"Sungmi-ah. The results are out.." Jaein greeted you at the gate. "Let's look together!" you smiled weakly at her and followed her inside. you don't feel good about the results. you haven't studied that well since you were always tired after work.

"Myungsoo-ssi is number one again!" you heard a student say. you smiled inside, knowing he did a wonderful job again.

you scanned the paper. and your whole world fell apart when you that you went down 50 places. you sighed as Jaein's eyes widened. "Yah, let's go to the office, maybe they typed your name wrong." you shook your head and smiled weakly. "No need. I know I didn't give my best.."

you saw Myungsoo looking at you, but he walked away when you made eye contact. he's been acting cold towards you for the past few weeks. you wanted to talk to him, but he avoided you everytime. like he doesn't know you at all. like you don't exist at all. it hurts you a lot.

you didn't go to any of their band practices and gigs. Sunggyu didn't question you since he kind of knew what happened to you. but he didn't know how Myungsoo is around you at school.

"Hey? Are you okay? I've been talking here all day, and you're not listening." Jaein looked at you worriedly. Your dark circles can't be hidden with make up anymore. Your eyebags were incredibly big. You've lost weight and your skin was pale. "Yea, I'm good. School's stressing me out.."

she sighed and turned to look at you. "Sungmi-ah.. I need to tell you something.."

you smiled at her, telling her to continue.. "You see.. We're moving.. far away.." your smile slowly faded away from your face.. "For good?" she nodded slowly.

"Dad wants to put up a new business overseas, and he wants to take us with him."

"Oh.." you smiled at her, trying your best not to cry. "Don't worry, we'll go back from time to time. And there's internet! We can always catch up. Or I'll call you!" you nodded, and eventually cried.

"I'm gonna miss you!" Jaein also started crying. "I'm gonna miss you, too!"

You and Jaein spent her last days in Korea going to the mall, eating out, and just hanging out. Sunggyu accompanied you to airport to say goodbye to your best friend.
