The sunset had turned the daylight into darkness. Baekhyun and Sehun had accompanied Kai to their dorm. The seniors were living two floors above. Back in the café, they had talked over the next step to take for their waiter-friend, but they were insecure about it. The senior’s room was considered as the dangerous zone. It could lead to instant defeat, if Kai showed up there and chickened out on the challenge. But if the younger student managed to lure the senior to the point that he admitted defeat, Kai would win. There was a possibility to avoid landing inside the den of the devil. There was a small chance to make the senior admit defeat before landing in his bed. Kai exclusively needed to make his heart skip a beat and then get away quickly.

“Alright, they are staying in room…”, Baekhyun told his friend and gave it a short thought, “Room number 208.”

Sehun confirmed it with a neat nod. Kai confidently nodded too.

“Don’t take it too far…”, Baekhyun added caring, “Remember, you came just to get his confession. Crush his ego before he gets the chance to do it with you.”

The sun-kissed student shook his head again and took a deep breath. When he wanted to leave, Sehun suddenly grabbed his arm.

“Just in case…”, he said with a deep voice and cleared his throat, “Take this.”

He put foil in Kai’s palm and looked away. Baekhyun blushed slightly with an awkward smile. The distressed waiter took a glance at the foil in his hand and instantly his face turned red beneath his mask. It was a row of sealed condoms. His hand started to shiver, and his heartbeat became faster.

“I’m- I’m not telling you to use them tonight…”, Sehun added awkwardly, “I- I just don’t want you to get yourself in trouble… After all, senior Taemin’s very active… I don’t need you to catch diseases…”

Xiumin feared that the messages would put pressure on their friend. Chen added a thumbs up to the words of his boyfriend and Baekhyun informed them about Kai being on his way up. Sehun added a heart to the info. Kyungsoo did not respond. He did not see the messages either, at least it was all unread by him, when Sehun checked.

“Have you heard anything of Kyungsoo today?” Sehun asked his roommate after a while.

Baekhyun looked up from his phone and shook his head after giving it a brief thought. He then pursed his lips and checked social media.

“I think Kyungsoo likes someone among our friends.” he assumed unexpectedly and glanced at his roommate to check his reaction.

Sehun rolled his eyes and escaped the curious glances of his best friend. He did not want to add anything to this topic. Kyungsoo’s secret was safe with him. It had to be. Baekhyun pouted disappointed.

“Do- Do you like Kyungsoo?” he suddenly asked and crossed his arms.

Sehun lifted a brow and looked at Baekhyun all confound about the sudden question. He got up and put his hand on top of his roommate’s head to pat him.

“I think you should stop forcing yourself to like me.” he finally said and sat back on his bed, “Just admit that you like Chanyeol.”

Baekhyun was caught off guard and blushed. His eyes doubled in size as he felt exposed.

“You know, I’m observing you guys since our freshmen years.” Sehun added and leaned back on his bed, “You stopped attending the piano lessons because you developed feelings for him. Because he is clingy and foolish around you.”

Baekhyun stepped back, tightly holding onto his phone between his palms. He did not know how to respond. He never wanted this to be unveiled.

“Don’t worry.” Sehun added and closed his eyes tiredly, “I won’t tell him, but you should.”

Jonghyun sat beneath the lamp on the wooden bench in the park of their dormitory. Bugs were circling the light as he breathed in the clean night air, filling up his lungs and making him feel alive. He wondered how Minho was doing. Then he spotted Baekhyun, Sehun and Kai, who entered the building. He sighed, as he felt bad that the junior had actually turned up to meet Taemin. But right now, Jonghyun had another matter he had to take care of. After about fifteen minutes the one he was waiting for finally arrived.

“Hello.” Suho greeted him with a calm expression and sat on the bench right next to him.

Jonghyun nodded in response. He did not want to drag the conversation too much. This was an unpleasant situation for Suho, and he was pretty aware of that.

“There’s this junior of mine… Soo, I mean Kyungsoo.” Jonghyun explained while Suho attentively listened to his words, “He likes one of his friends… No, this is not the right term. He loves him.”

“You want me to talk to him?” he asked and leaned back on the bench, “What irony…”

Jonghyun clasped his fingers and placed his forearms on his legs, while he bent forth. They sat next to each other in silence for a split second. Suho looking up to the night sky, Jonghyun fixing his eyes on the gravel ground.

“Where does he live?” Suho finally wanted to know, “I’ll talk to him.”

Jonghyun sighed in relief and told him the address. Then his phone rang. It was Key. The blonde senior hesitated but he picked up. Key wanted to know where he had been, as he was waiting for him, because he had told him that he would stay at his place tonight.

“Uh. I’m on my way.” Jonghyun answered, not mentioning that he had met up with Suho.

“Still having something going on with Kibum, huh?” Suho asked and got up from the bench, “I’ll be going now.”

Jonghyun nodded and the other student walked away, with his hands stuck in the pockets of his jacket.

These two used to be close friends. But one day, Suho had confessed and Jonghyun had rejected him, because he was flirting with Key. Their friendship had crumbled upon this and since then they had stopped talking to each other.
