Kyungsoo shot up from his chair in an instant. Sehun threw a quick glance at him. The tall student did not feel any remorse about telling on his secret. It needed to be done.

“What did you just say?!” Chanyeol shouted all shocked and held his phone close to his face to stare at the other two.

Kyungsoo quickly walked up to Sehun and snatched his phone to turn it off.

“Why? Why did you do that?” he asked, trembling all over his body.

Sehun lowered one corner of his lips and lifted his head with a determined expression. He was not apologizing, nor would he feel the need to explain why he had done it. Sehun simply had enough of Kyungsoo suffering on his own. It was not fair.

“Why did you do that?!” Kyungsoo yelled at him and pushed him back harshly, making Sehun stumble backwards and fall on the bed.

The sheets beneath him rustled, as Sehun straightened himself up, but he kept sitting on the bed. He looked at Kyungsoo, who had become all red in the face because of anger and the feeling of betrayal. The atmosphere among them had changed. It had become all tense.

“I trusted you…” Kyungsoo finally added, still angry, but sadness took over his emotions, “I really trusted you with this…”

Sehun sighed, got up and walked towards Kyungsoo. He stood still straight in front of him and put his hand on the shoulder of his friend. He stayed silent for a while and watched him. Kyungsoo did not brush his hand off, he had clenched his fists and lowered his head. His heart raced, his limbs shivered, and his pulse went crazy. Kai knew now about his feelings. Simple as that, his secret had been revealed. What if the sun-kissed boy no longer wanted to be friends with him? What would the others think of him? How could he live with his secret being uncovered?

“I know I promised you that I won’t tell on your secret.” Sehun admitted with a low voice after some time, “But I can’t stand seeing you hurt like this. I don’t know why it bothers me that much. I just want to see you happy too…”

Kyungsoo lifted his head and looked the taller student in the eyes. It was weird standing up this close to him. They had been good friends for years now, they had done so many presentations and studied together for exams and all, of course most of the time Baekhyun was with them, but now they were alone. It felt different. Kyungsoo knit his brows and stepped back a little to have a better sight at him.

“Sehun… do you like me?” he asked.

He referred to more than friendship. Sehun looked at him with a blank yet a little irritated expression. He then shook his head from left to right and smiled.

“I’m glad you asked though. If questions like this bother you, you should be honest about it and just ask.” he answered and scratched his head, “See? You should talk to Kai about your feelings too.”

Kyungsoo shook his head from left to right. He told Sehun that he did not want to confess anymore, since he knew that Kai liked someone else. He merely needed some more time to get over him. Yes, it hurt a lot, yes, the boy had mental breakdowns repeatedly, but still, he rather would have kept it a secret until his feelings for the sun-kissed boy altered. Sehun sighed again then he asked Kyungsoo about the new piece he was composing. It was a great way to change the topic and lighten up the atmosphere between them. Kyungsoo picked up his sheets and showed them to him, then Sehun took it and walked to the piano in the corner of the room and sat down. He read the title ‘It’s Love’, put the sheets above the keyboard and started playing. Kyungsoo sat back on his chair and watched him, skillfully move his hands and fingers. Sehun was not as good as the other boys, but he knew how to play the piano. He pressed some wrong keys now and then and made Kyungsoo chuckle.

“That’s all I can do.” Sehun said and stuck out his tongue, “I think you should play this song on a guitar. It would suit it better.”

He took the sheets, got up and gave them back to Kyungsoo. He shrugged while suggesting it with a blank expression. The sheets rustled as he handed them over to his friend. Sehun did his best to distract him more and more. Kyungsoo tilted his head and glanced at the sheets, then he grabbed the guitar that was leaning on his desk and tried to play it. Sehun put his hands in his pockets and stood there next to his friend, listening to the strings he pulled. The melody was beautiful, and it definitely suited the guitar for the better. Kyungsoo started smiling as he continued, suddenly he seemed to be the happiest person ever. As if he never had gone through heartbreak only minutes ago. Sehun blushed a little to the sight of the happy guitarist. He quickly looked away and nodded with his head to the melody.

When Kyungsoo was done playing, he sighed and carefully put the guitar away. He laughed and stretched his arms.

