Kyungsoo and Sehun looked for Baekhyun in the university building, but they could not find him. Their friend had skipped chemistry class after he had excused himself for the restroom, which was unusual to him. Tuesday was the weekday where the three friends had several hours of this course, because there were presentations by the students.

“Where did he go?” Kyungsoo asked a little worried, “It’s the second time he disappears on us.”

Sehun shrugged. Wherever his roommate was, he trusted him not to do stupid things. The tall student prefered to care for Kyungsoo, since he was more in need of it. At least that is what Sehun thought.

“Sehun?” Kyungsoo asked after some time, while they were on their ways home, “Do you pity me?”

Sehun stood still. He put his hands into his pockets and sighed, making Kyungsoo tilt his head in curiousness.

“I’m afraid that you’ll do something stupid.” he admitted without hesitation, “I’m scared that your situation with Kai-”

Kyungsoo cut his words instantly: “I’m okay. Don’t worry about me. I’m coping with it in my own way.”

“What’s your way then? Skipping courses because you can’t handle seeing him at the university? Crying all alone at home?” Sehun asked harshly and raised his head with a lifted brow, “You don’t have to be strong on your own. If you want to yell at him, just do it. Don’t act like it’s not hurting you.”

He was concerned and crossed his arms. Kyungsoo gulped in silence. He was hurt by Sehun’s words. He lowered his head and was not able to give his friend a reasonable answer. Sehun approached Kyungsoo and placed his hand on top of his head. He patted him with a gentle smile.

“I’ll be there for you, whenever you need me. So, if you feel depressed or sad, don’t hesitate to call me.” Sehun told him and added, “You are dear to all of us, so don’t feel lonely just because Kai has someone else in his heart.”

Kyungsoo tried hard to hold back his tears and Sehun noticed of course. The taller student sighed, grabbed the wrist of his friend, and pulled him for a warm hug once again. He kept his arms tight around Kyungsoo’s body. He felt bad and sorry, yet there was not more he could do for him. His heartbroken friend gulped and managed not to cry. It was the first time Kyungsoo could suppress his tears. He suddenly felt a little stronger about this matter. Was it thanks to Sehun or was he slowly getting over Kai?

“I told you if you want to cry just do it. Don’t hold it in. Scream, shout and throw punches.” Sehun added to his hug and then let him go, “Do you wanna come over to our room and stay with Baekhyun and I today? You could play the piano together and I’ll watch you.”

Kyungsoo knit his brows as he was not sure about it. He did not want to disturb their privacy. He prefered to stay at his own place, thus he declined and Sehun accepted his decision without further ado. But the taller student added that he would call him later the night for a talk, just to check up on him. Kyungsoo shook his head with a laugh.

Kai took a step back behind the counter and knit his brows in worry. Jungah had never slapped anyone before. He had not once seen her like this either. His sister frowned at the handsome senior and walked up to him. She put her hands on her waist and stared Taemin right in the dark eyes.

“I don’t know why you are yelling in my café, but I ask you to stop.” she commanded with a stern expression and added, “And let me tell you this, don’t you dare to pull my little brother like that ever again! I will beat the crap out of you myself if he gets hurt. I don’t care if you are his senior.”

Taemin still caressed his cheek and looked at her with lowered brows. He seemed shocked, not angry. He remained silent, threw a quick glance at the sun-kissed boy, and slowly nodded to Jungah’s words.

“I need to talk to him…”, the senior said with a low voice, “It’s really urgent. I’m sorry about my behavior…”

Kai’s expression changed from worried to confused. Jungah put her hand on the handsome player’s shoulder, and then she smiled at him. Simple as that, she was the most forgiving person the young waiter had ever known. Kai was not surprised by her sudden change of mood. She turned away and asked the guests to please take seat again and not to worry, since she had cleared the commotion. The girls from the faculty kept texting. Some guys whispered among them and looked at the two students. They expected something else to happen any time soon. The atmosphere between the senior and junior was still tense. Taemin glanced at Kai once again. When their eyes met, the handsome player instantly looked away. Kai watched him from behind the counter. Taemin put his hands back into his pockets and approached the door, but then suddenly he turned around and walked to the counter, making the sun-kissed waiter step back lightly. Jungah had an eye on the senior, she attentively watched him from the tables, ready to kick him out if he did something else that would bother her brother. Taemin sat on the stool, leaned over the counter, and tapped his fingers on the surface of it, trying to make Kai focus on him, but the sun-kissed junior stayed back as he did not want to get involved with the handsome player again. He turned away, picked up the cups he had dropped earlier and put them inside the dishwasher. He would do anything to avoid talking to Taemin.

“I- I’m sorry.” the senior apologized hesitantly and kept tapping his fingers nervously to make Kai look at him, but he was ignored, “I didn’t mean to hurt you… It’s just that… I’m not made for relationships.”

Taemin sighed and leaned back. He waited for a response but got none. He kept silent for a while, but then, out of the blue, he ordered orange juice and made Kai prepare it for him without a single word. The good-looking waiter was still upset. Yes, he was hurt before.
