"What are you doing here again?" I was called saying someone's waiting for me in the office and I had an inkling feing it would be her and I was right. My senses are extra sensitive these days

"Look, I'm sure you're not here as one. What did you really come here for?" Where did the braveness come from? For my own sanity, I sorted out my thoughts and came to a conclusion that I have nothing at fault. Even if they were once together, they're not anymore. It's time to end all of this.

I held my shaking hands together as she continues "didn't you wonder why he didn't come home as scheduled?" I want to step back and cover my ears but I couldn't move. She came so close to me and whispered in my ears "while you were busy with your son's birthday, we were busy creating our own child."

"Oh, won't you look at the time? I need to go see my OB, you know how it is." She smiles and left me standing frozen. Everything started to sink in and I didn't wanna break down at work.
