Chapter 12
The One For Me
Narrator’s POV
Hoya saw her walk in the school’s building.
“Don’t worry too much, we’ll keep her safe.” Sunggyu patted his back as he got of the car.
“Wait hyung.”
Sunggyu looked at him.
“Please, take care of her hyung.”
Sunggyu gave him a reassuring smile.
People looked at her as she walked in the school. Some threw some rude remarks against her; some even threw crumpled papers at her.
Eunsoo tried her best to ignore everything.
Then she felt a notebook land on her shoulder. She winced.
“Arent you guys going to stop?” Someone hissed. Sunggyu gave them a look.
“Soo, let’s go.” He nodded and placed one hand on her shoulder.
“I don’t know how it all…..leaked oppa.”
Sunggyu nodded.
“Hoya’s taking care of it, don’t you worry.”
“What about his image? People would look down on the crown prince~”
“Stop worrying. Everything’s going to be okay.”
“But~”
“Eunsoo, it’s going to be fine.” Sunggyu nodded at her.
Kai parked his car. His face looked troubled. He let go of the steering wheel.
“Why are you being all so worked up?”
Why was he so angry earlier? Heck, why did he even go out of his way an helped her from those antis?
He shook his head.
“She’s a friend’s cousin Kai. She’s like a sister to you.” He chanted to himself.
Hoya’s POV
“Lee Howon, what were you thinking?!”
I looked away.
This isn’t one of my priorities right now.
“Your marriage is only days away and you do this?!”
“Son, how~”
“If you’re just going to ask me questions, please excuse me.”
“You stay right there!” I heard my father yell.
“Abeoji, you know where I stand on this issue.”
“Do you think you have a right to choose, Crown Prince? You are to lead this country! And now you’re acting recklessly!”
I looked at the window.
Eunsoo-yah, are you doing well?
“As a result of this your marriage will be moved tomorrow.”
“What?! Abeoji~”
“Please send the crown prince to his quarters!”
I looked at my mother. She just shook her head at me.
This wont do. I have to see her. I have to talk to her.
Your POV
My phone was ringing as I got out of the shower.
“Howon.” I said.
“I’m at the playground in front of your dorm.”
“Hoya~”
“Just come.”
I found him sitting on the swing, with half of his face covered by a cap.
“Are you okay?” He asked as I stepped in.
“No.”
“I’m sorry.” He said. I shook my head at him, I felt his arms around my waist.
“It hurts so much Soo, knowing that you got hurt because of me, but what can I do? I cant give you up.”
I felt tears line my eyes.
“I love you so much that I cant bear to let you go. I can give up the throne~”
“Don’t go there, Howon, please.”
“I am willing to do it.”
“No.” I let go of him.
I tried to absorb how he looked like. Just the normal Hoya, not Crown Prince Lee Howon.
“Maybe in this time we’re not meant to be.” I said.
“Eunsoo, what are you saying~”
“Maybe there’s a reason for this. It’s in our fate, we weren’t meant to be together~”
“Stop!” He shook me.
“Don’t say that!” He yelled. I felt tears fall from my eyes.
I have to do this. I have to let you go.
“Let’s break up.”
