The next day at school, Reii looked up from her book when the teacher entered. *Strange, he didn’t say hi to me today.* Reii turned to her left but the desk was empty. *He didn’t come to school today?* Reii frowned at the sight but nonetheless turn back and faced the front to listen to class.

It was then time for lunch break. Reii walked out of the classroom and waited at the side for Doojoon. *Why isn’t he out yet?* Reii looked back into the empty classroom.

*Oh right, he wasn’t in school today* Reii walked alone to the cafeteria to buy a sandwich for herself before heading towards the field.

She was sitting alone on the bench eating her sandwich. She looked at the empty space beside her and couldn’t help but thought. *Im finally alone and is having some peace now but why do I feel so empty like the field in front of me?* she let out a sigh before she took a bite on her sandwich again.

*Why didn’t he come today? Is he sick? Is it because of yesterday?* Reii pondered and felt guilty about it.

It was the last lesson of today and Reii was staring outside the window. The day was going really slow for her. it had been awhile since she felt this way. The first time it happened was when the day Doojoon first made declaration to be her best friend. She had to admit that this time the time was passing slow because Doojoon wasn’t here in school today.

‘Reii’ the teacher called out. Reii looked away from the window and faced the teacher.

‘Since you’re so free to look outside the window, you should be free to send the homework to Doojoon after school right?’ the teacher continued. But before Reii could say anything, the teacher passed Doojoon’s homework to Reii along with his address on a piece of paper.

‘Class dismiss’ the teacher said just as the bell rang and left afterwards. Reii had no choice but to send the homework to Doojoon’s house.

Reii walked out of school and walked towards the address given by teacher. She looked around and made a few turns before she finally found the address stated on the paper.

‘Ding Dong! Ding Dong!’ the door bell rang. Doojoon woke up by the sound of the door bell and took a look at his clock. It was then that he realized that he had overslept and missed school today. He stood up and felt his head feeling heavy. He giddily walked out of his room and towards the door. His head was spinning but he managed to walk to the door. He gathered all the strength he could muster and open the door. He focuses his eyes and saw Reii standing in front of him.

‘Reii?’ he said surprised.

‘Im here to give you your homework. Here.’ Reii said as she passed it to him. Doojoon was about to take the homework from Reii when he felt he couldn’t concentrate anymore. Reii saw Doojoon collapsing and quickly held her hands out to prevent him from falling onto her. Although she managed to stop them from collapsing onto the floor, she didn’t managed to hold onto Doojoon completely since he was much heavier than her.

‘Doojoon, Doojoon?’ Reii called out and tried to shake him but there was no reaction from him.

*Why is he so hot?* Reii quickly took one hand to touch his forehead while trying to hold Doojoon with the rest of her body weight. *He’s having a fever!* Reii grew alarmed when she touch his forehead. She was guilty now. Reii believed that he caught that fever because of her yesterday. Reii tried her best and pulled Doojoon into the house after closing the door behind and placed him on the bed which she assume was his bedroom.

Reii took a cloth from the toilet and wet it before returning to Doojoon’s room and placed it on top of his head. *Medicine, I need to get him to eat medicine but judging from the situation, it is impossible for him to take it now since he could’ve an empty stomach*Reii went to the kitchen to cook some porridge for Doojoon so that he could have it before taking his medicine.

After awhile, Reii walked back to the room with a bowl of porridge in hand. She placed the bowl of the porridge on the desk before calling Doojoon up. ‘Doojoon, doojoon?’ Reii tried waking Doojoon up. Doojoon tried to open his eyes when he heard somebody called him. He saw Reii in front of him. ‘Get up and have some porridge before you take your medicine.’ Reii said as she tried to help up sit up.

She took the porridge from the table and began to feed Doojoon the porridge. She blew lightly to cool down the porridge before placing it near his mouth. ‘Its hot, be careful’ Reii said. Doojoon stared at the Reii in front of him, he couldn’t believe that Reii was being so caring to him. Doojoon hesitated before eating the porridge.

After finishing the bowl of porridge, Reii handed Doojoon the medicine and water. She then helped him lay back down to rest. ‘Rest’ Rei said and took the towel before leaving. Doojoon grabbed onto Reii’s hand and Reii stopped on track. ‘Don’t worry, Im not leaving. Im just going to wet the towel again.’ Reii assured Doojoon before heading towards the toilet.

Although Doojoon felt all dizzy and horrible because of the fever, he couldn’t help but feel his heart being warm up and happy because of Reii. *She care for me* If it wasn’t because of the fever Doojoon would be jumping up and down now. Reii came back and placed the towel on Doojoon’s forehead again while Doojoon watch her every move.

Reii close the door and walked out of Doojoon’s house when Doojoon was asleep. She had made sure that his fever had gone down before leaving.
