Dara's POV

"Class. We will do now the new seating arrangement. Get your numbers here." Mr Kim said. I am excited because I want to know who is my new seatmate.

In every classroom, there are 25 students. 5 rows, 5 seats in every row. Number 1 will start from window side.

I heard whispers around. "I hope I will not be seated next to Sadako. You heard about Hyuna right? Her grades dropped after she seat near with Sadako. So she transferred to other school" someone said.

Ouch. It hurts! It's true that Hyuna is my seatmate before but I know that it's not my fault if she get a failing grades last year. I guess, it's more a family problem.

I sigh. I will try my best to get a right timing to tell them that I really can't curse people. That I am safe to be a seatmate.

I got number 16. 2nd row from last, window side.

"Omo! Sadako got number 16. I should not get number 11, 12, 17, 21 and 22" I heard someone said.

"Class. I pulled out number 21. That seat is reserved for your new classmate. You will meet him next week." Mr Kim said.

"I pity him now. Sadako is in front of him." I heard again someone said.

"Jiyong! What number did you get?" someone asked him. I look at him, also want to know what number he get. His new seatmate is so lucky.

He look at his paper then smiled at me. "Number 17" 

I am shocked. He is my new seatmate!

"What?! You are doomed! Just don't look at her eyes so you won't be cursed" someone said.

I bow my head. Trying to hold back my tears. That so mean. I can't curse anyone.

"Idiot! I already said that she can't curse anyone. Maybe you are the one who can curse." he said then laugh. Others are now laughing too. Jiyong really know how to lighten the atmosphere.

Then I saw Bom and ChaeRin coming to my direction.

"Got number 11" Bom said then grinned at me.

"Got number 12" ChaeRin said. 

My eyes widened! I am glad! Really glad that Bom, ChaeRin and Jiyong are my new seatmate. I know that they don't believe in all rumors around me.

"Hey SeungHyung! What number did you get?" Bom asked him.

"Number 22" I look at him and saw him doing a high-five thing with Jiyong. After all, they are bestbuddies and members of our school's baseball team.

"Alright. You are done now in new seating arrangement. Class dismissed." Mr Kim said then left.

After a while, "Ahm...Bom....ChaeRin..." they turn around to look at me. "Here" I handed a small bag containing home-made cookies."I baked some. These are for you as thanks for letting me play the ghost in our Courage Test."

They were surprised. "Really?!" Bom said. Touched by my gesture. I nodded. "Thank you Sadako!"

"You made this?" ChaeRin asked. I nodded again. 

"Delicious!" Bom and ChaeRin said together after tasting my cookies. 

"Thank you" I bow my head. I am really happy.

"Hey. What about me?" I heard Jiyong said. When I look at him, I saw him pouting but smiling. My heart suddenly stop. He is so  cute! Erase. Erase. What am I thinking?! I search my bag then handed him a small bag with cookies. Of course, I made some for him too.

He is now smiling widely. "Thank you Dara!"

"How about me?" I heard SeungHyun said. Crap! I forgot to make some extras. I look at him and was about to say sorry but Jiyong gave him some cookies. "Here"

SeungHyung chuckled then said. "Thanks"

I look to all of them. SeungHyun, Bom, ChaeRin and Jiyong. Silently saying my thanks to them. They are such a great people.

After all classes ended, I am now exiting our school then I heard someone calling my name. "Dara!"

It's Jiyong, with his bike. He stare at me. Then I felt my cheeks burned.

"You're not crying. I'm glad!" he said then waved at me "I'll go ahead now. See you tomorrow" 

After he left, I sigh. He really knew how to break down my wall. He will just do it by his beautiful smile. But my heart, it's still beating so fast. My admiration and respect for him grown bigger. I just can't name it yet. But I'm loving this feeling!

Then, I saw some silhoutte leaving. It's seems that she saw what happened just a while ago. I know her! It's just that I forgot her name.
