CHAPTER 34: THE NEIGHBOUR WHO KNEW EVERYTHING

                  Jae looked at the plastic that he hold in his hands. A smile tugged at his lips, thinking about the person that shall receive it. Walking faster, he looked around as the darkness swarmed over him. After closing the shop, he went to company to meet Geun Seuk. It seemed they faced some difficulties. Thanks God it was not that big and he managed to solve it fast. Then he remembered he promised his co-worker something. Or more exactly was his beautiful co-worker, Hara Marina. The woman that he knew last few months, had made him grew attached to her. Though she was wearing extremely large clothes and overlarge glasses that outgrow her petite face, but he could not help her looking at her every day. She looked extremely cute and beautiful even with the strange clothes.

              Jae sniffed his nose as the cold weather started to feel till his bone. He needed to get faster before it was getting late. Glance at his watch on his right hand, he gasped and quickened his steps. As he moved faster, a face came on his vision. A woman actually that came interrupted his view. His smile became wider as he remembered it very well the sweet moment today. Actually, he was pretty shock to see her at the shop today. Who doesn’t when Kuroki Meisa, the undeniably and rare beauty was at his uncle’s bookshop? The famous actress and model was talking with him, and he could not smiling until now.

          Remembering Kuroki Meisa right now, reminded him of Hara san. Actually, he knew from the beginning, that she was Horikita Maki, the famous actress. Keeping her identity inside the closet and used her real name, did manage to lie to people who she was. But not to him. The reason why he never asked her about it was because he knew each person had their private matters. Same with Hara san, who keep secret on her identity. If the whole Japan know Horikita Maki worked in old bookshop, it might make the Japanese entertainment in ruckus. So, keeping her secret gave him benefit as well. He got a beautiful co-corker, plus he could have a company while managing his uncle's bookshop. It is fun working with her. Jae smiled even wider thinking of it.

                    As Jae stepped into the apartment hallway, he looked the door of Hara’s apartment. It was opened wide. Strange was what he thought within her mind. Immediately, he walked closer and peeked inside of the house. A woman was standing and she was looking at a man. Jae raised his eyebrows before realised that Maki took off her glasses. No wonder he felt different.But who is that man? His brain asked him the question. His feet moved closer, to get better view of the man. Suddenly, his eyes became wide and he closed his mouth. It is Toma Ikuta! What was he doing here?

                Toma stared at Maki for a long time. After he told her about the he saw her that morning, she seemed to be shock. His hands gripped even tighter on his trousers. Seeing Maki’s reaction was already gave him the answer on the questions that had been running on his head from the beginning. Now he knew why she stopped from the entertainment, and why she had been hiding herself. Toma bit his lips, feeling so angry and sad.
