned, unspoken and unknown to the said blonde seating next to him. Two days torture was enough for the rebel and he wanted to confront it with Sungmin, even though the situation was not comfortable to accommodate their talk. For Kyuhyun, there were never be a right time except as soon as possible when it comes to his worry and feelings. Ten minutes before an interview with the school magazine was no exception.

Kyuhyun lifted his left arm, shifted his seating position and leaned closer to Sungmin who was reading something on his left. He placed his arm behind the blonde and moved his face to reach the other’s cheek. Before his lips met Sungmin’s smooth skin, the blonde President blocked it with a magazine.

When Kyuhyun realized he just kissed their Principal on the magazine’s cover, he let out a loud growl. Now, he totally assured that Sungmin really mad at him.

Kyuhyun lifted one leg and shifted his seating position to his left, allowing himself to face a covered side face of Sungmin entirely. The rebel took the magazine off from the blonde’s grip, rather harshly. “Okay. Talk.”

Keeping his head in straight forward direction, the blonde only glanced a little to his side. “Oh, finally you want to talk with me, not just kissing me all the time.” He replied, very much unfriendly.

Kyuhyun was startled a little bit with the blonde’s reply before he released a small chuckle. “You really surprised me. Are you sulking because I kissed you in front of everyone in the meeting room?”

The rebel leaned his left elbow on the couch’s backrest to support his head. Still focusing his attention to the blonde President, he made another small chuckle and smiled softly. “Look at me.”

Not fulfilling the request, Sungmin only leaned back on his seat and folded his arms.

Look at you… Even your beauty is still visible in your sulking mode…

Kyuhyun lips were stretched wider, he was smiling ear to ear. “Min… I definitely will kiss you roughly, right here, right now, if you’re still acting like this.”

Kyuhyun knew he finally will have a serious talk when he saw Sungmin’s eye corner became pointed. “Like what?” Sungmin challenged.

Kyuhyun rested his head and his body further into more relaxing gesture. “Like avoiding me whenever possible, talking only few important words to me, or postponed our study session.” The rebel lifted his free hand to cupped the blonde’s chin. “And… Didn’t even want to look at me in the eyes when speaking to me.” He forcefully turned Sungmin’s face towards him.

Sungmin was stubbornly keeping his stern face while Kyuhyun already made a teasing smile.

“Why do I must care about you? You made it clear when you said don’t bother about me anymore.”

The way Kyuhyun’s face went crumpled showed that he was thinking, in a very much confusion. “I said that?! When?”

Sungmin gave the other judgmental look before replied. “See… You didn’t even remember that I asked about your condition and bruised face few days ago, right after you left the meeting room.”

Oh, that time…

“Kyu-Hyung! Wait!” Sungmin was running towards Kyuhyun when the latter just left the meeting room. “My God, what happened?! Are you okay? Did you get into a fight??” The blonde asked eagerly. His worry over Kyuhyun’s condition was undeniably evident by the look on his face and gestures.

 

Sungmin’s hand was trying to reach Kyuhyun’s face when the rebel shoved it, avoiding in the process. “I’m fine. You should go back, don’t bother about me anymore.” He said before spun around and continued taking his steps.

Okay, Kyuhyun remembered it all clearly now. Yes, he did say those words. He was totally aware when he spoke and had intention to say it. But it wasn’t happened without a cause. Cho Kyuhyun had his reason why he answered that way, harsh and cold.

First, he didn’t want to make Sungmin went dramatically worried because of him. He knew how the blonde could get ‘frantic all over the places’ when he worried. Kyuhyun only had a single hard blow that led to a regular size bruised on his face. It was nothing, comparing to his condition when he had a gang fight.

Second, his meeting with Sungmin’s Hyungs, his talk with them, and how he got his bruised face from them, all of it was not for the blonde to know. It was his silent agreement with the Hyungs to keep their meeting a secret from Sungmin. Despite his antipathy and dislike towards the Hyungs, Kyuhyun appreciated Leeteuk and Kangin’s position as the blonde’s guardian and family. He wouldn’t questioned their devotion to Sungmin, also their protectiveness. Kyuhyun felt like the three of them have similarities in that sense. It was their job, even though he really wanted them to retire and gave the honor task of protecting Sungmin to him. Therefore, he could (somehow) understand if the Hyungs had done something horrible like that to him. It was a form of their protection. And of course, the rebel wouldn’t report to the blonde about it.

