Where The Lights Are

As per Heechul's panicked request, the group returned home the day after the storm. Sadly for Choaya, her hearing once again vanished after an hour. However, the hour of hearing that she had was spent making Kris do nothing but read to her. As for Heechul and his memory, Hangeng had the honor of being in the group of people that Heechul will always remember, thus causing Hangeng to go into his own mode of celebration of never getting a slap from his lover's weird brain again. The storm had wrecked a few houses, and reports said it would only get worse the next night, so the eldest finally put his foot down, and drove the group home. Now, months passed, and it was June.

"So... Mina, can I ask you a question?" Donghae suddenly broke the lunch table's silence.

"What's up?",

"What's Y's favorite kind of chocolate?" the fish nervously asked.

"Oh my god... Donghae oppa! You're so adorable! You like Y unnie, don't you!?" Mina leapt from her seat to pinch Donghae's cheeks.

"We hung out for a few hours together the night I spent at your house during the storm. We've been chatting online lately, and-",

"You have!? That's so sweet! Have you asked her out on a date yet?" Mina just couldn't help but gush over the new 'couple'.

"Well, yeah, we're gonna meet up on Saturday, so I-",

"Oppaaaaaa! Oh my gosh, you're making me have a heart attack! That's almost too adorable. I'm happy unnie is being social..." the sightless trailed off for a moment, giving Donghae time to finish his sentence.

"So, uhm... the chocolate?",

"Oh! Right! She likes white chocolate. Try to get them in heart shapes, she loves those...".

"Surprise." Donghae smiled, sweetly sneaking up the short blonde haired girl.

She clutched her chest, laughing a silent laugh.

"I brought you chocolate. Hope you like 'em." he held out the little bag of heart shaped white chocolate, tied with a yellow bow.

Y blushed, holding the gift in her palms. She was rarely flattered like this.

"So... where do you wanna go today. You're the noona, so you pick." he held her hand, chuckling when he noticed her blushing ever brighter.

She gently punched his arm at the word 'noona', and took out the much used notepad from her purse. She flipped a couple pages, and turned to one that read, 'Let's walk through the park. Tell me about life. Okay?'.

"Okay." he nodded, quickly leaning down to kiss her plushy cheek.

She slid her fingers across the area where his lips had touched, and she couldn't help but giggle.

"I say... two weeks." Yunaria nodded, throwing a ten dollar bill on top of a pile of random stolen objects.

"Heh, I say two days." Sehun huffed, tossing another ten into the pile.

"Luhan is way too much of a shy to make a move in only two days. That's just a stupid guess Sehun. You, are a stupid guess." the female twin explained and insulted.

"Hey!",

"Sehun,",

"Don't you dare!",

"you... are stupid.",

"You're a .",

"Yeah, screw you too, buddy." Yunaria flipped her brother off as she leaned against a wall, while Sehun proceeded to lean against the opposite wall and flip Yunaria off with both hands.

"What are you two doing?" Hyejeong asked, stopping at the twin's doorway and ducking down to get a good look at them, being the giant she was.

"Just betting on when Luhan will ask Mina out." Yunaria smiled, like it was normal.

"Ohhh yeah, Minaring's friend." Hyejeong nodded, processing the idea, before reaching in her pocket and pulling out a twenty and throwing it into the pile. "I give him six days.".

Mina was desperate to find Luhan, she would do anything to find that boy. The thing is, it wasn't for the sweetest reason. Choaya was at the doctor's, trying to find out more about her hearing, Kris was teaching lessons again to some kids who offered him one hundred dollars, Donghae and Y were on a date, Kibum was with his brother, etc.. It's not like Luhan was a last option, oh no, that was quite the opposite. Mina had no one to guide her to where ever the heck Luhan was, and as if the universe wanted to frustrate her even more, her phone decided to die. She was incredibly bored and wanted some human interactions, and with all the obstacles, it just plain pissed her off. So now, she was shyly sneaking around the boy's dorm, asking for directions whenever she heard a slightly familiar voice. After a very long forty-five minutes of this, Mina found herself at a room near the end of a hall, hoping it was Luhan and Donghae's. She gently nudged the door open, eyes looking straight ahead in a creepy way.

"Luhan?" she called out to the air.

"Yo, what's up Mina?" Luhan answered.

"Where are 'ya?" she laughed, relieved to be at her destination.

"On the floor." Luhan was laying on his stomach, with his chin resting on his folded arms. The June air had been killing him, and the only fan he had was tiny and only blew wind on the very low ground.

Mina chuckled, and mimicked Luhan. She bent down on her knees, and slid herself onto her belly, and held her chin with her palms. "Like this?" she pouted.

"Heh, yeah. But how'd you know it was me?",

"I can smell your cologne." she grinned, tapping his neck, where she knew he usually sprayed the scented water.

"Ah, sorry. It's really strong." he mumbled.

"No no! I've told you before, I like the smell." she assured, her smile glowing.

Luhan's breath stopped when he noticed how close Mina was. Being blind, she probably couldn't guess, and it probably wasn't her intention to be this close, but they were a mere two inches away from each other. He looked at her eyes, seeming to have sparkles in front of their warm, dark caramel color. Her smooth, slightly curled brown hair pooled around her, and the little bit of gloss on her lips made them a sunset-like hue. Her legs kicked back and forth against the air, hitting each other every now and then. In his eyes, he saw no flaws. Luhan knew that this time, there were no distractions or interruptions. No deaf girls to suddenly get their hearing, no sunburns to prohibit movement, no, everything was perfect. Nothing could stop him. He slowly inched forward, quietly, praying that Mina wouldn't flinch and laugh, or ask what was going on. Like he wanted, she stayed silent, oblivious to everything, happy to be with Luhan. He didn't even say a word, the deer boy simply leaned forward, and pressed his lips to her's.

I really hope you would consider a sequel about Seolhyun and more about her ^^ I really enjoyed this, and how they managed to get a happy ending even if she had left him and he had initially moved on ><

Chapter 24: Haha, "the author just now thought of it".
It happens so often in stories, and you notice, but at least you were honest about it!
I felt so bad for poor Donghae when he got friendzoned... But at least he's found someone new now. That was fast, by the way... Are you sure he was really in love with Mina? It took him no time at all to get over her.
