It's been months since the last I received a message from him. He told me we'll see each other again soon but still haven't heard anything from him.

"Still waiting for that boy?" Pranpriya teased.

"Do you think he's a noble?" I keep wondering about his real identity. Will he someone allowed to be with me?

It is times like this I wish I wasn't a royal. Girls can only marry a man in the same status with them but the boys can pick whomever which was unfair. I could only hope he's someone that can take me away from here but days continued to pass by without another word from him and the queen mother just told me about my arranged marriage to the neighboring country's crowned prince.

"Where are you?" My heart feels heavy.

The scene changed and it was when the castle was attacked in broad daylight. The princess wanted to sneak out to the palace one last time and search for him but was not able to because of the sudden chaos.

She saw a sword swinging her way and she shut her eyes close waiting for her flesh to be cut but pain didn't come. She opened her eyes to see the back of her said husband to be, blocking her. He turned to her briefly. His deep eyes and strong set of jaws seriously looked at her and said go with his raspy deep voice.

I woke up with a start and immediately squinted my eyes at the glaring florescent light that greeted me.

"She's awake! Yedam, call yeol." I hear someone say. I was confused for a moment then rememebered letting go of the breath I'm holding as I let the water swallow me. I gasped and sat up.

"Chaeyoung! relax." lisa coaxed me, gently letting me lay back down but I shook my head, my throat feels dry.

"Yeri" I managed to croak out and jisoo quickly handed me water. She assisted me in drinking while lisa rearranged my pillows so I can lean on it, sitting.

"Yeri's fine." they assured me and stepped aside for the doctor to check on me. The doctor checked my temperature, my eyes, ears and mouth and asked me if I feel uncomfortable anywhere which I answered no to.

"Her vitals seem stable but she still needs to stay at least for one more day to observe." Yeol nodded and I feel my face turning to frown remembering a distant memory that resurfaced while I was out. A new f