“Well, seems like you were right.” he admitted and yawned, “I gotta compose something new now, after all I’m going to play the piano tomorrow. Not the guitar.”

He chuckled due to feeling frustrated about the fact that he needed to come up with something new. Sehun looked at him with a blank expression. Then he lied down on Kyungsoo’s bed, while the latter gave his best to come up with something new. Sehun scrolled through his social media, noticed that their friends had sent him private messages, so that Kyungsoo would not see it. They were curious about it. Sehun ignored them all. He did not want to get more involved to it. From now on it was all up to Kyungsoo.

Baekhyun left the bathroom with a toothbrush in his mouth. He stopped brushing when he noticed that he was alone in the room. He looked around but Sehun was not to be seen. Baekhyun got confused that his roommate was not here. When he checked his phone, he nearly chocked on the toothpaste.

“What the…” he whispered, took out the brush from his mouth and read Chanyeol’s message out loud, “Did you know that Kyungsoo liked Kai? Sehun knew it all along… Did he tell you about this at some point?”

Baekhyun sighed. No, he was not told, he just accidentally had heard over their conversation. Thus, he did not want to reveal it to anybody else, since it was a secret between them. He texted back and then Baekhyun dialed Sehun’s number. The tooting went for several minutes, before his best friend on the other side of the line finally picked up.

“Yah. Aren’t you coming home?” Baekhyun asked and brushed his teeth every time when Sehun talked back, “Uh. Uh. Okay, I don’t want to stay alone… What? No! I can’t invite him over.”

Baekhyun had blushed because Sehun suggested that he should call Chanyeol over. His best friend laughed at the other side and mocked him about it.

“You seem to be in a good mood. I wonder why.” Baekhyun stated and smiled then he said goodnight and they hung up.

The skilled pianist scrolled through the university’s chat, he was still brushing his teeth, and checked all the messages that were sent back and forth in one day. The students had broken their own record for sure. The gossip was indefinite. Chanyeol and he had been careless. Chen and Xiumin were in a relationship for five months and still no one except their friends knew about it. They were totally on edge and really careful.

Baekhyun went back to the bathroom and spat out the toothpaste and rinsed. He put on some lotion and other skincare products before he finally went to bed. Then suddenly his phone rang, it was Chanyeol. He clenched his device and picked up right away.

“Hm?” he answered.

And he instantly blushed to the words of his newly-made boyfriend. Chanyeol had asked him if he could come to the dorm and stay overnight.

Taemin scratched his head and fell back on his bed. He was feeling uneasy about what his roommate had told him. A close friend that liked Kai? The sun-kissed waiter had exclusively male buddies, so this meant another guy was interested in him. This should and could not be real. Taemin’s mind was a roller coaster.

Minho was in his bed and texted back and forth with someone. He would not tell the others about the person he was texting with a lot lately. Jonghyun had cleaned up the mess his roommate and Kai had made, polished the pedals and legs of his piano and hummed a beautiful melody to it. When he was done, he stretched and yawned.

“If this happens again, you guys can move out.” he warned his roommates who were both somewhere else with their thoughts.

Jonghyun giggled to the sight of them. He put away the cleaning tools, washed his hands, and then he approached Taemin. He took place on his bed, which was set with tidy sheets and blankets, and patted his leg. The handsome player had covered his eyes with his forearm. Jonghyun knew that the information he gave his friend would stir something up in him. Taemin would hate the idea of losing Kai to someone else. To another guy. This meant competition, and he was not having it at all. Jonghyun was sure of it, because he knew that his roommate was totally head over heels for the junior. Taemin’s only issue was that he did not believe in love. He had gotten into all his previous relationships, because he just wanted to have with the girls. Never would he think of them ever again the next day. But this time, he had slept with another guy and that person was still stuck in his mind. Not only his head, but also his heart were affected by the junior. Taemin just needed to accept the fact that he liked another guy.

“Taeminnie?” Jonghyun patted his leg again, “You don’t want to be just friends with him, right?”

Minho glanced at them and quickly sat up on his bed. He nodded to Jonghyun’s words, as he agreed with the lyrical genius. Taemin uncovered his eyes and sat up too. He sighed and bit his lips.

“It’s just… He’s a boy…” Taemin finally said and buried his face in his hands.
