Kyungsoo entered the university building slightly nervous, a little bit uneasy. Suho had made sure the boy stepped inside for real. When he saw the junior approach the auditorium, he attended his own classes. Kyungsoo was late, but there was still about fifteen minutes left that he could attend. When he walked in, Baekhyun and Sehun instantly looked up and exchanged glances. Kyungsoo excused his way up to the boys in the back row and took place next to Sehun, like he usually did. Baekhyun smiled at him, while the other one sighed in relief. They did not exchange any words. The professor would scold them if they did.

When the chemistry course was over, all the students hurried outside. This was one of the toughest subjects, and they were happy when it was finally over. Baekhyun collected his utilities and stuffed them in his bag, while Kyungsoo had already gotten up and walked outside. Sehun grabbed his stuff and instantly followed his friend. Baekhyun pouted, yet he hurried to catch up on them.

“Kyungsoo!” Sehun called for his friend and grabbed his wrist to make him stop moving, “Are you alright?”

The shorter student turned around and nodded with a fake smile. His eyes told another story though, and Sehun noticed of course. He instinctively pulled the boy over and hugged him tight again. When Baekhyun exited the auditorium, he stood still and watched them a few steps from afar. Kyungsoo lifted his head up to not bury his face in the chest of the tall student.

“I’m glad you are alright.” Sehun admitted in relief and sighed again, “I was afraid that you…”

Kyungsoo shook his head and pushed him away. He glimpsed to the left as he wanted to escape Sehun’s eyes, but then he looked back and frowned at him.

“Did you tell Suho about me and… and Kai?” he asked a little furious.

Sehun lifted his brow and blinked several times as he had no idea why he would think like that of him. He shook his head from left to right and said that he kept his secret and that he should not worry. Kyungsoo crossed his arms and was curious about the one who had sent Suho to him. Sehun put his palm on the head of his friend and patted him like a little child.

“Stop worrying…” he said and pulled his arm back, “I won’t tell anybody. I promise.”

Kyungsoo nodded thankfully, and together they walked down the hallway towards the canteen to meet up with the other boys.

Baekhyun was startled. He had overheard them accidentally. He suddenly felt bad about all the moments they had sat together and planned out Kai’s next steps. All the time when Kyungsoo had remained silent because he actually liked Kai. Baekhyun felt stupid that he had not noticed earlier.

Taemin wiped the blood off his lips again and picked up the headset that had fallen to the ground thanks to Minho’s punch. The charismatic senior frowned at his roommate. Minho was disappointed and angry. He had hoped that Kai would be the one that Taemin accepted finally, but he was mistaken. His handsome friend was still the same shameless heartbreaker.

“I don’t get it.” the charismatic student finally said and clenched his fists, “I really don’t get it.”

Taemin looked at him and flared his nostrils. He then knit his brows too.

“Well, he’s cute but it annoys me. And he asked for it.” Taemin admitted and stepped towards Minho, “He told me to show him how to be a player. We got both what we wanted.”

Minho cracked his neck and rolled his eyes, as he became more upset about it.

“You idiot! You really don’t know how to treat people!” he yelled at his friend, “You can’t use them for your benefits, you can’t just them and drop them the other day! You can’t keep this up!”

Taemin escaped his eyes from his charismatic roommate and turned away without a word. Minho grabbed his wrist to make him stop escaping.

“For once, be honest to yourself. Are you addicted to , or are you afraid of becoming the one who will get hurt in the end?” the charismatic senior asked and harshly added, “You are afraid that karma will hit you back one day, aren’t you? You like Jongin, but you rather hurt him because you are afraid to get hurt by him.”

Taemin sighed and brushed off his hand carefully. He did not wish to argue with his roommate because of another person he had brought home to sleep with. He did not want to make a fuss about it either. He went inside and got back to playing online games. Minho shook his head and slammed the door. Then he left his reckless friend on his own and went back to school. Taemin leaned in on his seat and looked at the ceiling. He put down his headset and covered his eyes with his forearm.

“…”, he whispered and flared his nostrils in distress.

He remained like this for about ten minutes. Then he jumped up, quickly changed into his clothes, grabbed his bag and hurried outside.

The boys sat in the canteen and expected their sun-kissed friend all excited. They were curious on a large scale. Chanyeol had told them beforehand that he met Kai earlier the day and that the he was happy because he won. Little did he know that Kai’s mood had changed for a whole.

“Did you notice any marks on his neck or something like that?” Chen asked their playful friend and giggled, “Do you think they did it?”

Xiumin pinched his arm to make him stop asking such questions. Chanyeol shook his head as he had not seen anything like that at all. The sun-kissed boy was wearing his jacket all tight and fully zipped. While they were talking, Kyungsoo and Sehun approached them.

“Where’s Baekhyun?” Chanyeol instantly noticed that he was missing and looked over their shoulders.

Sehun turned around and finally noticed that his best friend was not with them anymore. Kyungsoo shrugged and sat next to Xiumin.
