Jieun carefully untangled herself from the blanket and Jihoon’s arm which was slung over her, and slowly sat up, wanting to make some coffee to get her much needed energy for the day. They’re supposed to go to the hotel by noon to get checked in, and the entire crew is supposed to arrive in three groups by 6pm.

“Hmmm….stay…”

Jihoon drawled, enclosing her in his arms. She fell back on the bed, wrapped in Jihoon’s arms. He was still half asleep, and Jieun found it funny because between the two of them, he rarely sleeps in.

“I guess I’m rubbing off on him, haha!” she thought, a smile forming on her lips.

“Oppa…it’s past 8:00...I’d love to stay in bed with you but we need to prepare our things.”

He responded with a lazy hum, holding on to her tighter, this time looking at her, his eyes still heavy with sleep.

“I don’t want to do anything else. All I need is you… and this bed…” There was a naughty glint in his eye which she’s gotten familiar with these past two days. “What have you done to me, Jieun?”

She chuckled but couldn’t help but blush. They barely went out in their last 36 hours in L.A, but she isn’t complaining because those hours were glorious. She’s dated before and had her share of intimacy, but being with Jihoon was different. He tells her exactly how much he wants her, but he’s also tender and affectionate. It wasn’t just , he was making love to her. It was strange because she never thought being intimate with someone would make her feel so safe and secure, but being with Jihoon made her feel that.

She felt her cheeks grow hotter with every thought. Trying to shake those thoughts away and focus on what has to be done, she reminded Jihoon that they have to get checked into the hotel before everyone arrives.

“Arassoooo.” A bright smile broke out on his face before he planted a kiss on her lips. “Let’s get some coffee and breakfast then.”

Walking hand in hand, Jihoon led her to a café.

“Pancakes sound good?” He asked.

“I’m not really hungry but I need coffee.”

Jihoon stopped dead on his tracks and faced her.

“Yah, you shouldn’t skip meals. Especially not when I’m around. You’re having breakfast.” His lower lip jutted a little while scolding her, repeating how she doesn’t eat properly.

She couldn’t help but grin at how Jihoon acts so concerned about her eating habits. He scoffed when she pinched both of his cheeks.

“I’m not kidding. If there’s anything I’d do when I’m with you, it’s to feed you good food.”

“Arasso..I’m easy to convince. I’m actually craving for your garlic abalone rice.”

He gave her one of those wide smiles that reached his eyes, making them look smaller. The smile that made Jieun feel like it’s spring and all the flowers are in perfect bloom.  This was later on replaced with a teasing look.

“Yeah, you told me that when you were drunk in Hongkong.”

Jieun’s face darkened. She didn’t want to be reminded of that embarrassing event.

“Oppa, did you reallly have to remind me that?” She crossed her arms, looking playfully sullen. “What else did I do? I remember bits and pieces but…”

“I’m going to tell you, but we need to get you fed first.”

“Fine, fine…if you’re so persistent.” She said, smiling at Jihoon’s overt concern for her health.

When Jihoon got back to their table with food, her eyes widened because it didn’t look like food for two people. He ordered pancakes, bacon, eggs, fruits and a big bowl of salad.

“Oppa, can we finish all this?”

“Of course, because you’re going to help me.”

She stole glances at him enjoying his food and it actually worked up her appetite.  When they finished eating (they miraculously finished everything he ordered!) and were having coffee, Jieun prodded him about Hongkong.

“Which parts do you remember?”

When a big grin broke out on his face, she could tell that her face has betrayed her again. She wanted to choose her words carefully and not tell him that most of her memories was of the two of them making out for the first time, but it seemed like her face already gave her away.

“Ah..you remember that part.” He said, a gleeful look stamped on his face as he sipped from his cup of coffee.

“Not only that…I remember calling you and Inna but not the details. Did I say weird stuff?”

He put his hand on top of hers and replied. “No..you were surprisingly very sweet. You told me things you never spoke of when you were sober; and we weren’t exaclty in good terms then.”

“So I told you I missed your cooking?”

“Yeah, garlic abalone rice, to be exact.”

She grinned.

“What else?”

“Well..you told me you even missed exercising with me, which I found strange haha!”

“Well, when we weren’t speaking I did miss even just spending time with you. Like this. Not having anything planned, but just spending the day together.”

He gave her hand a squueze.

“Me too.”

They shared a look that spoke volumes about how they felt about each other…it was as if they were the only ones in that café.

After finishing their breakfast, they took a leisurely walk. Jihoon mentioned it will help with digestion, to which Jieun laughed. She told him how he often drops fitness and health tips out of nowhere and it’s funny, which he didn’t agree with at all.

“You should be thankful that I take care of my health well, Jieun.”

“I mean..yeah, I guess. I hope you rub off on me. I usually take things like that for granted.”

Jihoon spotted an empty bench in the park where they were walking towards and led them there. Finally sitting down, he continued their conversation.

“It just occurred to me these past few days that I’m glad that I am health conscious. You’re what…10 years younger?”

Jieun nodded, not sure where he’s going with this, but he let him continue.

“And..I dunno…It just occurred to me that one of the reasons that I do that is for me to enjoy being a singer and performer for a very long time. And to spend a l

Chapter 68: Thank you, thank you! From the bottom of my heart ♥️ This story was so beautifully written that whenever I see Rain or IU elsewhere I think of your story. I love it to bits! Your story kept me up reading till early morning, got me all giddy and then sad. I enjoyed every moment of it.
Can’t believe you are going to write a sequel, I’m happy because I get to read more of their sweetness… but your warning of it being lots of angst is scaring me. My heart can’t handle much ok?! However, I believe you will do it amazingly. The angst, the love and everything in between.
Thank you for giving us all this gift, I appreciate your hard work so freaking much!
Ok now onto your sequel wooohooooo!!