That was why Kyuhyun said those words to Sungmin, the kind of reply to stop the blonde elaborate further.

How am I supposed to answer when all of those were related to your Hyung?!

Kyuhyun was still thinking about the best reply when Sungmin suddenly started to speak again.

“I thought everything were fine… We had great times the night before. You asked me to stay with you, and I said yes… Next morning, you barged into the meeting room, came with a bruised face and crumpled wet clothes.” Sungmin was bowing his head a little, avoiding the other’s eyes. “What’s more? You kissed me and proudly announced to everyone that we’re together… Afterwards, you asked me not to bother you anymore…” a soft sigh was heard from the blonde. “You successfully messed up my feelings Hyung…”

If few seconds ago Kyuhyun was relaxed, right now, he was alarmed as his body straightened in his seat.

“Do you know what really amused me?” Sungmin shifted his gaze towards Kyuhyun, looking at the other once again with his foxy eyes. “The fact that I always thinking on how to get you to doctor and treat your wound defeated all my resentments to you!” with a trembling lips, the blonde still managed to finish his words.

“Are… Are you angry with me because you worried…about me?” Kyuhyun finally managed to speak something.

The blonde was frozen in his trembled state for few seconds before he bitted his lower lips and nodded slightly.

You are really too kind and adorable Min-ah…

Kyuhyun curled his lips, making a silly accomplished smile that will bring Sungmin to react something between one of the two opposite reactions. The blonde would be calm, or more annoyed by it. And being a gambler for life, Kyuhyun was gambling for the result.

When Sungmin lifted himself up from his seat within second, wanting to leave his so called boyfriend alone, Kyuhyun knew he got the latter as a result. Agile like a wolf catching his prey, Kyuhyun grabbed the blonde’s hand. “No, Don’t! Come here.” And he pulled the latter to sit on his lap.

The blonde’s eyes was bulging as he was surprised by the older’s intimate antics. He glanced down and set his eyes on his Hyung, wanting to show his objection.

Kyuhyun reached for the younger’s hands and looped it around his shoulder before looking up to meet the blonde’s mesmerizing eyes. “I’m sorry I made you worry Min-ah…”

The way Sungmin’s expression changed from irritated to a more comprehending face made the rebel formed a small smile. “I’m sorry if I’m messing up with your feelings.” He took the blonde’s right palm and glued it on his own cheek. “But believe me, I’m completely okay.” The rebel turned his head a little to smell the other’s palm hand. He inhaled the blonde’s scent and kissed his palm gently before said “I took my harsh words back.”

Sungmin was still in a frozen state. However, without voicing his reply, the blonde knew that Kyuhyun would understand what ‘receiving any kind of skinship without any protest’ means.

Trailing the blonde’s smooth fingers with small kisses, Kyuhyun continued “Forgive me Min-ah?” he said, asking for a vocal forgiveness from the younger as an assurance.

Even though his eyes were still set on the rebel, Sungmin gave the latter a silent reply.

Kyuhyun held his palm and glanced up to look at the blonde again. “Say you forgive me Min-ah…”

Feeling satisfied to let his anger out towards the other, Sungmin made a bright smile before said “I forgive you Hyung…” he laughed a little afterwards.

The way Sungmin curled his lips to laugh, and the crunchy fresh sound he made, were enough reason for Kyuhyun to release a small chuckle. And it sounded friendly, unlike his usual sneer type of laugh. “Thank you beautiful...”

How come it never feels wrong when Kyuhyun said he is beautiful despite his gender as a man? Sungmin was not offended at all, he actually like it. It was nice to hear.

“Now, can I have my late morning kiss?” the rebel’s question made Sungmin stopped in his thought.

Glancing his eyes a little at the door, Sungmin smiled before said, with a louder voice “Too bad you must wait until Lee Hyukjae is not peeking behind the door.”

What?

Kyuhyun’s confusion was answered when someone skinny, with too familiar face occurred from the said door.

“Damn! How come you always have a good ninja’s sense Lee?” he protested playfully. “I almost added my collections of you guys, the famous lovebirds.” his gummy teeth were revealed when he made a laugh afterwards.

“Okay then! So… Let’s start the interview?” Hyukjae asked while gesturing the couple to come inside a room with his head.
